The Zabuza one was by far the best and most realistic one. Zabuza wasn't in the middle of some world dominating plan that he spend the last 20 years on. He was just a hired mercenary that didn't care about his client and cared a lot about his protege even though he tried to hide it. Naruto just made Zabuza confront the feelings he already had inside. Very different from Obito or Sasuke or Nagato that had dedicated years to their master plans and made complete 180s on their entire life philosophies.

I still consider Zabuza's talk no jutsu as the best one in the series, not only as a conversation with Zabuza, but beacuse the state in which Naruto was, he was in doubt about what it meant to be a ninja, at first his naiveness and idealism is getting shattered by the attittude of Zabuza, to the point of falling in the pit of depression, but the moment he saw Zabuza crying and admitting that he was still human and had emotions that no matter how hard he tried, he would never be able to destroy them, is what reaffirmed Naruto's ideology. Adding to it, is was an statement agaisnt the way the world of the Ninja was heading, yeah, the Mist Village was terrible, but, just like Zabuza Kakashi wasn't surprised nor moved by the world they witnessed, to the point of almost stopping Naruto in the middle of his speech, which, in case he stopped, Naruto could have just fallen to the desperation of the moment, destroying the Naruto thay we all loved and cared. One could argue that this moment affected also Kakashi, from being the recluse he was to a more open individual, seing that even a demon could have feelings for other people.

I think the Zabuza and Gaara talk no jutsu was really good. Mostly because it really wasn't talk no jutsu, since Zabuza and Gaara were already defeated at that point. And I think when it comes to the Nagato/Pain talk no jutsu, I think it works because the theme of the arc fit with talk no jutsu(breaking the circle of violence/war etc...). Meanwhile the Obito one felt a lot more cheap and badly executed. It would have been better if Obito stuck to his convictions till the end, was beaten and then realized his errors and proceeded to help out Naruto to to redeem himself as much as he could before dying.
@shinneneguns4815 Жыл бұрын
I like Obito's one, and it didn't feel cheap to me. A major theme about Obito is that he was "Madara" and he himself, albeit deep down, didn't actually believe in his actions, they were 'Madara's". Throughout the war he is testing Naruto and pushing him to the absolute limits, in effect trying to prove to himself that someone like his old self, Naruto, would end up walking the same path as him if pushed far enough therefore validating his actions. So obito sticking to his convictions would have been hard for him even then, because he didn't genuinely believe in them or was having second thoughts. Thats the way I read/watched the show anyways
@nikjovan4816 Жыл бұрын
@@shinneneguns4815 I understand. But the problem I had with that was that before Tobi/Fake Madara was revealed to be Obito he himself made it clear that he wouldn't bend his beliefs and that he wouldn't care about anyones opinions. Which would have made him different from a lot of Naruto villains and I wanted him to be commited to that. But then he did cave in. Also we saw something similar with Pain already. I wish it was a done a bit differently. I don't know. I guess the real Madara filled the role I wished for Obito with not caving in, which does make sense since Obito was the fake Madara. But Madara was screwed over in other ways. That's why it bothers me even more. Maybe in the manga it's different, because I only watched the anime and the many flashbacks bother me. In the end I think the Obito talk no jutsu wasn't that big of a problem in the big picture. There are plenty of other big and small problems I would change in Shippuden before the Obito talk no jutsu.

@@shinneneguns4815 the reason i find this hard to blieve is that obito killed CHILDREN for sport. He did hallfway of the uchiha massacre AND created the blood mist village with the children killing each other on the academy. Hes on of the few characters commiting genocide to "revive" his friend and he had FUN doing it, he laughed at every1 elses misery and agony. NAGATO DIDNT, nagato hated his own actions and thats why he could be redeemed, he did not wanna kill, he had a noble goal for the future. Obito was stuck on the past unable to care about anyones future, he was not reedemable.
@shinneneguns4815 Жыл бұрын
Yeahp you guys bring up some good points. I still believe Obito wanted his beliefs validated hence his pushing of Naruto to turn to his side but I do very much agree that he either shouldn't have being redeemed or just stuck to his convictions until the very end. We did need a villain that Naruto couldn't just talk out of their beliefs and obito was perfect - I think like that he would have made a perfect final villain (minus less of the rin stuff and Madara himself being unable to resist the Edo tensei release)

@@shinneneguns4815 yeah what these guys said, obito at that point was the strongest character in the series and he just got weaken by some pep talk which kinda anti climatic to be honest. He's already being nerfed with no kamui as a juubito and now he got weaken by talk no jutsu as well on top of that? It felt so badly executed when you think about it. Sure, he's got some issues but so does everyone else that naruto beaten before. like imagine if gaara with his shukkaku just somehow got weaken by peptalk, what's the point of summoning gamabunta for the epic fight or his 1000 shadow clones in that fight? the fight would be so anti climatic and boring. Naruto winning Kurama's trust will forever be my most favorite part of Naruto. When Naruto called him a comrade and citizen of the Hidden Leaf, man that punched my heart!
@rcbmmines4579 Жыл бұрын
Nagato's talk-no-jutsu is my favorite for sure. Nagato said it himself, everything was set up so perfectly like a real God really did set it all up in destiny. Nagato is the failed Chosen One, whose past self inspired Jiraiya to create the novel. That novel's main character inspired Minato so much, he named his child after him. That child became another student of Jiraiya's, and here he is doing the impossible. He defeated Pain and now instead of killing them, after everything (Nagato killing Jiraiya, and almost everyone in the Leaf Village, especially Kakashi and Hinata) he chooses to stand for what their shared master believed in. This kid standing up to him with an unwavering resolve he once had despite not having any answer, it appealed to that part of him that was exactly like that. Unlike Madara and Obito, Nagato believed he could bring peace to the world. The only thing that changed was how he would do it. He knew he was wrong, and now he trusts this Naruto guy, who's everything he should've been, to find that right one, so he lays down his life to atone for his own sins as much as he can. Naruto didn't win because of Sage Mode, Rasenshuriken or Kurama. I mean yeah, those things all helped for sure. They were needed. But the final blow, what really set Naruto apart, was what Jiraiya believed in from the beginning. A lot of people give crap to him for not teaching Naruto that much compared to the other Sannin, but if it wasn't for their time together, the bond they formed, Jiraiya's philosophy and dream, Naruto wouldn't have reached out to Nagato and all those people would still be dead. This, Gaara, Sasuke, Kurama and Zabuza in that order make up my top 5 for sure.

Naruto dialogue with Nagato is one the series highest peak but my problem is that it's such a 180 of character for Nagato. He goes from "I will build a bomb strong enough to install pain and terror in all humanity" to "I will kill myself for the Leaf Village" in half an episode

Most impactful for me is probably zabuza pain Gaara neji. Zabuza is where Naruto got on his path to be a ninja and still found the humanity within zabuza. Pain was a good subversion of fighting the end game boss was yahiko was just a body he used and while I didn't like the reset as much I feel it was appropriate to understand how they mirror each other. Gaara came after his fight and like pain he's just Naruto born in a different village who actively wanted him dead. Neji was good but with learning Naruto is a genius reincarnate it drops a bit for me as he was unlucky to be a 9 tails owner but has to work triple effort to just keep up to geniuses. Most impactful is probably Gaara pain Obito where they did have major affects for the ongoing story with what they contribute overall.

I like Zabuza the most, since it's not really change anything and cause of that it's most realistic. In case like Pain, Obito, Gaara, all of them were merceless murders, and after Talk no Jutsu, suddenly, they are good guys now. It's like if some German dictator become pacifst after hour of therapy. In case of Zabuza, he didn't change at all. He just show feelings for Haku, that he already has. Also, Neji Talk No Jutsu is underrated. Of course, he was right - Naruto is reincarnation of demigod, and he was destined to win. But we should look at this from different point. Neji was literally a child, cursed by his own family. It doesn't matter if he was right or wrong about destiny, he just needed proof that he's wrong. At the moment Naruto showed him that proof.

I think Naruto as a character (outside of the whole reincarnation of a demigod thing, really didn’t like that plot point slash aspect of the series at all) more embodies being a victim of circumstance rather than actually not talented. You can be born into a very prestigious family with all sorts of excellent genes and abilities, but without proper guidance (like both parents dying and leaving him orphaned and neglected by the village) Naruto wouldn’t amount to much and would therefore be more the scrappy underdog trying to overcome the fate others placed on him by branding him a monster for something he had no control over. It’s why he fights so hard for the people who validate he’s more than the existence he was cursed into and why he fights so hard to get those who also feel cursed by their existences and resigning themselves to their fate into breaking out of their cages.

Hm yea the Gaara one is pretty goated, especially since they are both Jinchuurikis. And the Kurama one was kinda cool too, mostly cuz I never really expected it to happen

I thought Neji was the most powerful only because Naruto challenge him. Telling Neji that it wasn’t Hinata’s fault for her being born to the head family and told him that he thought it was his destiny to defend the head house not to beat it to a bloody pulp. Naruto telling him that he was a hypocrite that after all that talk about how he can’t change his destiny that he didn’t really believe that. Naruto‘s victory about that how his shadow clone Justu was actually his worst Justsu and how Neji can change his destiny because unlike him he’s a genius. I thought that was impactful.

What i don’t like about talk no jutsu is it’s believability. I mean sure i can understand it on Neji, Gaara and others. But Nagato, Obito and Sasuke should have never changed their mind by just some speech. I cannot belive that an adult who spent at least a decade to achive their goal and put their everything into it and then some teenager comes in and says some optimist stuff about “trust me and the system” the same system that crippled all 3 of these people. Sure i get that Sasuke is not an adult but still. He knows that this system that existed till now caused harm to not only him but countless others and yet Naruto just gives him a hug and now he’s totally on board with the system? It’s not a problem if you change your views on something, but an adult (even a late teen) won’t change their own solid beliefs in just a few hours. Take Geto Suguru from Jujutsu Kaisen, he changed his views on humanity drastically but it happened troughout a year, not a few hours. Plus, again even if it was flawed all 3 of them had some alternative to the current system which again did horrible crimes against them, but all the sudden they’re ok with the status quo cause they trust Naruto even if the odds are against him realistically.

Naruto vs Neji is one of the most hypocritical talk no justu the series has ever offered. Nartuo -> chosen by Six Path , The Chosen one from Prophecy, Nine tail inheritor telling Neji that bloodline is not important lol.

Every single Talk no Jutsu was bad, not because it's wrong to solve problems via dialogue, but because Naruto never once provides any solution to the systemic problems of the shinobi world and merely gaslights others into submitting by projecting his own loneliness onto them, even when their situations are nothing alike. In fact, Naruto spends the entire series defending the system. If he was in One Piece, he'd side with the World Government.

What the fuck are you talking about

ur opinion, but Naruto's talk no jutsu lacks systemic solutions and he defends the shinobi system. In One Piece, he might side with the World Government.

@@Suto_Ko WTF does One Piece have to do with this, and does this mean any character siding with the world government is bad or something lmao?

That's literally not even what any of the Talk no Jutsu are about though. I can't remember a single one where Naruto solves it by going "ye bruh I was also lonely".

Honestly, Pain one was not only too forced, but it's seems Naruto forget about and it like it didn't exist anymore. Naruto promises for world peace for Nagato is more cool than Naruto Sasuke friendship shenanigans.

Because the war arc is garbage (except for some parts, such as Madara battles vs. the entire army, kages, and Gai), the talks with Obito and Sasuke are so bad and cheap. To be honest, Sasuke and Naruto should have killed each other, it would have been better. Obito did bad things his whole life, and suddenly he changed out of nowhere.
