In Edward’s defense, vampires are eternally frozen at the age they were turned. Therefore, Edward was turned at 17 and never finished developing mentally and was truly an eternal 17 year old. Any maturity he had was due to being born in a different era. It’s a major plot point about how it’s illegal to turn children/babies because they are unable to develop mentally and are eternally in their terrible twos. It’s also why Bella was so desperate to turn while she was still in her teens. If she had continued aging then she would eventually be mentally older than Edward and grow bored.

It could have worked given its actually pretty realistic that given 5+ ancient vampires some are going to have some questionable origins, but that should have been linked more to his villainous backstory pre Alice. Especially as he was supposed to be the wild card of the group, maybe have a convo showing it part of how he is still growing as a person (which as an aside, that plot point completely undermines Edward “I’m still 17 at heart” Cullen)

I've always thought Carlisle should have died in the end. I mean I love the character of course but his death would have been the most impactful for the overall plot: the man who has created them all, the man who has shaped this family together across the centuries out of shear will -- would have died to protect it in the end by the hands of his "brothers" (the Voltury) and Edward would have had to be the one taking on the mantle, becoming head of the family and having to fight to keep them all together after this tremendous loss. But that would have meant actual character development for Edward (going from selfish to selfless and from solitary to community leader). And we all know Stephenie Meyer was like "Girl noooo, my Ed is already perfect, there's no need for him to change he can do no wrong!"

Unfortunately i can explain why Edward rips into Bella's stomach to get Reneesme (god she has the hardest name to spell) in the book it explains that since Bella is a carrying a vampire child...somehow the skin of her belly is like vampire's skin(?) And vamp skin is often described like marble so the only way to break it is through vampire teeth. And the cgi for the baby is cause in the books shes described as like otherwordly and very beautiful for a baby and for her rapid aging. How i still remember the books and it's been over 10 years since ive read them i do not know 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

She said, I believe in both the movie and book, that doing the dangerous things would allow her to see him again and that she needed to keep putting herself in danger to see him. You can also see the vision of him in both of these clips, as he tells her to stop, and she does the stuff anyway. Girly was really going through it and needed to go to therapy for these hallucinations, rather than trying to see her bf that abandoned her

Okay idk if someone said this already but the reason Bella and Edward were given a seperate house is 3 reasons, 1 Bella is a baby vamp and she could straight up kill someone and u dont want that near Jasper, 2 because shes just married and a baby vamp theyre gonna have loud-ass and destructive ass sex (its not, its just missionary and i like to imagine Edward doesnt last) and 3 is that its a temporary gift. The other kids also had a house as a gift when they got married but eventually they move. But yea every Cullen-kid-couple has been given a house
