Ranking Stranger Things Characters!! *season 2* ~ this was a tough one ~

Hey guys, I'm back with another video!! So, with Season 2 of Stranger Things finished as promised here is my ranking of this seasons characters. I decided with the input of you guys that these will be happening at the end of every season, simply because new characters are added in constantly and existing characters change throughout the seasons. So I'm really enjoying using these videos to visually see my opinions change per season. Enjoy xoxo

Like in season one people said that he would have loved Steve in season 2,it's a spoiler because Steve almost died in season one but Brad knew he would have survived and that he would have liked him. He kinda knew about his character development and in my opinion it ruined the "development" for him. And now saying that *spoiler* Mike will get worse, it's a spoiler

S1 had Will missing for a good portion of it. But S2 was his season. Noah's acting was so good and I felt so bad for him. Glad Mike was constantly there to comfort him. Joyce was amazing as always. And Steve went from a character I really liked to one I loved. Onward to S3. Where some characters get better. And some seem to have peaked in the first 2 seasons.

Max's mother probably came from a background where this abuse by a male figure was normalized. Someone who typically internalizes blame and responsibility is easy to emotionally blackmail into staying in the relationship with an abuser who uses fear, obligation, and guilt. It could've been from witnessing this dynamic between her own parents, with a submissive mother as her role model. Much like how Billy turned out like his father.

tbh i think some people really easily forget that both will and el saved the day in this season. will had the mental strength to break through and tell the others that the way to stop the mind flayer is by closing the gate, which obviously we know el followed through with. will’s role as a spy on the side of the good guys wasn’t completely a lost cause, and he saved everyone by doing so and snitching on how to defeat the mind flayer. and him having the mental strength is really admirable when we see how other flayed people are significantly less in control in the next season.

He can be selfish without being shallow, he can be selfish for the sake of protecting his friends/out of fear of one of his friends/el getting hurt, but I don’t know how you can say he isn’t being selfish. 3. Especially with writing as indirect and nuanced as the Duffers’, people can have different interpretations of the character. There’s no reason to insult people or look down on them bc they interpret things differently from you lmao

i really like mike, he's one of my favorite characters (even though most people hate him, you probably gonna hate him too) but i agree with you, in s2 he was mean to Max, did i agree with that? Absolutely not. Max didn't deserve this, but i can understand why Mike was the way he was, he was grieving and maybe on the brink of depression? I mean, it's not normal to call a person every day for a year with no response...

I love Mike too! He's not perfect but he rarely annoys me. I understand him most of the time and I don't think that the way he's been acting isn't true to his character as some people say.

I think everyone hates on Mike because he's the most accurate representation of a real teenager. All over the place, can't put his feelings into words and bites his foot most of the time, kinda of selfish yeah and not very aware of other people's feelings. I think we all forget it's all normal behaviour. I also love Mike too, he was my favourite in the first and secound season and I really hate the "hate train" everyone got goin on with him. Though I think the writers are partially to blame too, I think with so many characters they got a bit lost with Mike and got no clue what to do with him.

Great list! I would have put some characters differently, but it's hard to only focus on S2 when I know where they're going in the next two seasons, so I can see the reason why you put them there.
