Helpful video and as far as I can tell not existing anywhere else on KZbin at the moment - really looking forward to more discussions

Safe Passage and Prismatic Strands are also SUPER useful for blanking Pestilences and Crypt Rats and Fiery Cannonades. They're extremely versatile.

My favorite fog is ghostly-flickering a Sea Hag on someone else's combat step

Sea Hag is not only extremely effective, but also hilarious.

That's hilarious. There were a ton of fogs with extra steps that I had to exclude. I'll put this in that category

I think that Haze of Pollen and the other cycler should be rated a bit more highly. Being a combat fog when needed or a cycler when not is utility that some of the other effects dont have. Haze of Pollen looks like an exact copy of Defend the Hearth except it can cycle

My problem with the cyclers is that you pay for the card having cycling by paying more mana for the same effect, so casting it is worse than a standard D-tier Fog / Holy Day, which means the cycling has a lot to make up for. I don't rate cycling as being a very powerful effect but if your evaluation of it is better, it might deserve a slightly higher rating. Defend the Hearth only lets damage through to players so it's still possible to remove creatures in combat after you play it, which is card advantage to me. I think that puts a wide gap between the two.

I think tangle is better than rated. It can also be an opening to get more damage on a player that has a dominant board state. People sometimes can't afford to attack into someone if they will be dead on the crack back, but if they are tapped for a turn, everyone can pile on. Even if that main threat person isn't taken out, now they may be less focused on you.

That's true. Leaving them open is pretty appealing. I've just not felt that great about it. I think more players agree with you than me, though.

I guess it's not just a strictly worse tangle if you use it when one opponent is attacking another. Not that it really gets any points for that. I really want them to destroy each other! haha

@@lobbert8 The trick is casting it during combat after damage ;)

@@Alkadron I hadn't considered that. I'll change its grade from F to G haha
