Out of 155 coasters, nothing I have rode is more painful than All American Triple Loop at Indiana Beach. Everytime it transitions, you bang your head back and forth on the shoulder harness that comes down like an accordion. It is a long ride too so it brings the pain repeatedly.

Good queues get you excited for the ride (Theming, entrance design, station fly by/interactions, nice sights of rides or scenery, offers shade or heat in the winter, free lockers, ect ) while others can make you exhausted before you even step on the ride (no shade, monotonous safety videos on repeat, near loud lift chains, endless switch backs when line is empty, standing on uneven terrain, exit drops you off away from main path, ect). Would be fun to hear what you prioritize or praise in line queue design

The worst coaster ever made was Drachen Fire at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Fun fact: it was so terrible, that after they closed the ride, it just sat there, for a while. Anyway, the park train would pass by right next to the ride and every time the train guide would be like "AND DONT LOOK OUT THAT SIDE OF THE TRAIN!!!!"

I've been on SooperDooperLooper once during my visit to Hersheypark back in 2005 and while it is is nowhere near my top favorite coasters that I have been on, it kinda reminded me of Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain at the time I rode it. And yes- I know Revolution it still around. I'm just saying that SooperDooperLooper reminded me of it at the time.

wild waves hypes timberhawk, and I was so scared to ride it as a kid (the only roller coaster i'd ridden was the Dragon Wagon at the county fair) but it definitely wasn't the "thrill of a lifetime." it felt less like a roller coaster and more like driving a jeep over uneven terrain. also I was today years old when I learned that washington has very few amusement parks.

And although Mineblower has a good layout and now some good track sections where RMC has done work it's so horrendously rough in it's bad track segments I can't rank it above Apocalypse either.

Have you ever ridden loup-garou in Walibi Belgium. Its a roug vekoma woorden coaster with great airtime a good lay-out but the first drop is very shaky.

Interesting that you called Gerstlauers either jarringly rough or butter smooth. While I've only ridden four coasters from them (Van Helsing's Factory, G'sengte Sau, Karacho and Goldrush), I thought that the two infinities had shaky moments or a rattle, but far from outright rough. Could just be that they were more well kept than other ones and of course it wasn't as noticable because they only had lapbars.

The Goudurix has an awesome layout and the first thing you want to do when you see it, right accross the lake, is ride it. Then you see how small the queue is while the rest of the park is so damned crowded. Great ! Lucky day you guess ! You do the ride. You didn't actively push your head against the seat (like if you are trying to merge with it) during it. Your skull ping pong between left and right side of the over-shoulder strap. You go out with a headache and a slight nausea. They refurbished it twice since the last time i did it, it was a while ago (despite coming back several time to parc asterix since, their other coasters are awesome), but the queue being still quite relatively small I'm prettry sure the experience didn't change much. Just too brutal to be enjoyable. The name is fine tho if you are familiar with the theme of the park.

B&M and Intamin come from similar places (they all originate from the Schwarzkopf-Stengel side of coaster creation) but it's interesting just how different their trajectory became. Only a handful of B&Ms are top class headliners anymore, but their coasters are almost never bad. Intamin makes some of the most exciting rides on the planet, but there ain't no lemon like an Intamin lemon. If they work at all.

I rode coaster express a couple weeks ago and actually didnt find it all that painful, but only because instead of just shaking it feels like it is bouncing about 6 inches up and down throughout the whole ride. I had my arms up and i looked like a wacky waving inflatable tube man every time it built up speed, but i dont think it cracks my top 10 worst, i get much more pain from rides with potholes instead.

My father brags all the time he doesn't get headaches because he's the father of one. Thanks, Dad. I say this because when he talks about never getting headaches, he ALWAYS mentions the only headache he ever had that lasted longer than a couple minutes was the one he got via Flashback at Magic Mountain, which he's declared the worst Coaster ever, and also #2 - 10 because there's nothing in its league. And the weird thing is, he'd been on it before and didn't remember it being THAT bad, but we rode it right before it closed and ended up back at the hotel early that day. I've never seen the man use an ice pack except that day. He's in ACE. He's rode everything. That was the only coaster he's ever been on where he was like "they really need to take a wrecking ball to it." The only other ride he said that of is Insanity at The Strat, which he said was just plain too intense to be enjoyable.

The first time I rode Flight of Fear, I thought it was really fun. Several years later I went back and rode it again with my girlfriend and it was one of the roughest experiences I've ever had on a ride and she hated it, got a huge headache afterwards, and ended up vomiting. It has really fallen into disrepair as of late.

The one coaster on this list I've actually ridden is sooperdooperLooper, and, well, if it's the worst Schwarzkopf, Schwarzkopf must be pretty awesome. I agree that it basically turns into a gentle Mine Train after the initial loop, but I don't think that's bad. I kind of have a sentimental attachment to it because I saw it running but was too scared to ride it the very first summer it was operating, when it was a huge deal. And then I came back decades later as an adult and went out of my way to ride it, so it was no longer one that got away.

Flashback is the worst coaster I've ever been on. We rode it on the way out of Magic Mountain since it was at the entrance and had no line at all! After that ride, I had to drive back to San Diego and was in so much pain, I had to pull over a half dozen times to flex and stretch ... awful experience!

I made my first visit there last week and he's not wrong. I knew Roar would be bad but I never thought a B&M could be as bad as Firebird. On a positive note, Ride Of Steel is way better than the one at Darien Lake, Batwing is way better than Nighthawk at Carowinds and Ragin' Cajun spun more than any Wild Mouse I've ever ridden.

I only got one ride on Dragon at Adventureland, but it wasn't rough at all, only janky. But Texas Tornado is clearly better. For Intamin, I haven't ridden those 2, so my personal pick is another Magic Mountain Intamin, Shockwave/Batman the Escape, one of my least favorite coasters ever. I do rank Rattler (RCCA), Texas Giant (Dinn), & Firebird (B&M) below it. For RMC, the new Fire in the Hole is the true bottom of their list, but I can understand not counting it.

I got back on Jersey Devil again this year, excited from all the people saying it was so much faster than opening season. Well if it was, I couldn't tell. I rode it 4 or 5 times throughout the day and it was just not that great. The smaller single rail coasters are far more fun. I have to agree, Firebird is absolutely abysmal. Vortex is glass smooth compared to that ride. I actually like Vortex personally. I don't understand why people say it's so rough, I don't find it rough at all.

Reminder to everyone reading this after some idiot went into a restricted area under banshee and got critically injured-areas are restricted for a REASON! You can get hurt or die if you go into said areas. If you lose something (phone, glasses, watch) it's most likely destroyed anyway, so there's no point in going into these areas; really just don't bring loose articles on the ride and you won't have this issue.

If you want to see the REAL WORST CCI, I would highly recommend Theme Park Review's POV of the Hurricane at the Myrtle Beach Pavilion. I have never experienced a rougher roller coaster. I never rode Son of Beast, so I can't speak much to that coaster's pain level. Don't get me wrong when they first put the dragon in it was a hell of a roller coaster I just feel like they didn't maintain and take care of what needed to be taken care of as being a passholder and being there every day with my kids but that's just my opinion I just remembered the last time I was on it I told both my kids I will not ride this again and don't get me wrong when they first put it in any year afterwards when there wasn't a line the kids would write it three times in a row and more but towards the end it was a freaking nightmare to be on just saying

Viking is the worst coaster I’ve been on by far but Huracan, Time warp and coaster express all fall in my top 15 worst coasters, the only one I don’t understand is Goudurix as it receives so much hate and I really enjoyed it but another Vekoma looper, Shaman at Gardaland left me in pain for days and is the 2nd worst coaster I’ve been on

I think jersey Devil and Roar are great rides. Devil was slow the first year but has gotten much better. Also, didn’t rmc make Hell Cat at Clementon Park? That’s the worst coast anywhere
