Baka's fun because they have the opposite storyline of Ratu. While they both only attended the first tribal, Ratu had a really messy first tribal and then got kind of boring, whereas Baka had a pretty standard first tribal and then became super dysfunctional in a fun way. It's probably for the best they avoided tribal after that because it meant the bizarre Elie-Gabler beef lasted for as long as possible.

@@lerdog I agree but we have said that about so many people at this point that more than locks they're only in the mix. Last season with returnees they had (aside from WaW, obviously) was Edge of Extinction but they only brought back 4 people and they were mostly third time players and only from pre Game Changers seasons. There's been 9 seasons with newbies since Game Changers and only 3 winners had return. We need an all stars urgently (hopefully with better casting choices than Game Changers)

Well here are my rankingsss : 12) Ratu : I didn't feel like any of the players were memorable except Jaime and this tribe completely peaked in day 1 11) Coco : This tribe is kind of boring but had the Lindsey paranoia, and Karla and Cassidy saving this tribe 10) Vesi : Typically, I do not like tribes that are top heavy and while I love Noelle, Cody and Jesse, I wish the other 3 actually had more of a storyline 9) Luvu: An underedited tribe but I love Erika, and the attempt to throw the challenge and vote her out (even though she was never going to I think) and Naseer and Sydney are MWAH! 8) Baka : Yeah, it's clear how much I 'love' 43. This tribe is fine. Elie vs Gabler is fun, but this tribe is really carried by Kings Sami and Owen for me SLAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Kingssss 7) Yasa: AHHHHHH WHY COULDN'T YOU 4 STICK TOGETHER?!?! I LOVE EVVIE, TIFFANY AND XANDER SO MUCH AGGGHHH They are only down here, because I did not get enough of them T-T 6) Soka : MATT AND FRANNIE!!!!!!!!!!! QUEEN CLAIRE WHO NEVER DID A CHALLENGE! KING OF CHAOS DANNY. Oh yeah, Heidi and Josh exist too. 5) Vati : You were spot on! The Jenny boot is insane but all of them going out mid merge, does kind of really suck ngl 4) Ika : KING ZACH WAS SNUFFED WAY TOO EARLY. Tori vs Rocksroy is ICONIC, and Tori's villain turned hero underdog story is a chef's kiss and Zach mentioning survivor wiki and Maryanne x Zach is so so ICONIC. 3) Ua : Gotta love me some Ua. I love their destruction and downfall. Sarah had so much potential. Shan and Ricard's duo is iconic. 2) Ratu : MARYANNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I love her so much lol and we have Omar and Lindsay too! This tribe is top heavy since I am not a big Jonathan fan, or a Marya or Jackson fan but Maryanne. Need I say more? 1) Tika : The Tika three are my heart! Even pre mergers like Sarah and Helen are amazinggg and even Bruce makes a lasting impression in his...30 seconds of screentime. Talk about icons!

For me Tika still reigns supreme, Baka was super fun, even before first tribe(thanks to Gabler and his shot in the dark shenanigans) but Tika legit gave me Casaya of the modern era vibes until Josh boot and then they also created probably one of most lovable and engaging alliances of all times after that. Also now I lowkey wish you would do a vide like per each era even if its 20 years of work for even one video, damnit.

Think I would have had to give Ua number one in spite of its underrepresentation in the post merge. Shan and Ricard have _got_ to play together again--and again after that. They're capable of a three-season arc that's at least as compelling as Jerri and Colby, as Tony and Sarah, or even--dare I say it--as Amanda and James.

Watching this list makes me realize that the last few seasons, modern Survivor, have been pretty good. Once they ironed out some poor decisions from 41 and 42, the following two have been very entertaining and engaging.

@@Ryan_Tiziano Well I do agree with some of the casting issues, too many strategic super fans in a season makes for a bad cast. You need a few people in a cast who are emotional or don't fully understand the game to really balance out a cast. But if they continue to cast people like Carolyn and Yam Yam then I believe that Survivor is going in the right direction.

I started this video last night and finished it this morning. When it got to number 3 I was trying to remember which tribe besides Tika was even left. I tentatively figured it was Gabler’s tribe, but the fact that I could barely remember who else was on it besides Ellie tells me this tribe is definitely not my number 1. I had actually assumed that spot would go to Tika on this list as well because of how good the Tika 3 were, both in terms of strategy as well as entertainment. Even that brief period with Josh on the tribe was the height of his arc on the show!

Poor Luvu for being such a dominant tribe they got shafted really bad in the edit. I personally believe it was due to editors being so bad at editing 41. Theres been tribes in the past with the same success but better editing like Tandang and Koror. Seriously 3 of them made it to the final 4 and we bearly got much of them.

Ranking 45 and 46 Tribes: 6: Siga: We're the kumbaya tribe until the Jem boot. Outside of Jem's fake idol search, I didn't feel like Siga had a lot of drama during the game. The most we know from them is Maria's flip on Charlie at the end. 5: Nami: One of the most dysfunctional tribes of all time that never went to tribal. Venus vs Tevin still remains one of the biggest fights of all time, Everyone knows Liz for the Applebees moment, and Hunter was one of the best challenge performers in recent memory. Nami never stayed together, which I feel costed them a true alliance later in the game. Had potential but this tribe had no cohesion whatsoever. 4: Reba: The Reba 4 was an extremely strong alliance. Lacked the true entertaining moments as they didn't turn on each other until Final 6. J and Sifu we're always outcasted on this tribe. The Reba 4 might be the most loyal alliance of all time, I just wish we could have had more personal drama within the tribe as a whole 3: Lulu: Carried strongly by Kaleb and Emily. 2 quitters and one of the most incompetent physical players of all time we're on this tribe yet seeing Kaleb and Emily's relationship evolve was truly something to watch. 2: Belo: Similar to Baka is an all around extremely well-rounded tribe. Had the drama from Katurah and Bruce, to Jake and his constant effort to try and swing for the fences. All of the characters had their moments, just lack the fact they didn't go to tribal 1: Yanu: TV Gold, The Three of Q, Kenzie, and Tiffany are what everyone thinks the Tika 3 is IMO. Jelinsky's downfall was fun, and he will always be a legend. Jess was extremely outmatched, although the Fake idol was TV Gold. Bhanu took up too much screen time, but his crying showed how strong the Yanu 3 is IMO.

Ratu would have been carried so much higher if Matthew didn't injure himself. He was by far the lens into Ratu and goes out, off screen. His departure is shown as a last second save for Josh more than someone reaching there limit or even just focusing on the person being ejected. I know it was an odd exit for a player. Still in situations like Brandon being voted out at a challenge, or even Jenna leaving because of her mom being sick. They focus on the person exiting for better or worse. By far the most disappointing tribes after maybe one of the best first tribal counsels in the whole show. Maybe it was just because I was tired of wasted/unused idols but Brandon saving himself from the first tribal counsel then becoming tribe leader is such a power play. We barely get anything from it, but still honestly an impressive play.

Ok, wtf!? How is Baka at #1? Tika is the obvious choice for #1. Bruce was one of the nicest guys from the season, and everyone was sad to see him go so soon. Also Helen was the smart and likable young player, and Sarah was extremely likable and fun to watch while she was in the game. And don't even get me started on the Tika 3! The Tika 3 is arguably the best alliance in all of Survivor! Carolyn, Carson, and Yam Yam are all tv gold! #tika

I'm sorry... As an Australian, I can't help but burst out into uncontrollable laughter every time you mention tribes or players being "rootable", or their "rootability", or just "rooting" in general. To us, "root" is slang for sex and would never be used in any other context that isn't talking about plants. Often means I need to stop watching and rewind because I was laughing too hard to follow!

Also I would easily lower Ika and Vese to my bottom two just because I never cared for the Jesse/Cody alliance *the only thing to happen on Vese. Also Ika was a trainwreck like Ua but not as likable.
