It surprises me that there are people who don't like the art style. The first time I look up this anime was because the art style, looks like a ghibli animation or old anime like Shinchan or Doraemon

@@garys261 ghibli is the best comparison. It would be Shinchan or Doraemon if the animation was turned up to 100. The action animation is fantastic here.

@@Triattt It's also very reminiscent of fairy tale books, I'm sure this was intentional since a lot of the characters seem to play with the character assumptions that come with those stories.

The only reason I didn't watched this anime was because I thought the MC is lame. Now I regret thinking that and I will never forgive myself for thinking like that. I am soo 😢😭

@@yamikagevg7841 I'm pretty sure the art style was intentional since it seems like the show likes to play with what people expect from typical children's fairy tales. Also, never assume that, just because something has a childish art style, it's actually gonna be childish. Another example of this is the anime Made in Abyss, art style would make you think that it's some cute moe blob adventure but it's straight-up eldrich horror.

Dumb is another way of saying mute, so when they call bojji dumb they don’t mean stupid they mean mute. Have you ever heard the term "deaf and dumb"?

I'm sure it's been said a hundred times already, but just in case... Dumb can also mean unable to speak, and not stupid. I remember learning that from Stephen Kings The Stand, where one character was 'Deaf and Dumb'

This is based in medieval times and back then children were put to work young and married young. Families often would have more children to accomplish more labour in a day in order to live more efficiently. Also its well known that a strict hierarchy was held back then and being under par was seen to be useless in your role back then.

Hei It's so well written and the characters are so real that you will never know were the show will go. Its very psychological and giving you a big vibs of Game of Thrones. And Bojji is 14 and Daida is 12

I mean, people used to me mega ableist back in medieval times (well, the broad amount of time we deem "medieval" and also probably doesn't apply to all cultures, all the caveats you can imagine), it usually comes with the setting unless the author wants to spice it up a bit from your regular medieval hard classic fantasy
