@@shadedepeche2556 what ppl are u talking to, maybe it's getting more recognition now but 2 years ago I remember saying it was my fav disney movie and like 3 ppl in the group said it was "boring" and a "meh" movie. It also used to get not only mediocre but even negative reviews just like 2 yrs ago. Maybe things have changed but it's still FAR from getting the credit it deserves, especially when it's pretty much a goddamn masterpiece. So....yeah. I don't like calling beloved films "overrated" but TPATF surprisingly is kind of shat on by a lot. It's underrated to me.

Saying a movie is boring is an excuse to not talk about, overlooking the movie and not underrating it. Things have definitely changed as people are now realizing this is one of Disney’s last 2d animated movies though, and I wasn’t in America when the movie first came out, so maybe I missed out on the criticism, so don’t quote me on that.

Tarzan, The Emperor’s New Groove, Lion King, Meet the Robinsons, and Lilo & Stitch are my top favorites. Tarzan has a great soundtrack. I love Lilo & Stitch’s Animation style and story. The Emperor’s New Groove is currently my favorite movie and it also has my favorite character, Kronk. I just love its humor. Meet the Robinsons is underrated

@@ghosthq100 Ratatouille is my least favorite Pixar film. The idea of rats cooking food for human consumption is revolting. And don't get me started on the incredibly awkward scene between Linguini and Colette. I don't need to mention which one it is, I hope. Not even Cars 2, as bad as it is, deserves as much "dislikeness" (for lack of a better word) as Ratatouille. I'd still give it a C-, however. It has very good animation. But the weak characters (other than Ego, who unfortunately isn't in it much) and a rather mediocre story turns it off for me.

When you look at how relatively crude Steamboat Willie is, basically Ub Iwerks cranking out a thousand drawings a day, and realize Snow White came out almost exactly nine years later. Nine years! And there really wasn't even outside competition pushing them. Under one roof, a group of artists just went ahead and created arguably the high-point of an entire artform by the end of the Golden Age, inventing all the tools, rules, and technical wizardry to go along with it. It's hard to think of another explosion of creative energy that can match it.

Personally, I enjoyed Atlantis because it’s fun and entertaining. But the plot and character development left much to be desired in my opinion and I agree with Brian’s assessment that it was an animated movie that was trying to be live-action. Disney needs to listen to us fans and make THIS live-action remake and not the CGI Robin Hood remake they’re fixing to make

Why does Chicken Little never gets some love?! I remember liking it as a "kid" aka teenager. I watched it like 5 times. I'm now 30, but it holds a place in my heart. I'd put it B or C. From what I know, Chicken Little was accepted over another movie by one of the co-directors of Mulan, Barry Cook, named "My Peoples". "My Peoples" was supposed to be a Romeo and Juliet-esque like movie where two people fall in love from rival families, the Harpers and McGees (the lovers names being Elgen Harper and Rose McGee). Father McGee makes a potion to erase Elgen's memory but the potion instead gives Elgen the ability to make his dolls come to life. Afterwards, the dolls attempt to stop the rivalry and bring the couple together. Some Disney executives liked the idea but wanted some changes that Barry wasn't in favor in but gave into, which didn't matter cause Chicken Little beat it to its release and they stuck with that instead.

I was surprised that Big Hero Six wasn't higher. The superhero stuff was fine, but what made the movie stand out for me was how well it handled the topics of depression and the grieving process. Depression isn't always crying constantly and moping around; sometimes it's just being blank and not wanting to do anything (like not attending your college classes). And though Hiro starts looking like he's getting better after he starts going after Callaghan, the only way he can actually move on is to accept Tadashi's death and start processing his grief.

ALADDIN WILL FOREVER BE MY FAVOURITE DISNEY MOVIE! The original just did everything right, music, characters, story, stakes, morals, atmosphere, memorable moments, COMEDY! The remake was surprisingly just as good, it had its own set of pros and cons but I do respect them for changing the story just slightly to give characters like Jasmine and Jafar better motives and stories while sacrificing Iago, but it still had the charm and magic of the first story! That's just my opinion, both renditions of Aladdin were just Top Tier!

@@DavidRay_40 I do NOT have very poor taste, I am just not picky when it comes to Disney movies. 85% of their movies are original, humorous, and addictive. And as for The Buck Cluck Question, I do not excuse Buck Cluck for the way he treated Chicken Little, but that is what gave the movie conflict and made it interesting, and at the end of the film, he learned that he needed to stand by his son's side and trust him. So, in conclusion, you are probably just somewhat picky about those certain movies that are a little more on the "Family-Friendly" side, OR, maybe you are against the animation quality and just brought you're feelings out on the plot. But we all have our own opinions :)

My mom loved Copper and every time he was introduced to Tod for the first time in the movie she'd always go, "I'm a hound dog. Awroo-roo-roo!" so I've got a big soft spot for it. Also big soft spot for Meet the Robinsons because it just... It's such a beautiful example of that old Disney Magic I get from the older films. The message that you can be anything and do anything if you only try makes me so happy and it always makes me feel like a little girl again.

Here ya go Brian. I'd love to talk about The Princess and the Frog. I don't get why The Princess and the Frog didn't do well. It's a fantastic movie with one of my favorite princesses, princes, and villains. Also, Charlotte. I love her. The music is pretty good, especially Almost There and Friends on the Other Side. The animation is stunning. I've heard many different reasons for why the movie flopped by Disney standards: 'The world wasn't ready for a black princess' or 'Disney set it up to fail on purpose' but I don't care what the reason really was, I'm just upset that Disney is never gonna make a sequel, because again, by THEIR standards, the film didn't do well. And most people I have talked to really like this movie, so I don't understand what happened. It's so weird. Also, I'm glad you recognize the genius in Treasure Planet. The fun characters, the seamless mix of 2D and CGI, the gorgeous visuals, and the fantastic music all play a part in why I love it, but the biggest thing the pushes that film above and beyond any other to me is the relationship between Jim and Silver. Their story made me fall in love with the trope of an unrelated man taking a young boy under their wing and becoming like a true father and son. Its why I love All Might and Izuku from My Hero Academia and Yondu and Peter Quill from Guardians of the Galaxy (actually, Yondu and Peter are pretty much alternate versions of Jim and Silver). Treasure Planet is my favorite movie of all time. It's my one and only SS tier for Disney movies and movies in general.

My personal top 10 favourite Disney movies of all time: -Mulan (Watched this well over 100 times and am absolutely obsessed with it to this day. Will probably forever be my favourite Disney movie. Bar is very tough to beat personally) -Aladdin (Guarantee you, if this didn't have the genie it would never have made it as high on the list. Aladdin as a whole is one of my all time favourite stories, but the genie in the Disney movie...he just sold this as a masterpiece of animation and one of my all time favourite movies period along with Mulan and Lion King. The holy trio so to speak. Genie is hilarious and I can't imagine Aladdin without him anymore.) -Lion King (Need I say more why this is on the list?) -Big Hero 6 (As an anime fan, I REALLY like this movie. Best modern Disney animated film by a long shot personally. Something new and different in the animation division that came out of left field. ADORE this film. Masterpiece of the modern Disney era. Can't praise it enough😂😂😂) -Hunchback of Notre Dame (As someone who read the book, bold of Disney to animate this for a family friendly afternoon. Prefer the book, but this movie was wonderful in it's own right, especially with the music😍😍😍) -Little Mermaid (Ariel is my favourite Disney Princess, and I'll take that to my grave. That's saying something as I seriously love Jasmine to bits as well, but....Ariel is just something special. Jasmine wasn't the star of her movie and was more 'The prize' for Aladdin so to speak. Ariel is the kind of girl I wish existed because that's wife material right there people.) -Rescuers original (Know I'm on the minority here, but I have real close connections with this film. Love it death!!! One of those things that I know if I watched it for the first time as an adult, I'd probably hate it, but it gives me EXTREME nostalgia) -Brother Bear (Highly underrated. Brilliant movie and oddly enough taught me a lot about being a big brother as my bro had just been born round about this time in history) -Lady and the Tramp (Appreciate it more and more as I get older, didn't care for it half as much as a child as I do now) -Alice in Wonderland (My first VHS my Mom bought me back in the day. Will forever have a soft spot for it. Same thing with Rescuers. Nostalgia won me over)

As a result the army had so much respect for her already as is, once they figured out her secret they only gained even more respect towards her. I was surprised because like you said, you'd think they wouldn't bat an eye and execute her on the spot, but nope. But again, it's a folk tale and just like every folk tale the details change throughout the generations. Who knows what really happened.
