One of the things I love from Romania Black (another anime reactor) is that she has a moderator who scans all the comments in her videos and hide/delete all the comments that spoil things/ hint things/ set expectations ... and thanks to that she can safely read the comments without fear of being spoiled. This gals need something like that tbh

The comment had a legitimate point. This episode is full of anti Korean racism, denial of the atrocities Japan committed on Korea, and whitewashing the Japanese colonization of Korea, saying that "nothing bad happened, it was actually the colonized people who didn't appreciate all the wonderful things we did for them and blamed all the atrocities on us"

@@scrub9986 Im aware metaphors exist, but, is there anything that proof that the whole Kingdom of douchebags is supposed to represent Korea or something like that?

@@kionashi Japan has a long history of denying their atrocities they committed abroad, and in particular in Korea. I doubt its only a coincidence that in the middle of this show about loving and forgiving people, and being nice, we suddenly get an episode about an ethnic group (that is presented as an evil ethnic group) who's history maps on very well with Korea and Japan. The lines of "the colonization was good for them, they are ungrateful and selfish", paired with the "the people being colonized were actually the ones doing the atrocities and just blamed it on the occupiers", and the "these people were ruled by a foreign power for so long" (China) all being present simultaneously and all mapping on so well to the thoughts of Japanese right-wingers and nationalists seems like it can't just be a coincidence.

@@scrub9986 All of this is your mere assumption and accusation. What you are saying is not true to begin with. Annexation is not the same as colonize. Japan did not colonize Korea. Stop stating lies. And this is not the place to showcase your excessive claims.

Absolutely agree, the discussion ends up being predictions based on the ominous comment rather from their own experience watching the episode.

The comment is referring to the anti-Korean racism, the apologia for Japanese colonization, and the denying of atrocities committed by Japan on the Koreans that is present within this episode.
