i think its funny that the tekken anime actually took the time to make jin specify that he wants his outfit to have flames on it only for them to not really incorporate it on his outfits prominantly in t8 minus that one alt for devil jin lol id love to hear what you have to say about the t8 newcomers and their designs!

Lol that’s a good point about the anime. I’m planning on making an episode about the T8 newcomers eventually, but at my current rate, that’s probably going to be a while, so I’ll give you the short version now. I’m not fond of Azucena as a character (they leaned WAY too hard into the coffee gimmick imo), but I think her outfits are pretty good. They’re nice and colorful, and the crescent moon is a strong motif. Victor’s costumes are just okay. They suit him well (no pun intended), but none of them really excite me. Compared to the formal wear of Lee and Kazuya or the spy equipment of Raven and Dragunov, they’re not that interesting. Reina’s outfits are a mixed bag. Her default is okay, but I think they could’ve taken her in a more interesting direction (I have some ideas of my own for Reina that I might try to draw and post on here). Her first alternate costume is awesome, and the second is… not great. BTW, I finished the script for my video speculating about Reina’s backstory. My plan is to record it alongside the next episode of Palette Swap.

@@Silvershirehonestly that sums up my feelings pretty well too tbh. victor himself is a cool character but man they could have done more to show that aesthetically. azucenas outfits are fun, i like the gold and black one best. and for reina, i just felt like her outfit was boring tbh, not to mention she looks like she could be asukas twin 😭 for what shes supposed to be, i really feel like they could have done more. i do like her alt though its really pretty

I honestly like Lee’s Tekken 8 design very much, looks Battle ready and all. By the way, I do have a fond of battle suits and body armor.

Devil Jin costume being a reflection of Tekken 6 Jin is a really cool observation. The current conflict in Tekken 8 is the direct consequence of Jin's actions in T6. I suppose between that and only DJ keeping the flame motif, T8 Jin thematically tries to be completely divorced from DJ and his destructive past.

Jin’s 2p, and his Motorbiker look (1p) are my favorites of the character. In terms of Devil Jin, simply his 1p. Angel Jin, though, is 10 out of 10.

I don't really have much to say on TK8, mostly because I haven't played it, but the designs do look cool outside of the game, especially Yoshimitsu, not that many blue costumes for him.

You should've ranked devil jin's 3P without the jacket, it's the canon one in the story and it's different enough from the t5 to be ranked, having yellow flames, different claws and no arm chain.

It’s an improvement, but it still doesn’t beat the original. I do like the black corruption under his gauntlets, though.
