Aventurine's Light Cone there isn't him being threatened, it's him _doing the threatening._ The lore in the Light Cone description has him partially loading the gun, putting it in (Dr Ratio?)'s hand, and pulling the trigger _3 freaking times_ saying how he always wins a gamble.
