I like matthew a lot more than gordy and gustafa. guess we all have our preferences. for me matthew is an A tier because he is actually rather sweet. he is shy and introverted but passionate and cares a lot for his family while also being insecure about not doing good enough for vesta. he may act like a brooding edgelord but he doesnt have any friends and finds it hard to get close to people. but if you get close to him then he is sweet. now MARLIN is a different story. cant defend that man.

I married Gordy in the game and he is a total sweetheart. I honestly really like his character and his character design. My kid in game is a child (currently on chapter 3) and he is the sweetest father ever. My favorite bachelor of all the possible marriage canidates (including female). Under him would probably Cecilia since I like her character a lot, but Gordy will always be #1 for me.

I went for Nami in the original and did it all over again in the remake. She's always been one of my favorite characters in the series. Also, about Dr. Baddoch, I grew to like him even more when I stumbled across the cutscene where he tells Mukumuku how he got that eye. I won't spoil the details, but I'll say he's a doctor that truly cares for his patients.

I will always think of Rock as the worst bachelor from the whole franchise and hey, I guess that is amazing in is own way 😅. The thing that make Rock the worst to me was not just that he was a lazy bum but that in a cutscene on the DS Cute version of the game he dared to scream at his Mom, his mom is such a sweetheart... I loved Nami in the original! I will say, I think she’s a little too cold for me in marriage. I totally agree about Gordy- great redesign but I would have personally made him bigger- make him look like a boy and more like a man. Stronger looking. Cut both DS romance candidates. Like I enjoy Cody, I married him out of the rest of the other bachelors. But like, I am still upset they cut Griffin’s bachelor status. They’re not going to remake DS or DS Cute more than likely so it just feels like we got done dirty since they put every other edition of awl in the remake except DS.

The more I think about it, the more I think of how Flora and Daryl being love interests alongside Gordy would've been amazing. From what I've seen Flora is a sweetheart and would be the "shy girl" bachelorette like Mary from Friends of Mineral town, plus she was a bachelorette before in the Harvest Moon DS game, so it would've been a nice little callback, and Daryl is... well Daryl. Who wouldn't want to get married to an eccentric but well-meaning scientist like Daryl? Having Gordy as a bachelor is fine, he's pretty ok in my opinion but having just one new romance interest is not enough, but hey the game is out and all we can do is just think of what could've been, I suppose. Muffy/Molly is my favorite bachelorette in the ENTIRE series. I love awol, but I really didn't want a remake because nostalgia glasses didn't stop me from remembering just how depressing and hopeless the vibe of it could be for a good chunk of it. Being able to marry Muffy again tho? It makes me so happy. Now that the mechanics aren't a menace like most old games are, I'm trying to make our daughter into a scholar, just like Muffy wants. When I got the game, I was so ready to marry Muffy/Molly or Cody/Gordy as I always was soft for them and especially wanted the latter to be a bachelor. Muffy has always been a character I felt a lot for (plus she’s beautiful) and her personality is more interesting than a lot of the others. For Cody, I always thought he was super cool and always tried to be his friend in the older games, so I was ready to marry him (his admittedly less attractive redesign notwithstanding.) I was so, so ready to go for one of them. And then Rock made me laugh. Alas.

Hi! Question… What console do you play/record this game on? I’m trying to decide if it’s worth getting it on the PS5 for crisper graphics, quicker loading screens, draw distance, and higher frame rate/better performance overall. I haven’t been able to find comparison videos of the game on different consoles.😩

Great question! I play on PC, but I've got a pretty old system (4790k with a 1080 GPU). I've found streaming/recording with my setup on medium settings is pretty good for 60 FPS, so a modern console like a PS5 would probably be MUCH better than my experience.

I feel like Luminas story and character is pretty tragic, kinda like Muffy. Lumina is my go-to candadite. Because she seems so lost and deals with a lot of heartache. Surprised shes so low on the list. Especially when I personally think Lumina has more depth than any other female candidate.

There are three mini-games present in the remake; cooking, grave cleaning, and territory capture. I think the grave cleaning is the same? I'm honestly not sure now lol
