The Pixar films from the 2000s contain not just some of my favorite animated films, but some of my favorite films period. Every film in this list is a 7/10, or higher. And my personal favorite "The Incredibles" is peak cinema.

I always forget how much I love these movies until I hear someone break them down for the 10th time and I know exactly why this is my favorite movie studio. Being able to make almost every movie in their catalog PERFECT fit the “movie for the whole family” title, with themes that kids and adults can get attached to, and honestly enjoy more as you get older. It’s amazing. Also If I were to recommend a video game for Pixar fans, I would in a heartbeat recommend Undertale Yellow, it’s a free fan game to the original Undertale game, but honestly it’s a PHENOMENAL experience in gameplay, characters, story, endless amounts of attention to detail, so on, that I halfway don’t even think of the two games the same way they’re so disconnected. And you really could get an amazing experience out of UTY without ever playing the original with some exceptions. And the story of the pacifist route at least feels to me like if Pixar wrote the story for a video game that wasn’t held back by being a “kids movie” and was free to express its deeper theming. And the entire true ending sequence of the pacifist ending is my single favorite ending in all of fiction, and the only ending to a video game to EVER make me tear up. I couldn’t recommend it enough to anyone really. It’s free, seriously.

If you’re Cars 1’s strongest soldier I will be Cars 2’s. It is objectively garbage but it is SO MUCH FUN when you just accept exactly what’s happening without questioning it. Just stop thinking and have a blast

Awesome rankings! Pixar truly had a strong holding during the the 2000s, and it's a bit sad to see where the company is currently. Cars is admittedly a flawed movie but I think that's by design, it's meant to be a more comforting, simplistic atmosphere piece of a movie and I enjoy it for what it is.

Wall-E might be my favourite movie without any biases towards the good or fun video game movies like Detective Pikachu, the Sonic films and the illumination Mario movie. It’s also very fun to just listen to you talk the things you enjoy and it helps me get interested in things that I wouldn’t pay attention to. Great job sir!

Cars is literally my childhood franchise that I grew up with and having a soft spot for it. I love it throughout my whole life and yet it is sad to me that people have said it is the most overhated franchise in pixar. Like why do you hate it so much? Had a realllly long week and missed this completely but man I’m glad I’ve seen it in full, like for starters just an amazing concept to rank bc that’s 7 of the most goated films produced in a row by a studio that I grew up with a loved. I like a lot of the genuine praise and criticism coming from the movies in a few ways that I’ve just never thought of like Cars, definitely gonna give that a second look in the future with a more open mind! Anyone can so clearly tell you had fun making this and that’s such a cool thing to see on display with something so many can relate towards. But like one major miss in that how exactly does Anton Ego reproduce? Dumb worldbuilding and stupid hat rat film.

I think Cars in particular gets a bad rep because it was sort of Pixar's Frozen, that brand that cluttered 2 entire aisles at Walmart that you couldn't escape. If it wasn't a victim of overexposure people would likely just view it as kinda mid but ultimately harmless and I imagine its world building wouldn't be shat on nearly as much

2000s Pixar is also incredibly important to me. I grew up with all these movies, and while my ranking of these movies differs from yours, significant or not, what really matters here is that none of these movies are weak, heck none of them are bad. Each one sticks out in a unique way that only they can do, and that allows them to hold so much meaning.

Every Pixar movie from the 2000s was at least a 9-10/10. Pretty much shows how unbeatable Pixar was at their prime. And Cars did win a best animated feature award just not at the Oscars but honestly (hot take) Happy Feet deserved its win. Both movies are really good but Happy Feet was really unique with its concept and the overall storytelling even if the plot was kinda all over the place. Doesn’t really stop the movie from being a great watch from beginning to end. Cars is still like every other Pixar movie in their prime an instant classic and a movie I could watch over and over again. I just feel like Happy Feet definitely between the two deserved the win

I have a feeling my ranking will be a little different since: A. It's been several years since I watched them, and B. I finally got around to watching Studio Ghibli's catalogue and they're overtaking Pixar for my favourite animation studio. Still, again there won't be too many differences, mainly I just hope the movies I place at the bottom I have a much more positive opinion on. 1. Wall-E (Warms my heart every time I see it and basically have no complaints) 2. Cars (The movie I think about the most. It's such a cozy movie and I love seeing other fans exclaim their love for it against it's detractors) 3. Finding Nemo (Between this, Freddie Fish, Spongebob and now Ponyo (hopefully The Little Mermaid down the line), I think I have a soft spot for ocean related media and I don't know why) 4. Monster's Inc (Still a very powerful story, but this is the rare occasion where watching this movie so many times as a kid dulled the humor nowadays) 5. Up (wish I watched this movie more when I was younger) 6. The Incredibles (the designs kind of weirded me out and I'm not a big fan of the superhero family idea. Still a great movie and one which I hope to gain a more positive opinion on a rewatch) 7. Ratatouille (I tried to get this movie, I really, really did. And now that I'm on a movie watching spree, hopefully I can see it as the magnum opus people are saying it is.

I was a little upset when I saw Up at the bottom because I'm so tired of Up slander and how only the first four minutes are good, but I do kinda understand it. Cars is a decent film, definitely not bad, and despite being one of my favorite pixar films, it's not a film I watch as much as Nemo, Monsters Inc, or Incredibles simply because it's a film that's too hard to sit through for me. Finding nemo top one is a based pick that makes up for it because despite being one of the most iconic films ever made, nowadays most people only view it as "yeah it's pretty good, but not really the best", when no it is very much one of the best Pixar films, up there with Ratatouille, Up, and Incredibles.

God, finally feel validated for my recent disdain for Up. It's a perfectly fine movie, but good lord don't people overhype the emotional aspect of this movie to ridiculous degrees. This is mostly stemming from community polls I see on "What is the "Insert another word for sad" moment out of these Pixar movies. And Up wins every single time while imo; Coco and Monsters Inc. off the top of my head is infinitely more emotional with the characters than Up. Now with that said, I don't dislike the movie, I'm just sick of people only hyping up the first 10 minutes like it's the whole movie
