I love the Baccart rouge 540 Extrait on my wife. She's not a perfume nut, but she loves this stuff. And it definitely elicits an "I need to be next to you NOW" vibe. For me, I'm a fan of Pluriel, but that's because I was born in 72 and adore 80s/early 90s fougeres. Thanks for your post, you're awesome!!

I've worn a dupe, Interplay by Alexandria, and been around someone who was wearing it (I gave her a bottle of it) and love it. All the descriptions I have heard of BR 540 apply to the dupe. I doubt I will ever pay $325 for 70ml of any fragrance.

MFK Baccarat rouge 540 if you wear this fragrance in the Cooler Weather it smells Amazing. Because at first I hated it. I thought I smelled like one of the Golden Girls. So I tried it again in the winter. I get so many compliments. Try it.

Try Amyris Homme, probably my second fave out of the 4 I have, well…it’s a toss up between it and Gentle Fluidity Silver as my favorite, it depends on the day. And BR 540 just turns into the SWEETEST, like sickly sweet cotton candy smell. I tried to love it so many times, had to get Allsaints Sunset Riot and Tiziana Terenzi Spirito Fiorentino to get the same vibe, but a darker and woodier, less feminine vibe. Much like you, I’m a chick who prefers more masculine to feminine scents.

This is my fave from MFK. This smells like a French vacation on Riviera. For me, Silver is far far worse. But Gold is very feminine for me, so I would probably pass on this one as well. I've ordered a sample set from MFK and just trying this house out. But to be honest, I am not blown away like I am with for example Creed. I immediately ordered Aventus Cologne and GIT. Those parfums are sick as ....

I agree on Amyris. There is something old fashioned about it. I don’t like it. I love gentle fluidity silver, 724 and BCR540. Hated gentle fluidity gold. My next purchase is probably going to be a la rose or Oud satin mood.

It's more unisex than either of the br540s and Oud Satin Mood but it's not too masculine. I wear it and I think it smells like ginger bread and cinnamon. A man could wear it though. It's just on the borderline of male and female for me. Stunning.

I've tried so hard to like grand soir and its aight ' but kinda just amber and that's IT' like with my collection I try mixing up wearing some great niche fragrances for the formal events and grand soir is almost flat to me don't get me wrong everyone's different I understand and that's more than cool but I've been sitting on a 6.8ml of that when it first dropped and spent some $$ on it but could have gotten 2 nice niche for what I paid for grand soir 😏👍great review as usual 👍

I have a vial of Amyris Homme in my decant rack, and I'd say something similar about it as you said about Amyris Femme. It is well made with great performance, but it just kinda smells generic. My fiancée says it "smells like just some dude."
