Sturgill is a very interesting and eclectic musician that is generally considered to be part of the Americana or "new outlaw" country scene, but his output ranges from traditional country to psych-influenced country to rock to bluegrass. Who know what genre he might take on next?

i have metamodern sounds,a sailor's guide to earth and sound and fury,all good albums! i decided to pass on the cutting grass albums,only cause they're re-recordings of his early songs..
