I’m a big Lex fan but I have to agree. The spirits on blood that you see throughout the Easter egg, the spirits coming out of the shield, all the Easter eggs and references to the original crew. The magma gat, golden spork knife. The call back to Al Capone too. So many great details so I think it has a better aesthetic than mob.

Just wanted to point this out, most of the locations in bo1-bo3 were all unique, epic and interesting (pentagon, moon, shangrila, ancient medival castle, ww1 battlefield, alcatraz, stalingrad, old western town time travelled to egypt) while all the cold war locations are just random military facilities with very little substance

Low key, Die Rise is a really good looking map to me. I love the different rooms, how the sliquifier shoots colorful goop, and the sky box is my favorite of any map. The problem with Die Rise is that the map sucks so bad that I can’t even enjoy how nice it looks 😂😂

Very similar ideas but aesthetics by definition go more into the beauty and artfulness themselves, when atmosphere is more towards creating a certain environment. Maps like nacht or town are examples of atmosphere taking precedence to the aesthetics

Buried has an amazing asthetic. The vibes from the spooky witches house, the round change music, the spawn room machinery sounds, the beams of light shining through the caves above, the vultures aid perk jingle, the occasional trees and grass looking like a small oasis of life in the underground desert, and it does all of this with while still feeling like a western town. The cowboy zombies are awesome too. So so so many great aesthetics choices I could go on forever lol. My favorite map

Like with buried the court, the bar, or any building for that matter feel like the building they are meant to represent because it isn’t just a straight line through the building. With ancient evil, the whole map just feels like a bunch of paths with no real destination.

i feel like, MOTD, AC, COTD should be top 3 period. within that order. MOTD cause they took something from real like and made it with perfection. AC, cause the same reasons with SOE however the difference would be the history towards the map with the underworld and even how shaw talks about the place with the red herring and challenges like xi. then the boss fight with 3/4th the islands being styled from the time period, then cotd just idk how but from a very limited color map it feels amazing with the light house bring some light sadly not lighter when it shines somewhere which could be a reason why lex leaves out of s teir but
