Animated prowl was the first prowl I ever saw, he was one of my favorite characters, a unique interpretation and true stand out in that show his death made a huge impact in the finale.if we ever get a animated rep for legacy I want it to be prowl

Prowl's death was more or less disturbing to me because when Brawn got shot, I was all "Oww... that looks like it hurt, but I'm sure he's alright." Then Prowl coughed up smoke and collapsed in a flaming wreck, and suddenly I understood that Ironhide and Ratchet were scrap metal.

So prowl in IDW is a very calculating and cold commander. He hides this demeanor and gives people answers he knows they want to achieve his goals. Prowl mostly manipulates things behind the scene to the ends that he sees as better for cybertron, even if the means are less than savory. For example, he uses a PTSD’ed Cup (who had been lost for a long time and killed a bunch of autobots trying to rescue him in his delirium) and implants him with something to control him so prowl can have more influence over the war that he wouldn’t have otherwise. He’s definitely done worse but I just can’t think of it.

Pretty sure Prowl served as the head for Devastator, who then destroyed a large city of some kind and had to be stopped. Prowl is also mentioned to have influenced the Optimus Maximus Combiner into killing Galvatron. The implications are that Prowl makes every Combiner worse than ever before.

Rid 2001 and energon,beast wars prowls are the most underrated designs in my opinion,rid 2001 prowl was unique and a great design but i do like his design with universe 2003 sunstreaker colors

Energon prowl was my fav as a kid, the red eyes, smoke stacks, wheel shoulders, Chinese (I think) lettering just looks dope as hell. I remember getting him in a 2 pack with Rodimus and since Megas-XLR was going on at the time and never had a figure I’d combine those 2 and pretend it was megas lol

The Anrgy Birds one has three heads, because these aren't just Transformers as generic birds, these are the Angry Birds characters cosplaying as Transformers. These three characters are brothers, and in the game the gimmick of this bird is that you shoot it and it splits into three.

15:22 Hi! Ex angry birds nerd here. The reason why prowl has three heads in the game is because the angry bird it’s based on is actually a group of triplets, since the blue bird can split into three different versions in the game. The three repaint reference is a good observation though.

Animated Prowl will always be the first version of the character I think of when I hear the name 'Prowl'. He's the one I grew up with and c'mon his design is just so cool, especially combined with his personality. Though as a motorcycle he does lack the cool door wings -and the massive fucking car tits- his other versions have which does take some points off.

I still say the Cybertronians that got swallowed and then melted in Unicron's "digestive tract" got it worse... but Prowl's death was the first telltale sign that yes, people were going to die in this film.

The Angry Birds Transformers design has three heads because its actually a triplet of birds (they even have names: Jim, Jake and Jay). Basically the three are brothers and they all joined to become one singular character.

I think I'm the only fan of Angry Birds Transformers that doesn't take personal your opinion, I mean, when you say "is just a pig" I can help it and I laugh because is true haha They are three because of the birds and isn't any referencie, since we have four bots played by the Blues (they are Jay, Jake and Jim) wich are Prowl, Bluestreak, Beachcomber and Smokescreen, and for Angry Birds fans it would be weird watching just one Blue instead of three hahaha

It's an interesting idea. Depending on the story I think it could work. Personally, I like the idea of Barricade and Prowl as two separate entities, with Prowl as the jerk with a heart of gold and Barricade as an inverse of that (a seemingly friendly, trustworthy authority figure that's secretly a corrupt & dirty monster). Basically representing the spectrum of law enforcement on Cybertron. Hell, maybe they were once partners. But that's just me.

Yeah, I mean, I think Barricade has picked up enough interesting traits across multiple continuities (namely the "evil cop bruiser" stuff) that I conceptually like the idea of him being his own character. He's also in a weird spot where he's super prolific (thanks mostly to the 2007 movie) but he doesn't QUITE have the codified personality that other characters like Ironhide or Bumblebee have, so he's a bit of a blank slate. And I think making him a former partner and dark foil to Prowl that Prowl eventually has to confront and defeat would be a really cool take on that character.

See, as much as I love Animated Prowl, I kinda have to agree with CyRaptor's take that he's a weird mash-up of influences. He's a cop, a runaway, a ninja, and a samurai. I like the idea of a Prowl that's a bit more focused (probably like a jaded cop or better yet: a jaded ex-cop) with a design to match, and maybe save the ninja & samurai theming for characters like Mirage & Drift. So yeah, the TFU design design has been a long-time favorite of mine. Really dig DarioCld's fanart as well, and I do like the mustache on CyRaptor's art. Will say I do think the black & gold color scheme on Ani Prowl is fantastic and I think I'd like to see more of that in future Prowl designs, as the black, white, & red does feel a little plain on it's own. But of course, IMHO.

While not very Prowl-like, beyond the overall colour palette. Based on the head design alone, I think the Transtech version would be a great Cybertronian Mode for Beast Wars Stinkbomb/Car Robots Gas Skunk.
