Ranking Stranger Things Characters!! *season 3* ~ potentially controversial :/ ~

Hey guys, I'm back with another video!! So, before we jump on in to Season 4 of Stranger Things I wanted to make a ranking of Season 3. I had a lot of thoughts on this season so I was pleased to have the opportunity to collect my thoughts on each character one by one. Simply because I feel like we had the most changes in Season 3 and a lot of new characters too! Enjoy xoxo

Steve really went from being just Nancy's boyfriend to the Mother of several kids and one of the best characters. And I love it. Robin is iconic, and Murray really stepped up too. I was a little disappointed that they kinda dropped Will's storyline after episode 3 though. We had time to deal with everyone else's relationship drama. And I feel like it could've been a great opportunity to explore Will's trauma and how he's dealing with his friends drifting apart. But meh. Really didn't like Mike's character this season though. In S1, he was willing to jump off a cliff to Dustin. He pushed Troy for insulting Will. In S2, he was super protective of Will and stood by his side the whole time. But in this season, he's just angry all the time. And instead of being a protective leader, he's just only "El's boyfriend" and that's as deep as his character goes this season. Which is honestly disappointing to how he used to be.

“I like him but he can be better” is such a fair way to describe Mike! Regardless of what I think of his character (I enjoy him) I can understand that you preferred watching other characters because his flaws were being accentuated, I just don’t like it when some fans treat him like he’s the worst guy on the face of the planet

thank you! i actually love mike, i dont know why, he's just a great character in own way, i like that they gave him flaws too, definitely makes him feel more real, i also like it becase a lot of the time his flaws come from something deeper like his whole being a bit controlling this season with el was out of his fear of losing her, when it came to max calling him out on how he was questioning her abilities it wasn't out of not believing in her it was just out of him being pretty much the only one who cared about the potential outcome of it all, anyway not to sound like i'm trying to be "deep" or anything, i'm just happy to see other people who like mikes character regardless of the bad decisions or flaws

After S4, Mike became officially the worst ST character (of the main cast). In S1 he was one of the best. Hope they fix him in S5.

"Omg I cant believe Brad put Billy higher than Will and Mike, that's so messed up" Brad put Billy higher bc he doesn't have terminal fandom-brain and treats them like characters instead of pretending like they're real people. This is a character ranking, not a damn friendship list. Billy had more care put into his writing this season than Mike or Will and that is simply the bottom line of it.

With Robin they did a great job. I think so many people shipped her with Steve and then the twist was so good and well done. It didn't feel like it was shoehorned. Steve being a proper mate and supporting her was stellar as well which we expect no less from him.

I too would have put Mike in 'Needs work' and lower than Karen. My #1 is still (and remains) Joyce. She is so badass without the need of any super powers (not that El isn't epic). She has no powers protecting her but would still throw herself into dangrous situations to protect her children (and the other children/loved ones too) without a second thought. That to me is epic badassery. (plus she kneed the Mayor and that felt good... so satisfying).

mike is a great character. he’s that character that we get to see actually gong through the teen emotions and we see every step of him making mistakes and fixing them or discovering feelings he doesn’t know.

I’m so happy you change your mind about the song and Suzie. When I first watched it I was absolutely crying with laughter I know it was kind of strange to have it in there but I just felt like it was so hilarious as a juxtaposition to what was going on in the show. Plus Suzie turned out to be real. And Suzie Pooh and Dusty bun were adorable. And it just brought a laugh. A lot of laughs. For me. Also I’m old and I remember the show the song is from lol. I think that if Billy had survived his experience with the Mind Flayer that there is a good chance he would have turned things around and become a better person (similar to how Steve did in Season 1). The fact that his last words were to apologise to Max speaks a lot to how he was feeling imo
