They really brought the mortal to mortal kombat with these fights. I LOVED this movie as a kid and i still do! My biggest issues were the earthrealm warriors really never using their special abilities from the game. To add to the Reptile Liu fight: what seals the deal is the announcer saying "Reptile" and the music. Paired with the choreography and showcase of the bicycle kick is just the piece de la résistance.

you did an incredible job on these. and kudos for not giving Kang vs. Kitana bonus points simply because Kitana is gorgeous af. You are a better man than I. I still think this was the best MK. I don't know how they did it worse this time around. That Cage vs. Scorpion scenery is mesmerizing. I didn't realize all the other scenery nods until your video, so I appreciate pointing those out.

I think Bridgette Wilson didn't have much time to prepare for this movie since she flew in right after filming Billy Maddison to replace Cameron Diaz. Even tho she's a very well driven Sonya. She could have more fighting scenes if wasn't for that. But when it comes to fighting, Sandra Hess did a way superior job in Annihilation against Cyrax and Mileena.

hey really brought the mortal to mortal kombat with these fights. I LOVED this movie as a kid and i still do! Paired with the choreography and showcase of the bicycle kick is just the piece de la résistance.I studied the reptile and liu kang fight everyday and learned reptile to a tee and used his move on a kid that was bullying me in elementary school. Atop of that it started my journey as a martial artist even though I know 8 different styles and I am a black belt in Taekwondo. With the fight between smoke and liu kang in the second movie I remember smoke's kicks and he ruined liu kang. Funny fact: the same music that was used in the reptile/liu kang fight is the same music used in the adult actress industry. :) I think the actess' name was traci lords. don't ask me how I know.

I honestly believe Sonya vs Kano is S Tier. The dialogue alone is some of the best in the movie(“Come on Sonya, give me a break” “Okay!” Lmaoo). And it LOOKS like a real fight, which makes sense because it’s two regular human characters. And Liu Kang vs Katana was useless. I wish you had an F tier to put it in F tier 😂

Being an earnest Sub-Zero fan the Liu Kang ✨ Sub-Zero battle was the most disappointing out of all three ninja battles. Their dual was noticeably deprived of ignited combative substance being that Sub-Zero and Liu Kang are amongst the most iconic historical characters of the Mortal Kombat series. There's no comparison when set next to the Scorpion/ Johnny Cage ~ Reptile/ Lui Kang battles.

Chan vs Shang B tier. Too short. Art vs Goro B. I was invested in Art as a kid because Johnny Cage knew who he was. This gave him cred with me and I related to Johnny feeling the loss. I agree with you, Liu Kang vs Kitana was a waste of screen time. Liu vs Raiden or Johnny on set of the movie was more of a fight. Johnny vs Scorpion is my favourite.

I'll disagree a little bit with the henchman fight. It was really meant to show the "chosen" combatants how a dude who, to them, seemed very capable and to show the absolute danger they're about to face. Having a more drawn out fight would actually lessen the impact compared to just exploding a dude before the fight even began.

As an original fan who played the first game as a kid and dam near cried when they announced the movie as a kid I kinda disagree with some of the placements but overall a good list. You forgot the fight with the warriors Shang sung raised during the lui vs Shang final fight tho. I think some of my disagreements come from actually being there when it first went down. YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE to understand… 🙏🏽💯

Motaro in Mortal Kombat 2. Where Kintaro was the Step Before Shao Kahn) Jax VS Cyrax (I know, Not Bad, BUT Not Much Shown From Cyrax. Only That He is Too Dangerous) Liu Kang VS Smoke (Cyber Smoke in MK2 Instead of Human Smoke) Yeah I know, We saw Scorpion And Again Sub-Zero. Also... I know We Saw Little of Nightwolf and Jade. Also Sonya VS Mileena (Little Hard For Sonya, Then Jax Appeared, And Some Creature Too) (I Was Thinking Too Quick). And Some Other Fights And Also The Finale Fight (BOSS FIGHT) Liu Kang VS Shao Kahn (And a Person that Appeared and Disappeared, Kind a Like Mastermind). NO Mortal Kombat 3 Section (Invasion of Earth Realm). Mortal Kombat 1 Tournament (Tournament Number 10) Mortal Kombat 2 Alternate Tournament Mortal Kombat 3 Invasion Mortal Kombat 4 Shinnok The Rest is the Rest.
