i never thought i would hear the phrase "head empty no thoughts" in one of these videos LOL. thank you for the analysis! i always liked aeons story. just like sophie and cassandra, his story feels like the project soul people were taking a stab at creating their own greek tragedy. sc5 i think had the most interesting yet most upsetting continuation of his story because after the timeskip, he actually was starting to slowly remember that he used to be a human. i would have LOVED to see that being explored in the actual story. but also lol sc5 says that he had developed a taste for holy warriors so i think it would have been kinda funny to see pat side tracked because a lizard freak wouldnt leave him alone. i really hope that sc7 gives us aeon flashbacks or something where we can see and connect with his human form. ALSO i am very excited to hear what you say about maxi 😁 hes one of my top 5 favorite calibur characters

On a related note, I find it interesting that he’s referred to as Aeon in Soulcalibur V. Practically speaking, it’s because he’s not all lizard anymore, but it also implies that he’s regained part of himself; he’s simultaneously at his most beastly and his most human. Also, it’s now my headcanon that he’s always just-off camera in Soulcalibur V, waiting for the perfect chance to chow down on Patroklos.

You should make a video like you did for the Soul Calibur 5 newcomers, where you rank costumes and character designs, for the bonus characters from SC4, Algol, Azwel, Necrid and Groh.

As much as I would've liked to see something of Aeon Calcos' Spartan origins reflected in his armor, the idea that he could very well have scavenged his armor works for me. (I'm not about to gripe about anachronisms here if Sophitia came right out the gate as a worshipper of the Greek pantheon.) On the other hand, I like the variety in terms of the... well, lizardy features. Also, the Yoshi's Island music at 1:32 got a chuckle out of me.

Come to think of it, there’s a lot of fighting game reptiles: Reptile, Riptor, Alex, Lizardman, Busuzima… There’s probably more I’m forgetting.

I think SC3 had the best looks for him, but SC2 and SC5 are pretty nice as well. Like most characters, I think the SC4 look is probably one of my least favorites.

If You ever run out of characters how about bonus and Chronictle of the Sword characters from SC3 that are not Hwang or Amy. Those could be divided into two parts if it gets too long.

Is SoulCalibur 6 still worth getting in 2024?

I think so. You might have trouble finding online matches unless you go through Discord or something, but it’s a very fun game with a decent amount of single-player content.
