Just watched part 2 last night and was pleasantly surprised to see part 3 out already this morning! I agree that Interstellar is a difficult one to rank, it's the first arrangement from Patrik that I attempted to learn and in my head I rank it lower than a number of pieces in God Level or Hard but that may just be because I have played it enough over the years that it has become much easier. Hope to see a part 4!

I learnt Patrik's Interstellar arrangement in about 3 days to a week, i wouldn't say its god level, maybe around a hard-medium. I found that once you get the first introduction of the melody with the octaves, then the rest of the piece becomes quite manageable, but yes your right it is a very hard piece to rank.

In recent episodes, it did drop quite far as more pieces were put into the ranking, I think it's now in easy tier. Not because it's an easy piece, but because all of his arrangements are generally difficult, so it's more of a comparison with others list.

Actually Ngl I’ve played his duel of the fates a long time agoit’s tricky but like in my opinion it’s actually just looks much harder than it actually is there is a lot of repeat and the jumps are much easier compared to his other pieces. But I do agree the length of it does add significantly to its difficulty

great vid, I think your rankings are valid for the most part. But I do think Oppenheimer should be way higher, simply because there are some insane jumps that too at some crazy speeds. Personally I think it belongs in God Level.

Hi, I just wanted to say how happy am I to see someone who like Patrik's arrangements as I do. It's a very good video ^^, I juste wanted to say, in my opinion, Immaterial is the Hardest play he ever do, because of the speed and precision you need, and of course the stamina you need to keep concentrate in the whole 8 minutes of his composition. Very good video as I say, can't wait for others :) (sorry for my bad English)

I love the ranking! I personally played Interstellar and the whole piece is quite easy, except for the last part where you got semiquavers in both hands...

I saw a lot of people commented on that one, but just to give you my opinion tool: I learnt piano pretty much all by myself, so I am quite bad at it (play all by memory, cannot correctly learn sheet music [rather decypher than reading if you know what I mean], and harmony and music theory are a mystery for me. Yet, I am able to play Interstellar too, even the last part. Not perfectly, ofc, and I make some mistakes from time to time. So I guess that, indeed, it's not such a hard piece. :)

Playing can you hear the music on tempo is actually very very difficult, just guessing the tempos, and getting the “feel” of the piece is not too bad, but actually hitting every tempo change perfectly is extremely hard, at least imo.

hey, just a feedback. I was actually hoping you would put interstellar in easy or medium. when I saw you saying god level I was like “he is definitely joking” lol. this piece was fine for me, and it is one of the easiest pieces I know, and I know some other patrik arrangements. The swapping hands are extremely easier than they sound, the only real difficulty is the last section. At any rate, I’d rank it medium. also, I think you underrated oppenheimer a little bit. just my opinion

Interesting. I started learning Journey of Life a last month, since the first few minutes of play looked fairly simple (I am self taught btw). I was fine up until the climax of the song (in the middle), where he starts doing double arpeggios spanning multiple octaves in between the melody. I hit a wall and have been trying to simplify it for my own sanity. I'm still genuinely surprised you put this at Divine tier tho considering that the piece ranges in difficulty throughout.

The start isn't too difficult but that climax is just insane... u may be able to learn the bit before that easily but learning that climax section is at least another year or so of practicing to be able to go back to it with a fair chance at learning it. Maybe even multiple years. I respect self taught musicians, learning this peice is maximum respect!

I don't know if you've actually tried playing Oppenheimer, but I think you're drastically underestimating the difficulty of this cover. I tried it myself and had a lot of difficulty figuring out the right hand as the speed kept increasing and reaching a level of speed that seemed almost impossible for me to achieve. And if you compare it to the other medium difficulty pieces, it's actually much harder. Also the Interstellar cover is probably overrated by a point, although I'm much more used to arpeggios, having practiced them very early on with a particular focus on the left hand. That is also why I would mostly disagree with your rating as you seem to rank arpeggios as much more difficult than I do. I still think this series is somewhat helpful for those who want to play one of these covers and don't know exactly which one is suitable for them, and it's also very interesting to see a different perspective. For further rankings I would suggest "Empire of Angels" or "Across the Stars" (the last one being my absolute favourite as it has a really beautiful melody which becomes even more beautiful if you watched the movie (the movie and the piece just fit so well together)

I have tried playing the can you hear the music cover and i can only agree… in my opinion its hard to get the right notes down im combination with the speed increase i would put it in high hard or low god level… Interstellar would be in medium, the first 2 minutes are pretty easy and the rest is harder at least but still i would put it in the medium section… I also agree with the duel of the fates and the journey of life in the divine tier, i learned the duel of the fates cover and almost a year later its still very hard to play it without mistakes so i highly agree with those…

Thank you for the helpful comment! I don't think arpeggios are too difficult but they become difficult when you have added complexity with the LH. For example if both hands are really far apart and playing in contrary motion, that's hard to coordinate. However, I have made plans to make adjustments to oppenheimer and interstellar and potentially immaterial in the next video :)

Hi ! Yes, i re-watched a lot of Patrick Pietschmann arrangements yesterday, and i saw duels of the fates..., that's why i calmed about immaterial. But Meeeehhh ?? Journey of life the hardest one, in divine ??? Maybe it's harder than it looks, then... I will can tell soon, i'm currently learning it, and i can yet say that the first 2-3 minutes is easy, and after, it's managable without speed. Yes, middle and last part are at least high God level / SS tier But harder than immaterial ? I'm currently learning immaterial too because i'm masochist, (i dont have the level at all, and i'm struggling a lot)

Edit I've watching (again, for the 100000e time maybe lol, but i cant stop) the journey of life. Yes one part is very very hard, when arpeggios are going crazy. But, that's not harder than other pieces (like immaterial for example, mwouhahaha 🤣😈🤣, sorry bro, i have a hard focus on this one) And it's just one "short" part that repeat likely the same one time. Btw, When you have to cross the hand it's okay, left hand not doing that much. (Please dont say that New Horizon is divine because of that, while it's actually a pretty easy one) But maybe some players are struggling with crossing hands, me not that much, struggle way more with fast arpeggios. Imo Journey of life can go to low SS tier, thanks to the very hard arpeggios part. And it's so insanely beautiful !

Yep at 1:48 exactly in httyd - Pietschmann, the LH plays 4 consecutive 6ths. The peice I was talking about has so so much more of them but they are mostly in the RH, either way they are very difficult to play in a row

with octaves you can fix your hand in one position to play all the notes, but with 6ths the hand position constantly changes, so when you play 6ths back to back it is much harder to make them even and accurate :) hope this helps.
