Maybe this game could have been better if Le Paradox’s activities caught Sly’s attention and he wanted Interpol to put a stop to it but they were busy with other assignments, so he took matters to his own hands and reforms the Cooper Gang only until Le Paradox and his syndicate is in jail. And of course the game ends with Bentley and Penelope working out their relationship problems and Sly forms his own detective agency known as the Justice Raccoonus, with Carmelita, Murray, Bentley, Penelope and Dimitri as his members.

Sly Cooper and the Theivius Raccoonus: 6: Cold Heart of Hate (Full of way too many bad minigames) 5: Police HQ Break-In (A banger tutorial! Hooked me from the very beginning!) 4: Vicious Voodoo (I love the atmosphere, despite its problems) 3: Tide of Terror (A bunch of great levels! Great first impression!) 2: Fire In the Sky (I actually really love the Murray minigames) 1: Sunset Snake Eyes (Hotels, Casinos, Muggshot, Cars, oh my!) Sly 2: Band of Thieves: 9: Jailbreak! (Seems like a cool idea, but playing as Bentley is NOT FUN) 8: Predator Awakes (A bunch of the missions suck balls!) 7: Anatomy for Disaster (I like the theming and the stakes, but there are a lot of issues) 6: Shadow from the Past (I like the museum theme for a tutorial) 5: Tangled Web (Fulfills the potential of Jailbreak! The cool idea with actually good gameplay) 4: Starry Eyed Encounter (The dancing and the tuxedo stuff is bangin’) 3: Menace from the North, Eh (The Canada levels are, ironically, fire!) 2: Black Chateau (One word: Dimitri! I love Dimitri!) 1: He Who Tames the Iron Horse (Do I even need to say anything?) Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves: 7: Rumble Down Under (Giant Carmelita? Why?! Why?!) 6: Beginning of the End (Hooks the audience in the best way possible) 5: Honor Among Thieves (Has a great ending, but also has some issues) 4: A Cold Alliance (I’m sorry, I just love the theme and the villain) 3: Opera of Fear (Very similar to Sly 2, but that’s a great thing to copy! Banger!) 2: Dead Man Tell No Tales (Yk what, this game might be my favorite lol) 1: Flight of Fancy (Despite me loving Sly 2, this might be better than any level from that game) Sly 4: Thieves In Time: 7: Clan of the Cave Raccoon (I lost braincells playing this and listening to the dialogue) 6: Of Mice and Mechs (This is what ruined the franchise in Sly 4!) 5: Prologue (I almost turned off the game! Boring!) 4: 40 Thieves (Not bad, but not good either. Just very meh) 3: Epilogue (I love playing as the ancestors, except it’s too short) 2: Turning Japanese (Kept me from turning this game off) 1: Go West Young Raccoon (This is why I like Sly 4, despite being the worst)

He who tames the iron horse is 100% my favorite one. The train levels are dope, music is my fave, and prob my fave villain in Sly 2

I agree with a good 80% of this. I’m in the minority here but, vicious voodoo belongs in the shadow realm, & Black Knight/ Penelope level could easily slide in the disgraceful teir. Dead Men Tell No Tales is a little lower for me in the Pretty Good teir. Both Jean Bison levels are definitely in Just Dang Good teir. Fire in the Sky is the only Sly 1 level that could even sniff God Teir but I’d throw it in Just Dang Good. Your God Teir selections are precisely that, GOD TEIR! Awesome video, keep doing this kind of stuff, there’s definitely a market for it. Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank, & Jak & Daxter…. That Era is unmatched as far as video games go. Congrats on 1k, I subbed probably around the 700 mark maybe, been watching the level breakdowns and they’re so cool. I like the way you do things here. Good humor, good dialect, easy to understand, and from what I’ve heard, you definitely know what you’re talking about. Respect 🫡

Congratulations on 1k subs! You put so much enthusiasm into your commentary its a great watch every time. For me Sunset Snake eyes, Jean Bisons levels, and Cold Alliance tied with Honor amoung thieves are my favorites from each game. For the villans in all 5, the calming snowy atmosphere, and the amazing ending. Unfortunately the writing of sly 4 and the boring villians in my opinion drag their levels low.

While I do agree with your rankings of each episode, I do wish that both Cold Heart of Hate and Honor Among Thieves (episode 6) weren’t split into mini games. I want to explore both the Krackarov Volcano in Russia and Kaine Island as well as fighting what ever guards both levels could have had.

Sly 4 was the only game I fully completed, partly started on Sly 1 but I wasn’t able to finish. I honestly really liked thieves in time, though I don’t have the context of the previous games. A shame hearing how it doesn’t hold up, but all the more motivation to actually check out the full trilogy when I get my hands on a ps3 that actually works.

There is nothing quite as upsetting as the character assassinations in Sly 4. 3 games of wonderful writing, building great relationships getting to know the characters, all to be brutally shut down like a bad fanfic and left on a cliffhanger of all things! Honestly, I kinda wish the game didn't even exist and the trilogy left as it was :(

as a kid i liked sly 4, but as an adult i just wish they did more with le paradox and got rid of the whole penelope thing and it could’ve been a bit better. i think having an entire game based around seeing sly’s ancestors and NOT having clockwerk in some way as a villain was criminal. what if le paradox helped clockwerk kill the ancestors early, or what if you had to help clockwerk stop le paradox for a mission because he’s taking up clockwerk’s glory? so much missed potential

So nonchalantly skirting over the Le Paradox battle with "it's non offensive and he didn't do anything that Dr. M didn't do" is frankly, offensive. Le Paradox' boss battle is a horrendous example of what quality gameplay, quality character writing, and quality narrative storytelling look like. Dr M's is the polar opposite.

Kind of rude to not acknowledge Sly 3 Episode 4 has the best boss fight in the series with General Tsao. Also maybe I'm a Sly 1 sycophant but I feel like Episodes 2/4 deserve S or at least A tier - it's the only game where you can easily replay missions, and I'm always replaying those worlds.
