The whole mask system was such genius on the dev's part. They can check so many boxes with such versatility. They make great quest rewards, they give you abilities that lead to new quests, they can be really fun to use, fun to look at, provide lore in various ways, and the transformation masks especially give Link his most varied arsenal of any Zelda game. I especially love how they gave you so many great ways to get around, like the bunny hood or goron rolling. It's weird how many of them have icons that don't match the model, but hey it's that good ol' N64 weirdness

The two half-moons at the top are their foreheads touching facing downwards, two points in the middle being their elbows passing with the inner points being the opposites hands. Something like that? Neat to see it, but I have to try really hard for it.

honestly the giant's mask whould be cooler if it had something to do with the 4 giants that help stop the moon, like if the mask was made to harness the power of them and was used by the original constructors of the stone tower

The Deku Mask has got to be my favorite mask in the entire game, out of all the masks, I think that it was given the most detail, which makes sense considering you have to wear it for the entirety of the first day. I love the design and the backstory of the mask, with the Deku Butlers son. I just wish that when you used the Elegy of Emptiness, the Deku mask had a use, maybe something like being able to grapple hook it when you place it down? I don't know. My least favorite mask has got to be the Mask of Scents. It is just such a random mask, and honestly adds nothing to the game then just taking up space. Which is sad considering how fun of a race it is against the Deku Butler, and how great his story is, I wish it was replaced with something else in the remake. Loved the video, can't wait for what you have planned for Halloween!

imagine if they brought the bunny hood back in TotK and you could upgrade it at fairy fountains same as other armor sets for like 10 endura carrots and 5 hightail lizards just something like that

I would have loved if that you got to wear the fierce dietys mask everywhere as a reward for beating the game... and even though there are glitches there are just a lot of things you cant quite do with the diety mask without getting softlocked. But all that being said, it is very very fun to use in boss fights, just destroying the bosses within a few strikes that I used to struggle on.

I think you misread the last part of my comment, its that even with glitches, a lot of things don't work, and you can get softlocked quite easily@@zytha2890

My fav mask are the Bunny Hop. But Goron is iconic yes. Just for the rolling move alone which surpasses Epona and makes our dear horse a bit redundant (well, you help us jump over the fences at least lmao)

I recommend doing the great fairy side quests lol You get a better spin attack a ton of extra magic and your health gets a passive buff where it's doubled (if you have 5 you actually have 10 etc) Final fairy gives you a pretty cool sword too 2 of those great fairy rewards makes the giants mask fine lol Also.... You can just put the fierce deity mask on over the zora mask while standing under some water Ps: do to this all you do is get in shallow water waist high as a zora then turn human and dive then immediately use the zora mask and spam dive button. As you're spamming the dive button press the button you have the zora mask on *only* when you hear the water splashing during its fastest. You should see dive disappear which is when you swim button in the direction of land (you can take your time once you get the dive button to disappear). This will cause zora link to roll which makes swim disappear You can then go into your inventory and equip fierce deity on top of the zora on your useable item action buttons (C stick or the equivalent) close the menu and just put on the mask and you're now fierce deity link lol This works in ever form of water that has a shoreline (has to be an incline not like the river in ikana canyon for example) After figuring out this glitch its pretty easy to replicate The hard part is spamming dive and pressing the zora mask during the fastest spam point of your button mashing.

we should note that giant's mask is WAY better in the 3ds version because of the way Link fights (his walkstyle changes as well). He litteraly grabs the last twinmold (because you need to kill the first one to get the mask) and throws it in a pilar, even suffocate it. Hardcore, but still one of the worst

You can do the sakon's hideout day one glitch and use fierce deity mask in any area. Oh and my fav 3 mask's are the Deku mask,The Captain's Hat,And last The Bunny Hood.

If I recall correctly the all night mask also allows link to skip the transitions between day and night (as a player) so that the flow of time for the game is non-Stop. I don’t remember if that includes the final 5 minutes cinematic

Giants mask: Yeah trash but randomizer mods that support it are fun Kamero mask: Dancing lore cool and glitch fun Sniffing mask: Funny but lacks lore Don jero mask: Cool lore and throwback to oot, but pain to aquire the whole frog crew normally. Randomizer mod runs are cool since all 5 places can be mixed up and it gains a bit more relevancy. Couples mask: Yeah nice for lore but man its a pita normally to aquire and pretty useless. Postmans hat: Like it but wished it had a few more events or a passive niche useful ability like couples mask but at least couples could be argued to be a flex. Maybe a few mailboxes out in all 4 other regions, so if you remember clock town you could get rewarded with money or drops you normally won't find close by? If that makes sense... 🤷‍♂️ All nights mask: Grandma stories are cool. And it looks cool. Wiah it had a little bit more use. Captian mask: Wish more bonechild dialog happened to flesh it out. Bird boi mask: Fun and glitches for future runs Mask of truth: Pretty cool mask. Niflce throwback and like thwt it's inspiration for hints for stones in randomizers Great fairy mask: Love how extra AF it is and helps with faires. Wish it got boosted if you rescued all 4 fountains. Keaton mask: Looks cool and how foxes spawn. Wish a few kore foxes could spawn a few more in randomizers. Caffe mask: Like the lore and questions with it. Immersion is great. Cow mask: Goofy and nice flex to show off the ranch Mummy mask: Like the lore about it. Wish they spawned in weird places for more mummy uses Blast mask: Man its so useful. So fun and useful in randomizers when its buffed. Fd mask 10/10 giga chad mask fun 100% reward. Wayy more useful and fun, in randomizer runs when you can use it outside of boss rooms. Zora mask: Looks cool Swimming is awesome but hate remake Swimming. Blade Boomerang arms are dope Stone mask: So derpy but cool to sneek past foes. Nice to see love for it in this vid! Troop leader mask: So so sad😢 Wish it had more uses. Great lore agreed. Deku mask: Kid deku is peek MM gameplay. Hate remake bounce and spin😔 Poor butler Bunny hood: Fun casual play, even better when its buffed even further and when it gains MM powers in OOT in mixed games. Garo masks: Wish it had more uses and a few hidden Garo outside the canyon existed tp become more opportunities to give hints 🤔 Goron mask: Rolling is damn fun. Mr who made this video, soon you will be able to goron roll in OOT hyrule feild. And Goron butt bump and high fall scream is epic. I eant the scream as an alarm soo badily...

Its all because i ranked them based on 3 categories. Everyone's opinion is different but i 'tried' to put sense to the list. i was surprised how my ranking turned out too! all i did was score them in each category first then add them up!

The all-night mask looks like a fnaf animatronic (Maybe thats why its called the all-night mask as a reference to five _nights_ at freddys?) Also how it works is it has little spider-like “legs” which LITERALLY HOLD THE EYELIDS OPEN BY FORCE Poor link, not only does everyone he know die no matter what he does, but he’s literally being put in a torture device which forcefully holds his eyes open(usually meaning getting an eye infection) so people can get *THE LORE*

@@brandobatel to me all transformation masks need to be 1-3 with goron, zora, and deku being 1-3. The bunny hood, great fairy mask, and stone mask. Your bottom masks were pretty spot on though. Btw just wanted to say I know it’s your opinion and I’m not hating at all, it was a great video
