I think Muta's cover is fantastic, it's a representation of how he sees his curse and his dream body standing among the corpses he controls with his technique, I know Gege likes Mechamaru's design and I can see why, the fact that Muta is coloured and the puppets are dull is also a nice touch. I want to defend Cover 26. I think the way Satoru smiles at the camellia flowers is very special and intentional. Among other references and symbolism, in Miyagi Prefecture, camellia are believed to whisper the voices of the dead. Camellia is listed as the birthday flower for February 3, which is Suguru's birthday. The title on the right reads "towards South". Camellia can also symbolize 'longing' and 'reserved affection', which only adds to this forlorn imagery.

Ngl, when you mentioned the Geto vol cover's color scheme being muddy it kinda reminded me of how the former viewed and expressed the taste of curse spirits when he consumes them. And the orb that they transform into being the prominent thing in the cover kinda provides good juxtaposition of how beautiful it's core colors are while the light it actually emits is dull and muddy, which shows that no matter how appealing or beautiful a curse is, by their nature alone they are always horrid beings. It's just my little perspective on things, but you kinda made the cover better for me when you said that.

Honestly your comment of Geto in vol 9 "looks covered in oil" is interesting, because Geto's name in Japanese is written as summer oil = 夏油. I do agree it's pretty basic as a cover, I think the muddiness of the color fits the tone of the chapters it contained pretty well, though. It is "gyokusetsu / 玉折 = broken jewel" after all. The focus on the spirit ball symbolizing the negative emotions of people and possibly his own hatred towards them, I think is pretty cool.

I’m really interested to see what characters will get covers going forward Takaba will 100% get vol 27, Heian Sukuna and Yuji (prob as the final cover) are both super likely, but it’s hard to tell how many volumes worth or chapters are left in the story so I’m unsure how much room there is for a 2nd Yuta cover or an Uraume one Still bitter Mahito got 2 that are both just him in his normal form, especially since he’s barely in vol 6 in the first place
