Another thing that elevates Wallnut Hills even further is that you're relatively close to the guy that's the leader and possible creator of the Plants who actively fight to defend the humans, Crazy Dave is very well known for just randomly approaching his neighbors and giving them the tools to defend themselves, even if you gotta pay for some upgrades

If Wall-Nut Hills were an irl locale (at least, this place and not just some street named that) then I’d be inclined to say there’s a 9/10 chance that Dave would probably be like that. Just my experience with people who live in houses like this though, it’s not universal I’m aware 😭

Chomp Town looks like the place I'll probably spend the rest of my life (if it even existed). Generally speaking, most of the GW1 maps look like maps that would actually be nice to live on.

3:13 Hm… I’ll live there. :3 All jokes aside, I mostly agree with the tierlist, though Crash Course & Jewel Junction should be in a tier or two lower imo. The latter was already mentioned by Dan on Discord, but Crash course is practically a wannabe warzone tbh. The mess on one half of the map is- VERY concerning. I highly doubt anyone would like to live next to an area that could escalate into a skirmish at any moment. Great Video per usual! Glad to know that mountain lion tierlist isn’t being topped for a good while. :3

I honestly didn’t even think about the stuff that’d be in the air and around the area in Crash Course, so really that judgement call was a mistake on my part. As for Jewel Junction, yeah now I know so rip 😭

One of my favorite if not the best thing I love about the Garden Warfare series, is how they take mundane every day locations, and turn it into something interesting and fun! Not only that but they take full advantage of having loads of urban combat more than any shooter I know so far. With them having barley any invisible walls or anything.

The parks in Suburban Flats, Wall-Nut Hills, Frontline Flats and Daisy Drive aren't that really safe. They all have high areas with little to no railing to prevent someone from falling that could be fatal. Of course it isn't as insane with what the wizards were thinking when they made Seeds of Time and Time Park but still, whoever made these parks (especially with the tree houses) needs a check up for letting by such a liability. Than there is also Giddy Park with the Looky Loo Tower and the other attractions, but we can't do anything about because the zombies are nearby and the hole park became a battlefield. Also shout out to Z-Tech for being like the worst company ever for it's zombie employees with no breaks allowed and a labor union that only serves to divide the workforce instead of bargaining in their favor.

Also looking at the environment in jewel junction, there’s a graveyard on the other side of the town along with main building according to the signs in the building is a zombie mining facility so you won’t have any luck living here as you would be the zombies lunch break And most turf gw1 maps would be good to live depending where, if you are in the area next to the graveyard you are most likely fucked Driftwood shores while it’s a good place to live zombies starting position is in a zomboss factory so if you live near that you are probably gonna die Suburban flats is the same as it is supposed to connect to zomboss estate(well in its beta and if you go out of bounds you could see remnants) along with a graveyard but the door is closed

It’s not easy to notice immediately or anything, but when you really look at a lot of the key points on both maps, things line up surprisingly well. Also, I believe the devs themselves have confirmed this in the past, though I don’t exactly have any evidence of that on-hand 😭

The reason Wall-Nut Hills gets so much flack in my opinion would be Energy Warp (and Outta Fight if it somehow got into BFN, which it kinda did), because that allows Scientist to literally cheese through EVERYTHING at the final objective. And in GW2, you can't play any of the new classes on this map. That includes Citron, Rose Kernel Corn, Torchwood, Super Brains, Deadbeard, Imp & Z-Mech, as well as Hovergoat-3000. So that experience feels more cramped as a result.. if that makes any sense.

I agree with just about everything except Zen Peak, which I think should be MUCH lower imo I believe in one of Dave-Bot 3000's quests he tells you to do special ops in zen peak, saying "Their base will be undefended!", implying that zen peak is one of their bases

one thing you would have to note when ranking team vanquish map, is that alot of them are actually right next to eachother if you imagine a giant map of suburbia, garden center and chomp town are actually connected, and are right by eachother on the map, and same goes for suburban flats ,tho, its right under zomboss estate, so i think i wouldnt want to live in suburban flats, also, you should totally try ranking the zombie maps, based off of if you would live there as a zombie.

This was something I was initially considering ranking several maps on. Especially for Suburban Flats, seeing Zomboss Estate not too far from it would definitely make it less safe from future harm, but honestly when we start getting into the finer details it gets really difficult to rank some maps 😭

I was considering mentioning that, but that got me thinking about other places and where they’re positioned, specifically with future events in mind. If Suburban Flats had points docked off because of its nearby neighborhood, then Garden Center would be waaaaay down too (Aqua Center). And then you’d have to look at some maps like Frontline Flats, which almost seems to be the pre-requisite to Zomburbia, and it just gets messy so fast. BFN has it the worst, but that’s a video topic for the future, I seriously want to give that game’s maps an ACTUAL map.
