@@theAstarrr Honestly it just isn't that fun to play on.There's absolutely no shortcuts,and it just feels so basic.Still better than how it was in mk 64 since I don't have to spend 6 minutes on one 1 track,but even then,mk 64's version had that broken skip that was kind of easy to pull of at the beginning.

I hope for a galaxy game with more open galaxies like beach bowl. New power ups for luma and uses for the under-utilised red star. Wind flower that make tornado and split melon that split out juice. The lumas one can be purple star that let you attract coin when spinning. More modern graphics and moves such as roll and spin jump. A storybook that explain the story of teen Rosalina. A new hub world called Rosalina space station and have different Starshroom parked on it. Galaxies are open, with 4 main, 2 secret and 2 comet stars. With combined themes like freezeflame galaxy

Neo Bowser is S tier in my book. That map has been, and will always be, my #1 favorite map in the mario kart series. Also, if you ever invite me to play MK8 with you, I may or may not be willing to play on your top 10 tracks. I agree with all of them, except for Ribbon Road.

Has anyone noticed how controversial baby park is like the whole mario kart community is split on how much they like it It's usually you either love baby park and think it's one of the best tracks or you think it's one of if not the worst track in mario kart history personally I'm more on the like it side because I really do but I don't think it's one of the best It's just fun

Glad you enjoyed it! My reasoning is basically the same as I said in the video. Waluigi Pinball has better theming but Ice Ice Outpost is more fun to race on. There are a ton of shortcuts and speed boosters to hit whereas Pinball is a lot more straightforward and ends up getting boring. Also Ice Ice Outpost has better music.

I'm excited to play every Mario Kart track in the same game (I currently have a long ongoing google doc analyzing a ton of kart racers) but damn am I not excited it is MK8. So many of the tracks when you mention them make me go "oh yeah I love that course!" Then I see the gameplay footage and all my excitement disappears.

@@SlightlyInDepthGaming Completed thus far: Lego Racers 1 Lego Racers 2 Nicktoons Racing (the game from 2000) Diddy Kong Racing Mario Kart 64 Mario Kart Double Dash Snowboard Kids Sonic Riders Sonic Riders Zero G + Regravitivized M&M Kart Racing And am currently playing through Cars 2 for the Wii as well as Snowboard Kids 2. I have played more games casually, I just haven't "completed them" again with a critical lens and reviewed them. Fun fact: never play M&M Kart Racing if you want to feel positive emotions. 2nd "Fun" fact: Lego Racer has a really racist depiction of Pacific Islanders meaning that it wasn't just a 1-off incident with Bionicles for Lego's mistreatment of Pacific Islanders. 3rd fun fact: A big reason Mario Kart is so much better than competitors is that they don't put pillars or walls in the middle of their track and when you do crash into a wall you have knockback. A lot of Kart Racers back in the day just had you stuck against a wall if you messed up. What Kart racers have you played And what did they do to you to make you dislike Baby Park even for Double Dash?

Damn I didn't even know there were that many kart racers out there. M&M Kart racing sounds terrible just on name alone. I've never really played any other kart racers other than mario kart and sega all stars racing. I like sega all stars with it's unique items for each characters I just don't think the track design is quite Mario Kart level. Baby Park is just not a fun track for me. I really value good racing and shortcuts and Baby Park promotes neither.

@@SlightlyInDepthGaming If you like shortcuts I would recommend Lego Racer, Sonic Riders, & Sonic Riders regravitized. Riders 1 has a really high skill floor but the three games are basically built around abusing shortcuts. A lot more Mushroom Bridge & Yoshi circuit (double dash) and a lot less Baby Park. And I can see why you would dislike Baby Park if you like shortcuts so much. I tend to like testing how well I can drift/control the kart so the tracks where it comes down to taking small advantages & shortcuts are both low risk & most available to those far behind are my favourite.
