I love that scene where they both make a straight face and then cry again. Reminds me of the one and only time i ever cried with my best friend, and it happened pretty much exactly like that. It was over a much sadder reason, but we went from crying like kids to laughing at each others attempts to stop. Us guys are basic animals lol

The ending is really not that great. Unfortunately, things went downhill with episode 17 and with episode 20 it hit rock bottom. I think that if the ending had simply been better realized and a few scenes had played out differently, Ranking of Kings would probably have been one of the best anime. As it is, it deserves to be higher mediocrity. The additional content, which was cut out and adapted with The Treasure Chest of Courage, is quite good in parts. I still think they should watch TCC 8 / episode 8.5 after episode 8 and episode 17.5 after episode 17. It would give them more of the good stuff that was in Ranking of Kings before it got wacky.

​@@Robert_H.100% agree, if they see it in that order I'm sure they will enjoy it more and at the end of the day that's the point. the ending doesn't ruin the show for me since at the end of the day the main characters have a good ending and I think Milena would like that but my problem with the second half is the slow pace of the show, I feel like it's more beangable, By the way, I would like to hear your opinion, I think the girls (at least Milena) would appreciate shows that are a little more for adults (castlevania, cowboy bebop or fireren) but I also want them to watch spyxfamily or haikyuu after this show.

@@JesusSanchez-xv7ex Haikyuu will probably win the next poll for the Long Anime Slot, but for the Short Anime Slot I'm really not sure, what would be the best next show. Frieren would be really nice, but I'm starting to worry that we won't get many new shows soon if we choose more still ongoing shows because of the ones we've already started. This year, with Invincible Season 2, The Bear Season 3, Gen V, The Boys Season 4 and Arcane Season 2, we're going to be using up the short TV show slot quite a bit, unless we watch a few continuing shows after Black Sails or the show after that to get some workload away. In the Anime Slot we still have Vinland Saga and later Haikyuu. I would therefore prefer more self-contained shows so that we don't sit too much on current shows. She will. Most characters in this are good and likeable. The ending was great. It's good to forgive and let live. That's not something we see in a lot of animes and it gels with the theme of this anime where nobody is actually truly bad.

yeah...the problem with Bojji is that, since he is a giant, his proportions make him look like a baby, so is easy to think of him as a 5-6 year old kid and as we all know, Lola and Milena are overprotective with small boys.

Logic behind Daida's order to kill his brother is pretty simple and reasonable and it was even stated before, to prevent potential civil war. Things like this happened throughout history countless times so it just made sense to me from Daida's point of view. It's just pragmatic move. One person instead of thousands potentially killed in a civil war. Even if Daida himself doesn't have anything against Boji he had to think as a king what's best for his country. I'm not saying it was the right decision of course, just it's not that black and white and there was logic and reasoning behind that decision.

​​​​@@bulat8362 They could have, but it was clear that pretty much everyone with power to do so was not moving to do so, which makes the logic also fall apart. Not to mention that if someone did want to do it in Bojji's name, they would still try regardless and killing Bojji could easily turn him into a martyr, making it easier to turn people against the kingdom. When everything is taken into account any logic easily becomes flawed, making it nothing more than excuses (especially in light that Daida could have just talked to Bojji about it) that everyone is free to come to their own opinions on. I can understand that maybe as a flawed child Daida didn't think that far, and I don't hold it harshly against him, but it'd be dishonest to say you shouldn't think things further through even if you feel someone's death would be for the better; otherwise even if you yourself fool yourself into thinking it's for others and not JUST yourself, that's still just a false presumption.

Even going for the oldest he probably is; 12, he's still basically a child even if you'd prefer to use the classification of tween. More to the point, whether someone is considered a child or not is an imaginary line in the sand with a few lenient parameters and doesn't always refer specifically to age. From his mannerisms, lack of knowledge of the world, naive nature, and more, Bojji is a child/child like (if splitting hairs over words is your thing). Heck, there's grownups that I'd refer to as grown up children in both negative and positive lights respectively. There's nothing rude about it unless that's the intent or if the individual makes it clear they just would prefer you keep that opinion to yourself.
