@Jake-- I hear you! I grew up in the 90s in northeast OH so Chief Wahoo runs deep and it was never meant as disrespect that it was cartoonish and/or emblematic of savagery. More to the point, a longstanding gesture and tribute to Cleveland's first Native American-- Louis Sockalexis-- who was a renown pitcher and athlete for the then Cleveland Spiders. It's a palpable absurdity the Indians-- or the Tribe-- were buffaloed and that is coming from someone who is part Native American.

The pirates pillbox hat is a solid pick because of its uniqueness, but the yellow version of it with the black bill from the Stargell era is the better version imo. Or if you're going to go all black it has to be one with the Stargell Stars on it. Pillbox hats we by far known as a Pirates thing, but 6 teams wore them in 1976; obviously Pirates, Reds, Cardinals, Expos, Mets, and Phillies

The Expos logo is overall a stylized "M" for Montreal. The reason that people have a hard time with it is that the letters inside, e (red), d (white) and b (blue) stand for French words, not English words. So it's like this: M = Montreal e = equipe d = de b = baseball In French, "equipe de baseball" means "baseball team". So it literally stands for "Montreal Baseball Team".

Trick question. Best MLB hats are not MLB but MiLB. I have a pretty solid collection and no MLB hat come close to the worst MiLB design. Though I will say best hats go to Orioles of course, best logo along with Indians RIP then Arizona diamondbacks alternate hat with blue contour in the A then Atlanta braves with the tomahawk in the A I like the mariners a lot. Old florida marlins old Houston astros of course Expos and I also liked the old Bluejays hat. The cardinals I think alternate with the cardinal on the bat logo.
