Bringing up the fantastic debut of Enzo and Cass just reminds me HOW INCREDIBLY OVER they were. And how far NXT seems to have fallen off from that era. Certainly no crowds hurts but they've gotta get back the magic somehow. Also, wanted to suggest a new series that imagines what could have been for acts that never lived up to their potential for whatever reason. Enzo and Cass could have been huge if not for Enzo's bad bump leading to a concussion and them both having loads of problems outside the ring. I often thing about what could have been with those two. And how the only one left from their NXT days is freaking Carmella.

My two biggest regrets as a wrestling fan. When I was a lil kid I kept watching Nitro after Schiavone's "butts in seats" announcement (even tho Mick Foley was my favorite wrestler) and ended up watching the Fingerpoke of Doom live instead. The only Raw I’ve ever been to gets a spot on the podium. Such a fun night, the Yes Movement at its rabid peak, a title change, a farewell from a legend etc The single clearest memory I have of the this-crowd-will-chant-anything vibe of the Raw after ‘Mania was going to the men’s room during one of the mid-card matches and all the lads in there shouting “Wash your hands! Wash your hands’ Wash your hands!” Crazy stuff. It was also the first night I noticed the “John Ce-na suuuuucks” chant And I still get a promotional email from the Smoothie King Centre (lol) every time Raw is going to be in NOLA, though it’d take me the most part of 24hrs to get there…

1998 is the best. There is no competition. It takes every up and coming star and makes them a legend in one night. It IS the Attitude Era in one brilliant show. And I think that WCW never recovered from X-Pac coming over and cutting that promo. Instantly he took a cool and edginess factor from the NWO and brought it to the WWF. The show sets the stage for the competition’s destruction. I could easily make the argument that the RAW after Wrestlemania in 1998 could be the most important show the WWF/e ever put on. 2013 can go screw.
