Hey Gabe, i live very close to Golfworks/maltby and ive been in there a few times over the past couple months. In talking with some of the employees over there, we started discussing their lack of advertising and such, and i mentioned your channel and they said they have gotten a huge influx of business and many have mentioned your channel as a source of it. They said they didnt even know your channel existed, and didnt know who you were, but they were eternally greatful for the wonderful reviews of the ts1 and ts3s. Anyway, i just wanted you to know that they are genuinely thankful for what you have done and its caused quite an uptick in their sales. The crew over there are really great guys too, so you are doing a good thing for a deserving company.

I originally went in there to replace a 15 year old maltby wedge that had served me very well. While there hitting the wedges, I grabbed one of the ts1 Im demos just out of curiosity to see how they felt. I couldn't believe the feel and the performance showing on the gc quad. To double check what I was seeing and feeling, I did a search for some reviews and found Gabe's channel and that sealed the deal. I got a set a long with two of their wedges and got a chance to play 9 last night. They are fantastic regardless of price. The price simply make them mind blowing. Gabe, you may also want to check out the max milled wedges. Awesome clubs as well.

You forgot one that is pure class!!! Let's Play Thru!!! I think this past year you have been knocking it out of the park with reviews from the big OEM's to the small guys like Maltby. You are not going to find this on the other larger YT channels so that's why it's PURE CLASS. Is it possible to try a couple other DTC clubs that I've found, and there's some buzz online about them. Byrdie Golf, you can get a set(4-PW) forged irons for $400, or a full set for $500. And Haywood golf, which has been tested on other channels but I like your analysis the best.

I’ve never been a big fan of TaylorMade; I’ve always preferred Ping and Titleist. However, I did a driver fitting last month and was blown away by the Qi10 (I tried the standard and the max). I was able to produce the most swing speed with the standard model compared to the AI Smoke and Ping 10k, but the max model consistently had the straightest ball flight I’ve ever produced and finished third in distance behind the AI Smoke and standard Qi10 (only by four yds avg compared to the AI Smoke and seven to the standard). Sadly I didn’t get on with the Ping 10k. It felt heavier and was about 3mph slower on average than the Qi10 max. I’ve now used the Qi10 max for about 10-15 rounds so far and I’ve seen a large improvement on control and fairways hit. I’m now on the TaylorMade boat.

Side note: This is one of the first Golf channels I subscribed to because I want to learn more about the science behind clubs. I really appreciate what you do.

I understand most of these but my one note is about Sub 70. I went with Sub 70 over the other DTC brands because of their service and customization options. They may be a tad more expensive but you have much better options to demo the clubs and you have a huge range of options to get the clubs that work for you. They are built here in the US and they stand behind their products like no one else. I am very cost conscious but the service and customization are well worth a little extra compared to Takomo and the others. Plus Sub 70 has multiple options for every spot in your bag and not just 1 or 2 options. If you haven't looked at Sub 70 I strongly encourage you to do so, you won't be disappointed.

I found myself in the same exact predicament. I stewed over it for 2 months and finally pulled the trigger on the TS3's. While I love the looks of the TS4 & TS1 IM's substantially more, I trusted Gabe here and went with the TS3. Hopefully will arrive in the next few days! Another option worth your attention might be the TE+'s, I keep hearing great things about them as well. At the end of the day, the people chanting TS3's and the lower VCOG measurement is what won me over for my particular swing.

@@glossolalian I’m leaning more towards the TS1 IMs only because they’re more forgiving but part of me also wants to go for the TS4s because they’re more like a traditional blade and I kind of like the thinking of growing into them more. @@TriageReflex my completely unsolicited opinion 😜.. the TS4's aren't less forgiving than the IM's. If you look at how Maltby ranks the forgiveness of each club, these 2 are nearly identical. One brand that I sort of disagree with Gabe about, but sort of don't, is Ben Hogan. On one hand, the PTXPro/Icon combo set I got, I absolutely love. Fantastic feel. I probably am not quite the ball striker I should be to get the most out of. The forged steel they use is very soft, to the point that they'll get dinged up a bit just from rattling around in the bag. Their financial instability is definitely cause for concern, and they are priced a bit higher than other DTC clubs. I've definitely jumped on the Maltby bandwagon. Their latest lineup of forged irons look amazing.

D9 forged irons are the best I’ve ever had, got them for 40% off too.

New D9 forged as rare as hens teeth in the UK. None of the bigUK retailers currently have any in stock! 2nd hand seem expensive on ebay in relation to their list price.

Callaway should have been class. The technology in those clubs are awesome, best forgiveness. Srixon is class. Taylormade, would buy.

I looked into Maltby and after I built them to my specs they were as much as the new Wilsons or the Callaways

What components did you use? And did you build through the custom shop, or price everything out individually? Once you get outside of the basic club Paks and start looking at top shelf components, the price will definitely increase.

@@AZstu324 Built it custom to match what I build on Wilson and Callaway sites.

@@nbargolfgotcha. Yeah the higher end components will definitely make a difference. They do offer the cheaper Paks with some good shaft options but nothing with a super premium level option at a substantially lower price.. if you go through the custom shop you do pay a premium.
