In this video, we take a trip down memory lane and revisit my favorite game of all time. We're going to rank every boss in the N64 classic, Paper Mario! From the Koopa Bros, to Tubba Blubba, to Bowser himself, let's see who takes the top spot!

What I especially appreciate Paper Mario for is that Bowser isn't demoted to play second fiddle to another boss. Bowser is THE boss and having another boss demote him to either a penultimate boss or ally just diminishes him greatly.

Great ranking! I understand why you didn't rank the triple anti-guy fight, but that's my favorite fight in the game. Such an intense challenge and I love how it feels like an actual punishment for failing the quiz.

I would say my favorite fight is the Crystal King. I liked his design and his boss theme, and overall I just thought chapter 7 was the best because of the "murder" mystery at the beginning and the frozen theme. And once you get to the Crystal Palace, that eerie feeling from the music and puzzles and whatnot leading up to him just makes the fight seem more intense. Tubba Blubba would be a close second because the part where he chases you gives me anxiety every single time 😂 even though he is easy to outrun. And the heart, imo, is the first boss that can be slightly challenging. Gotta say, though...everyone talks about Huff N. Puff is difficult, and I never understood why. The only time I ever got a game over with him is by trying to do a low level playthrough. I honestly found Lava Piranha more difficult.

Really enjoyed the list Opal, always good to watch Paper Mario content. Though, if you do plan on doing more lists like this, would you extend some of them into Thousand Year Door? For example, I feel like if you did a partners ranking going over both the games partner lists would be interesting to see, especially to note the differences between how both games handle them.

There is another fight against a future party member in the Paper Mario series. You fight Bowser before he joins your party in Super.

Actually, there’s a simple explanation for why the Big Lantern Ghost is in Shy Guy’s Toy Box. Lantern Ghosts are a variant of Shy Guy.

I thought Fuzzipede's battle was actually quite memorable for a few reasons: • You're fighting someone who had hitherto been an unassuming NPC • The battle takes place in the belly of a whale • Fuzzipede's not really even all that bad of a guy, just cranky

That was a really nice top As a mostly dedicated to Paper Mario channel I quite agree with most of it and the reasons are really good too. Since you say this is your favorite game of all time, are you even in the Paper Mario Modding Server? (Formerly known as Star Rod) There are many and I mean Many mods to try, some just change a bit of gameplay, some have the same gameplay but a different story, new mechanics, there's a ton of stuff I believe someone like you would enjoy and there's a good amount of mods that you could play/stream/review for weeks and months even.

I beat anti guy when i first met him. I had the badge that gave a 30% miss chance when in danger, and the other with a general 10%. Dont remember the names. But yea. Game favored me HARD that fight. He missed like 4 times in a row 💀

For me, the Jr. Troopa fights would all be dead last at the bottom of the list. The first fight and the spiked flying form fight would be the top two of this bottom tier. He wasn't funny the first time, having him come back once or even twice could at least abstractly resemble a joke, and he undercuts/undermines a lot of things that would have legitimately been fun or atmospheric from there on out. Anyone who thinks he was consistently funny has bad taste in comedy.

I do legitimately like the one where he loses half his health swimming to Lavalava and back. I think if it had been constrained to the first one, probably one during chapter 1, the Lavalava one, and maybe add an optional one you could add in to Shy Guy's Toybox via the questions it would be better. But eh
