My sister actually doesn't even have a phone, she just used my phone to draw using her fingers. She's totally kind of great when it comes to traditional art but when it comes to digital well she really needs improvement. I like how you didn't mention the worst and biggest issue of the Gaomon... the calibration. The closest to perfect you can get it is factory resetting and then you might notice zones being way off... after 10-30 minutes. This seems to happen most if you have messed with the screen orientation or literally ANY setting on the monitor.

Your love of the intuos 3 isn't nostalgia, they are also my favourite and I've had an intuos 4, 5, pro, two cintiqs and a huion. So damned good and I am also trying to get a hold of one in working order as I'd trade in my current cintiq companion for it in a heartbeat. Intuos 4 and up felt too grippy, I liked the pen a lot less (But now I use a pro pen which is closer to the intuos 3) when I had the intuos 5 after a few days, yeah, you read that right, DAYS! The rubber started to bulge and come away and eventually rip. It spent years on my desk with gaffer tape all over it to keep it together. I had a pro and the USB port broke after a few months because I travelled with it. Just bad times all around. The 3 was flawless. EDIT: I forgot, I also had the OG bamboo (Which I liked very much)

My partner wants to get into art, and feels most comfortable with a digital space where things are less permanent, I try to break their shell a bit by drawing traditionally but it spikes up some low confidence, to eventually being unable to continue. I won't share my work because it isn't relevant, but I understand if that means I can't be considered. The first thing I would do if I won the giveaway is start drawing with them :) maybe following some prompts for fun too!

I'm a traditional artist that's been trying to find a digital art tablet so I can draw book covers digitally and not fear running out of traditional supplies all the time as well as having more tools at my disposal. I am a writer myself and the first thing I would draw if I one an Art Tablet would be a sheet of all my Dragon Nova characters and their dragons. I'd finally be able to draw each character individually and move them around the page to where they fit the best and with the colors I can't get with my pens.

I understand completely why you made the iPad Pro an A. Its high resolution and 120 hz refresh rate won me over too. the screen is so easy on the eyes with almost 0 blue light. there is no lag and its pin point accurate from every position and side. Its also light and doesn't need a million wires. If you don't like the slippery gl;ass then using a matte screen protector is cheap and works great for paper like friction. My Wacom has been collecting dust since I got my iPad pro.

Currently doing college online, so getting a pen display would be a massive help: Main display would have the zoom lecture and the pen display would have one note. In terms of art, I usually just use Gimp to make some meme art for my friends to enjoy. Don't expect to win, but doesn't hurt to comment. Omg!! This made me so happy. I used to draw everything with my wacom intuos 3 (4in x 6in). Even when I invested in a more expensive, newer, and larger tablet, I always went back to my intuos 3. There's just something so comfortable and great about it! I've moved on to a tablet x screen now, but I will NEVER get rid of my intuos

Whenever I get the time to finish it, I'll do a video about tablets for my french viewers. I appreciate how you ranked them by the best quality according to their affordability, but also tell which one has the best screen, feeling, etc... Hey Ross! I'm Alex, and I've been drawing just with my mouse since I started, for the past 7 years. I would LOVE to have a screen tablet to develope my style even further, mostly when it comes to my backgrounds, or how could I approach making my mecha designs without the feather tool. A tablet like one these would be such an inprovement for my illustrations, a literal dream coming true. This is my portfolio! The answer is, you don't have to be "good enough" from the start. You may think that the definition of "good enough" is set in stone, that it's something you must match, but the truth is we build this definition ourselves. Yes-we set the bar unreachably high, and then we suffer when trying to reach it. We stand in awe in front of a beautiful artwork, and we decide that a drawing must be similar to it to be good. Even though we're just poor I wanted to make a manga that would inspire ny fellow filipinos to have the courage to make things impossible to possible

Funny thing is, I have the Intuos4 and since I've bought it about 10 years ago I actually have not encountered any issues. The only reason I really want to upgrade is because I want one with a screen. Suprised to hear you had such a different expirience with it.

I went Cintiq in 2012 and never looked back..it is simply the top of the line state of the art drawing monitor..my 24HD is STILL my production mainstay after all these years..so, poor little Ross? Cintiq 32 too heavy? Too expensive? Well don't fret, I'll come right over and take it off your hands and give it a proper home in my studio..no problem. Glad to help.

After 15 years my intuos 3 is still great and inly had to replace nib once. Only thing is gotta set the screen proportion for the correct aspect ratio, since it was released before widescreen monitors were popular. You will see its wrong when you try to draw a perfect circle and it comes out squashed.

Im a traditional artist and tried digital art before but the inability to actually see where your hand is going fucked with my head since i also have a bad eyesight, i bought my very first screen tablet which is the Huion Kamvas 16 2021 edition and should be here soon, thank you for the thought and your opinion :)

Hey Ross, try getting a new overlay for your Intuos Pro. Think you can choose from smooth, normal, and rough for around $40 to $50.....

A few days ago, while I was cleaning up, I came across a couple of comic books that I made when I was really young. I would like to draw them in a graphics program, but I don't have the tools for that. So I think the first thing I would do if I won a tablet would be to redraw old comics and give them a second life. Maybe in the future I will be able to read them with my children. the very first thing I'd draw with a brand new tablet is my original characters! lately i've been creating a new universe with a storyline as well as a set of characters that i've been dying to bring to life! unfortunately the only thing i use to draw is my surface book 2 + surface pen, but my surface pen has recently been acting up lately so i haven't been producing as much art as i'd love to. you can find some of my old works @vialilac on twitter! good luck to everybody else entering!

Kind of related to this but 1 question: Does Cintiq Pro 16 have animations? Also, I tried to go to the comment on the Top 9 Best Tablet but unfortunately the comment turn off for some reason (Not because of Coppa because you can still save in Playlist and Download) so, that's why I comment here

For me that I use tied for price and pen: Huion Kamvas 22 Plus & Wacom Intuos Pro Large. The Intuos Pro I've been using since 2017 and does not break, the touch is jumpy so I turned it off, the pro pen 2 is the holy grail of pens. For the Huion, nice large real estate, pen is good too, colors are amazing, paired with XP pen remote workflow is fast. Although Wacom remote is nice too, I don't use it although I have it. Shortcut buttons are nice on the Intuos. I couldn't justify $1300 for the Cintiq 22, but Wacom One price is easier to swallow. The old 27 inch Cintiq that pro artists like is sub $1000 on auction sites. Ipad Pro is nice, but for budget you can get away with the base ipad and gen 1 pencil. I also have a Huion Kamvas 16 Pro, one major negative is the pen is a lot squishy, you feel it flexing. Just one tablet to name #1 for me would be the Huion Kamvas 22 Plus over the wacom for pen display but only slightly.

Ross, I am buying one for my son Christmas. I am looking at the GAOMON PD2200 on sale for $369 (Amazon). Would you recommend that over some of the other similar priced competitors (2020 HUION KAMVAS 22 or XP Pen Artist 22 Pro)? Thank you so much for your time.

If wacom could make a 120hz 1ms screen display with a high resolution it would be instant S tier for me, 60hz with a 14ms response time has noticeable lag on the Cintiq 24 pro.

On a screen less tablet you can put paper over top and you’ll get a better feel

If I win, I'd give the tablet to my boyfriend. Knowing him, he would draw badass looking samurais with beards, and would add a lot of smoke as a decoration. He loves this kind of stuff!

The first thing I will draw when I win my tablet for sure will be the characters from my stories, at the moment some of them inhabit some loose sheets of paper that are kept in a plastic folder, but most live in my imagination. I wanted to transform my stories in comic books or engraved books (like your Ross book) and post them, but here in Brazil any of these tablets is very expensive and I can't afford to buy one now or in the near future.

I would draw myself; I always draw someone or something, I rarely draw myself. Being Insecure about my flaws makes it harder for me to draw ME! It would be a great start this 2021 to boot myself up and try to know that I'm perfect that I belong to the world. People appreciate your art but never appreciates the ARTIST! That's the truth, but I want to appreciate myself; this 2021, I want to COLOR DODGE the WORLD and say this IS me, and This my artwork of ME! 2021 should be a year of rebuilding ourselves !!
