*_Oh boy,_* do I have a juicy piece of canon Palpatine lore for you guys! You say that you don't think Darth Sidious could defeat the Zillo Beast or the Summa-verminoth (the galaxy's greatest predator species from Solo), but there is material that proves that he *_EASILY_* can. In *Issue #11* of the canon *Darth Vader (2020)* comic series, Darth Vader actually rode atop a subspecies of the Summa-verminoth to the surface of Exegol itself in an attempt to attack and kill his Master, as Palpatine had in previous issues Force-choked Vader, ripped his limbs off and brought him back to Mustafar to burn him again in the exact same place as his defeat by Obi-Wan (Palpatine then led Vader to Exegol, showed him what he was doing there, and dared Vader to challenge his power now). Palpatine just looked up at Vader atop this gigantic apex predator in the sky... and just laughed, stating that there is no threat that the Emperor hasn't prepared for. When Vader tried to have the beast attack Palpatine, the Emperor simply waved his hand, instantly took control of the summa-verminoth's mind and body from Vader, and forced the beast to crush itself to an explosive death with its own tentacles. Vader was thrown to the ground before his master and Palpatine just looks at him unimpressed, saying this exact quote: *_"You were saying?"_* So as this canon comic proves, Palpatine is well aware of the legendary summa-verminoth species, and is capable of easily killing or enslaving all of them with no effort whatsoever. Even the galaxy's most dangerous and powerful predators are nothing compared to the power of Emperor Palpatine. Given that Darth Sidious could do this, it is clear that the Zillo Beast - a significantly less powerful creature than the summa-verminioth - would've stood no chance against him either. Palpatine could have easily killed the Zillo Beast if he wanted to, but he didn't in order to keep his identity as Darth Sidious a secret. Palpatine's life was never in danger, he just didn't want the Jedi to find out the truth behind the Zillo Beast's motivations: destroying Palpatine because it could sense the overwhelming darkness springing from him. Palpatine never feared the Beast itself, he was more concerned about it potentially exposing his Sith identity to the Jedi. For him, it's like this every day; constantly surrounded by his enemies without them even knowing it, he'll think: *_"I could kill every Jedi in this room if I wanted to, but I can't yet!"_*

Anyone can say what they want about the Prequels but ROTS is the reason why Palpatine is such a great villain to me, one of the best in all of fiction imo.

My faves: * Palpatine’s final temptation to Ezra * Palpatine breaking into the World Between Worlds * Sidious vs Maul and Savage * Palpatine’s speech in The Bad Batch This isn’t really a Palpatine moment per say, but it kinda is. But seeing the entire galaxy arrive in force to stop him in the climax of TROS. They heard he was coming back, and they all said no way Jose to it. Previously Palpatine used the people and public support to engineer his ascent to dictatorship - this time, they were having none of it. And it was enhanced by Nemik’s manifesto about how tyrannies will never win because their rule is unnatural and they know it. It’s all the more satisfying that the galaxy stood together and voted his ass out. It’s the perfect representation of the unnatural rule of the Sith and how Palpatine would ultimately never win forever.

The Palpatine moment there is that the entire galaxy arrived in force to stop him... and Palpatine just laughed at them and easily took all of them out at once with the greatest display of Force Lightning ever, and would have killed them all on his own if Rey and every Jedi who ever lived didn't combine their powers to stop him. Even the full force of the entire galaxy combined was nothing compared to the unrivalled dark side powers of Darth Sidious. Palpatine just laughs in the face of the galaxy who foolishly defied him and he just slaps them out of the sky like they were nothing; he definitely stood a very good chance of ultimately winning forever.

My Favourite Star Wars character! (Between him and Yoda) It’s so hard to pick a favourite moment, the Bubble Opera, “It’s Treason, Then”, Windu Fight, him in the world between worlds. But i think my favourite is the fight with Maul and Savage in “The Lawless”

Two of mine are first, the Hostage Crisis in season 1 of Clone Wars because it's the one time where he had no power over the situation. It was completely outside of his control. He's locked in his office with another senator so even if he wanted to, he couldn't use the force to get out and do something, the communications are cut so he can't call for assistance, and Cad Bane is not doing this per his orders so he has to just bend to Bane's will and do what he says. And the second is his senate scene in Bad Batch just because it's such a great show of his power of manipulation and his words. The heroes went through so much trouble for two episodes to set this right and within just five minutes, Palpatine is able to acknowledge the conspiracy that was uncovered, twist it to avoid fault, and use it to still get the vote passed that he wanted

What movie(s) are you most excited for? 1. Dave Filoni's live-action series wrap-up movie 2. The Dawn of the Jedi movie 3. The New Jedi Order movie 4. The Ryan Johnson trilogy - The last two fall in my "Do we need it, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it" as much as Solo: A Star Wars Story. 5. The Taika Waititi movie 6. The Lando movie

The future of *Star Wars* films is uncertain, but there are several projects in development. A *New Jedi Order* movie is in the works, as is a *Dawn of the Jedi* movie. Dave Filoni is also working on a live-action series wrap-up movie. There is also a Taika Waititi movie, a *Lando* movie, and a Ryan Johnson trilogy in the works. *The New Jedi Order* movie will focus on the rebuilding of the Jedi Order after the events of *Return of the Jedi. The Dawn of the Jedi* movie will be a prequel to the *Star Wars* saga, set thousands of years before the events of the films. Dave Filoni's live-action series wrap-up movie will be a conclusion to the stories told in the *Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels* animated series through the *"Mandoverse."* The Taika Waititi movie is rumored to be a comedy set in the *Star Wars* universe. The *Lando* movie will focus on the character of Lando Calrissian, played by Donald Glover in *Solo: A Star Wars Story.* The Ryan Johnson trilogy will be a new trilogy of films set in the *Star Wars* universe, written and directed by Rian Johnson. The release dates for these movies have not yet been announced, but it is exciting to see what the future holds for *Star Wars.* The *Star Wars* franchise is one of the most popular and successful in history, and fans are eager to see what new stories and characters will be introduced in the years to come. *The New Jedi Order* movie directed by Charmaine Obaid Chinoy has the potential to be a major event for the Star Wars franchise. It will be the first time that the Jedi Order has been seen on screen since the events of *Return of the Jedi,* and it will be interesting to see how the Order has been rebuilt in the years since then. *The Dawn of the Jedi* movie is also a very exciting prospect. It will be a chance to see the *Star Wars* universe at a time when it was very different from the one we know. *The Dawn of the Jedi* era was a time of great conflict, and it will be interesting to see how the Jedi Order was founded and how it rose to power. Dave Filoni's live-action series wrap-up movie is also a very anticipated project. Filoni is a very talented storyteller, and he has a deep understanding of the *Star Wars* universe. His live-action series, *Star Wars: The Clone Wars* and *Star Wars Rebels,* have been very well-received by fans, and it will be interesting to see what he does with a live-action movie. The Taika Waititi movie is another project that has the potential to be very successful. Waititi is a very talented filmmaker with a unique sense of humor. His movies, such as *Thor: Ragnarok* and *Jojo Rabbit,* have been very well-received by critics and audiences alike. It will be interesting to see how he brings his unique style to the *Star Wars* universe. The *Lando* movie is another project that fans are very excited about. Donald Glover was very well-received as Lando Calrissian in *Solo: A Star Wars Story,* and fans are eager to see more of him in the role. The *Lando* movie has the potential to be a lot of fun, and it will be interesting to see what adventures Lando gets up to. The Ryan Johnson trilogy is also a very exciting prospect. Johnson is a very talented filmmaker with a unique vision for the *Star Wars* universe. His movie, *Star Wars: The Last Jedi,* was very divisive among fans, but it was also a very successful movie. It will be interesting to see what Johnson does with a trilogy of *Star Wars* movies. The future of *Star Wars* films is uncertain, but there are several exciting projects in development. It will be interesting to see what these movies bring to the *Star Wars* universe, and fans are eager to find out. I anticipate we'll eventually get most of them, but some of these are NOT in active development. The *Rogue Squadron* movie's script has been funded, but that doesn't mean it will remain the same concept. If Lucasfilm hasn't said they are dead or delayed, we can hope but don't hold your breath. They do NOT “cancel” films that are “in development” unless they make the announcements - like with Patty Jenkins’ film. That’s literally *_the only one that we can affirmatively say has been canceled or delayed._* They bought out her treatment/drafts, paid her for it, and transferred copyrights. This is why they can put those ideas into TV shows - like The Mandalorian and Ahsoka.
