Good queues get you excited for the ride (Theming, entrance design, station fly by/interactions, nice sights of rides or scenery, offers shade or heat in the winter, free lockers, ect ) while others can make you exhausted before you even step on the ride (no shade, monotonous safety videos on repeat, near loud lift chains, endless switch backs when line is empty, standing on uneven terrain, exit drops you off away from main path, ect). Would be fun to hear what you prioritize or praise in line queue design

Out of 155 coasters, nothing I have rode is more painful than All American Triple Loop at Indiana Beach. Everytime it transitions, you bang your head back and forth on the shoulder harness that comes down like an accordion. It is a long ride too so it brings the pain repeatedly.

i was unfortunate to have gotten a ride on harley quinn at SFDK and the best way to describe how rough it was is being inside a blender that was turned on while simultaneously being dragged by a car on a dirt road

The first time I rode Flight of Fear, I thought it was really fun. Several years later I went back and rode it again with my girlfriend and it was one of the roughest experiences I've ever had on a ride and she hated it, got a huge headache afterwards, and ended up vomiting. It has really fallen into disrepair as of late.

I love negative Chris! Yesss! But Looper?? Is it because of its proximity to your mortal enemy Skyrush? It was my daughter's first looping coaster, her first coaster she went on by herself, and is a good introduction coaster for kids. The helix at the end when the trim brakes are off/down is pretty fun.

Interesting that you called Gerstlauers either jarringly rough or butter smooth. While I've only ridden four coasters from them (Van Helsing's Factory, G'sengte Sau, Karacho and Goldrush), I thought that the two infinities had shaky moments or a rattle, but far from outright rough. Could just be that they were more well kept than other ones and of course it wasn't as noticable because they only had lapbars.

Flashback is the worst coaster I've ever been on. We rode it on the way out of Magic Mountain since it was at the entrance and had no line at all! After that ride, I had to drive back to San Diego and was in so much pain, I had to pull over a half dozen times to flex and stretch ... awful experience!

When I went on Roar last season it was absolutely ripping fast. It looked fast from the queue but was way more insane on the ride. I was so shook I didn't reride but it wasn't shaky it was just bonkers. Heard the back seats were super rough. Nobody else was on it

wild waves hypes timberhawk, and I was so scared to ride it as a kid (the only roller coaster i'd ridden was the Dragon Wagon at the county fair) but it definitely wasn't the "thrill of a lifetime." it felt less like a roller coaster and more like driving a jeep over uneven terrain. also I was today years old when I learned that washington has very few amusement parks.

The Goudurix has an awesome layout and the first thing you want to do when you see it, right accross the lake, is ride it. Then you see how small the queue is while the rest of the park is so damned crowded. Great ! Lucky day you guess ! You do the ride. You didn't actively push your head against the seat (like if you are trying to merge with it) during it. Your skull ping pong between left and right side of the over-shoulder strap. You go out with a headache and a slight nausea. They refurbished it twice since the last time i did it, it was a while ago (despite coming back several time to parc asterix since, their other coasters are awesome), but the queue being still quite relatively small I'm prettry sure the experience didn't change much. Just too brutal to be enjoyable. The name is fine tho if you are familiar with the theme of the park.

I shouldn’t be too shocked that Anaconda and Firebird are next to each other, but personally they’re at the opposite ends of my credit list. I’ve only ever had one not so good ride on Firebird, but most of them have been painless.

B&M and Intamin come from similar places (they all originate from the Schwarzkopf-Stengel side of coaster creation) but it's interesting just how different their trajectory became. Only a handful of B&Ms are top class headliners anymore, but their coasters are almost never bad. Intamin makes some of the most exciting rides on the planet, but there ain't no lemon like an Intamin lemon. If they work at all.

I agree with everyone. I live near Adventureland in Iowa and did get to ride Dragon. I can confirm that it was a horrible coaster. Closing it down was the right call. I also knew Coast Rider and Wind Jammer would be on your list. Lol they deserve to be. Another great video!

The one coaster on this list I've actually ridden is sooperdooperLooper, and, well, if it's the worst Schwarzkopf, Schwarzkopf must be pretty awesome. I agree that it basically turns into a gentle Mine Train after the initial loop, but I don't think that's bad. I kind of have a sentimental attachment to it because I saw it running but was too scared to ride it the very first summer it was operating, when it was a huge deal. And then I came back decades later as an adult and went out of my way to ride it, so it was no longer one that got away.

Goudurix really isn't that bad. There is a bit of headbanging but the inversions are insane and the forces are excellent. I have no idea how people hate this so much. (or how people say HRRR is actually better than it)

Don't get me wrong when they first put the dragon in it was a hell of a roller coaster I just feel like they didn't maintain and take care of what needed to be taken care of as being a passholder and being there every day with my kids but that's just my opinion I just remembered the last time I was on it I told both my kids I will not ride this again and don't get me wrong when they first put it in any year afterwards when there wasn't a line the kids would write it three times in a row and more but towards the end it was a freaking nightmare to be on just saying

I rode coaster express a couple weeks ago and actually didnt find it all that painful, but only because instead of just shaking it feels like it is bouncing about 6 inches up and down throughout the whole ride. I had my arms up and i looked like a wacky waving inflatable tube man every time it built up speed, but i dont think it cracks my top 10 worst, i get much more pain from rides with potholes instead.

I made my first visit there last week and he's not wrong. I knew Roar would be bad but I never thought a B&M could be as bad as Firebird. On a positive note, Ride Of Steel is way better than the one at Darien Lake, Batwing is way better than Nighthawk at Carowinds and Ragin' Cajun spun more than any Wild Mouse I've ever ridden.

Ride of steel is so good, the double circle is the only letdown and the main reason I prefer Mako at SeaWorld over it even though they're very similar intamins

Ok, haven't ridden Firebird, but I didn't think it's previous incarnation of Apocalypse was worse than Vortex. Or Anaconda. And although Mineblower has a good layout and now some good track sections where RMC has done work it's so horrendously rough in it's bad track segments I can't rank it above Apocalypse either.

Viking is the worst coaster I’ve been on by far but Huracan, Time warp and coaster express all fall in my top 15 worst coasters, the only one I don’t understand is Goudurix as it receives so much hate and I really enjoyed it but another Vekoma looper, Shaman at Gardaland left me in pain for days and is the 2nd worst coaster I’ve been on

I only got one ride on Dragon at Adventureland, but it wasn't rough at all, only janky. But Texas Tornado is clearly better. For Intamin, I haven't ridden those 2, so my personal pick is another Magic Mountain Intamin, Shockwave/Batman the Escape, one of my least favorite coasters ever. I do rank Rattler (RCCA), Texas Giant (Dinn), & Firebird (B&M) below it. For RMC, the new Fire in the Hole is the true bottom of their list, but I can understand not counting it.

Reminder to everyone reading this after some idiot went into a restricted area under banshee and got critically injured-areas are restricted for a REASON! You can get hurt or die if you go into said areas. If you lose something (phone, glasses, watch) it's most likely destroyed anyway, so there's no point in going into these areas; really just don't bring loose articles on the ride and you won't have this issue.

If you want to see the REAL WORST CCI, I would highly recommend Theme Park Review's POV of the Hurricane at the Myrtle Beach Pavilion. I have never experienced a rougher roller coaster. I never rode Son of Beast, so I can't speak much to that coaster's pain level. However, the train I rode on Hurricane in 2005 was transferred to Son of Beast after Hurricane was demolished in 2006, and I hear the coaster was even worse after that. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3ran3Rti9iJjJY

Well I'm going to tell you me and my two kids and their father had passes there for years growing up as our kids were growing up then I'm going to tell you last time I rode the dragon at Adventureland it wasn't just me it was my daughter too and she's was young she was complaining her neck hurt and I know mine hurt but what I will say is when the ride first came out it was okay but through the years it just got rougher and rougher and rougher yeah the dragon was the only Loop roller coaster there but it was not worth coming off the ride and being in pain I have not rode some of the roller coasters before the dragon on that list but being an avid Adventureland passholder for many years I think that roller coaster should have been worse than some of the others below it but I have not rode those so just my opinion but there were days where our kids and I would ride the dragon four times in a row but those were the good days ironically enough my husband's company was one of them that literally help remove the dirt when they were removing the Dragon

I definitely prefer Flight of Fear to the outdoor versions. The darkness makes the end of the ride seem less like it’s crawling, which is my biggest beef with Joker’s Jinx (haven’t been on Poltergeist but I imagine it’s the same thing).
