Also, as someone who has pretty oily eyelids that are also hooded, I often deal with creasing. What happens with the Beauty Bay shimmers for you sounds exactly why I had to declutter all my Looxi shadows. They just had so much synthetic wax in them that no matter what routine I did, they would crease. HOWEVER, I will say that I've found a routine that makes the Beauty Bay formula work for me, and they've also never been as bad as Looxi. This also works for a lot of those chunkier, sparkly formulas that tend to have kind of a creamy base like in some of the newer BPerfect palettes. I personally find that the primers that have more coverage don't work as well because they tend to have more emollient ingredients, which leads to creasing with putty formulas because it's like putting an oil over an oil. So I use a more transparent, siliconey/powder eye primer like the Milani eyeshadow primer. Then I set with a generous amount of powder or a matte eyeshadow. Then, DO NOT use glitter primer. I find that with some formulas, it can actually make eyeshadow crease more easily. Applying wet is okay, but make sure not to use too much water/spray. I know it's super annoying to have to do a special routine with a specific eyeshadow formula but I hope this helps!

Angie, for next month, why don’t you do a COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT and show us what you brought to America. 😊 “I couldn’t go without this for 72hrs” could be fun; so would “the only way I survived my international plane flight was with…” Also, if you’re like me, you’ll want to freshen up before you deal with customs/immigration. I find Tatcha is the best, because you can bring the rice polish foaming enzyme cleaner on the plane-and it’s a powder, so doesn’t count against your TSA liquids limit. Face masks are also a godsend, obvs.

I like the Beauty Bay too but the shimmers crease on me by the end of the day. Definitely not as long as a wear as other putty’s and shimmers. I have the Opulence and the Wilderness. I don’t regret getting them but definitely not a from Day to Evening formula.

I REALLY appreciate that you give Clinique a nod for the blush because I used to work for them and I don't think the good products get the love they deserve. I've actually put the really sticky and thin eyeshadow primers to good use and it has totally changed my game. I have very hooded eyes and VERY oily eyelids. which means that any slippery, hydrating or oily base (such as a concealer) doesn't work on my lid and shadow starts to pile up within the 1-hour mark. so what I do to avoid this is I basically take a heavy concealer (which has a more slippery consistency and helps with soft, seamless blending of the transition shades) and run it all across my crease. and then I take the really sticky eyeshadow primer and run it all over my lid. this reaaally keeps the shadows i put on my lid in place for a much longer time and gives them a much bigger "punch" as Angie says 🤭💚 and I don't have to use a glitter primer which to me is really heavy and sometimes difficult to remove. hope this helps someone! 💚

I use the beauty bay palette with the essence matte waterproof eyeprimer. You might not like the general look or feel of this primer, but I can tell you: no creasing for more then 10 hours. Edit: its Catrice not Essence, sorry for that.

I like it because it is extremly longlasting and cheap. I think for the price one can take the gamble and just try it.

I would second sleepwalker from black moon and add cricket from menagerie cosmetics. Juvias place's black is more of a brown black, nyx had a black called alien that is more of a light black/dark gray, and kaleidos has a blue black lip clay. If you want a true black I would go with one of the first two, if you want to dip your toes in with a slightly less intimidating "starter black" kind of shade the later three would be good choices. Also the Sephora collection has a black bullet lipstick that I think people say is good but you might want to look at reviews first.

Blackmoon Cosmetics and Nabla Cosmetics make a great matte black liquid lipstick. Although I would probably recommend Blackmoon Cosmetics more because they also sell tons of metallic liquid lipsticks that are so fun to top over the black liquid lipstick. It’s tempting to buy a lot! Hahaha!

Hey I recently tried the juvias place eyeshadow primer and I like it so far. Theres a set at Ulta the I live I love eye kit on sale for $12.50 it has a palette and primer but in the shade 2. If that shade works for you then it's a good deal cuz the primer alone is $12.

My fenty flyliner dried out so fast to! As much as I liked it thought, this is ridiculous.. I kept lid on tightly and stored in cool dark place... Nope not for me unless they change formulation

I hadn't been wearing liquid eyeliner much, but I'm getting back into it, now. But I've realised that I don't have a liquid liner I really like, anymore. If anyone has suggestions, please, please share! I've tried NYX Epic Ink, but it was soooo wet. I had a really hard time with it. I preferred the NYX Matte Liner more, but I don't know if it still exists. It was a dip liner type, so the wetness could be controlled more easily. I don't fully love KVD's, either. It's alright.

I was tempted about those beauty bay palettes, but thanks to you I did not. I have veeeeery oily eyelids, I'm pretty sure my eyes produce enough oil to fry an egg. The shimmers would last 5 minutes on me 😂.

I have super oily eyelids for reference I live in Florida I work outside and I don't know if it'd because my eyes are crazy hooded or what but I find their shimmers very flattering on me. They don't crease much and they don't show texture on my eyes the way colourpop shimmers do. Beauty Bay has my favorite shimmer formula at the moment besides old Juvias place and my super shocks lol. For my eyes I use Glitter Glue or Juvias place primers. I'd say maybe try one palette in the future just to give it a chance and see how you feel. Like I'm SHOOK those shimmers stay put lol on my 12 hour days. My entire face will look like a massive grease ball but my eyes immaculate

I sadly have to disagree with you and sry for the long reply incoming but I recently saw a video on the channel 'more perfect union' where hello fresh workers exposed that they have really bad working conditions in their factories, getting timed on bathroom breaks or working in pain, not getting paid medical bills for work accidents.. I don't wanna judge anyone for who they get sponsored by or who they purchase from but maybe it's worth considering those workers and their treatment :(

Canceled my Boxycharm, too. 🤔 Only really subbed to Scentbird (and Humble Bundle monthly, but that's different 😋), now. I absolutely love the milk eye primer. It sets my foundation / concealer and makes the skin look more smooth. I do have very dark circles and I need to layer colour corrector and then concealer and I do that over my sunscreen. So maybe that is why it works for me. My eyeshadows go on fine over it. Btw Its OK to disagree. I respect ur opinion.

The colours of the Glamlite Happy hour lipset look nice, but for me the wine bottle design is just bit too much. I don't mind alcohol themed makeup or stuff in general when done with good taste, but something in the component design of the lip products makes me cringe a little. 🤨

I also watch your blog videos which is why I’m confused about a statement you made in regards to the ND Bronze palette…”… it’s a neutral palette which I don’t reach for that as much as I reach for other things…” meaning colorful palettes as that what you’re known for.
