I personally think that based on Techincal skill - Butterfly would be lower than Law and Tomboy. Their vocals overall weren't that great.

@@mvv0 here's my point of view: tomboy team didn't dance and law team didn't sing, so I'd say the butterfly performance was more difficult to pull of and since they did manage to pull it off I ranked it higher It's okay if you disagree I just wanted to explain why I ranked it that way

rush hour team PAINS me to think about because you can tell they're not from the streets. they weren't built to hibby hibby hop. ricky said "i've been walking on the street yuh" but he's been driving ferraris his whole life. takuto doesn't know anything about street smarts. sungmin has never been in a fist fight. hiroto, the only one who is even close to fitting the concept, was forced into a fuzzy cardigan. they're just not meant for this song 💔💔

@@suspicioussloth nah I just saw the performance and all of them gave such a cunty performance. Redemption points +++ Gunwook being a different person. Hanbin giving me chills and Zhanghao being the king he is and ofc hui killing it and shined more on mcountdown performance than on bp one. I think mnet made them perform the song differently cuz yk all the old farts behind the scenes PDs and directors are nothing but bunch of boomers most of the time so no one really gets why a boy grp gotta perform the gg song just like that expressing their own fem sides e.g. The Boyz covering girls generation 'the boys' Or stray kids doing fancy by twice, svt covering boa's no.1 These are just few examples. The reason is that when gg performs a bg song, they change their whole vibe, they channel their masc energy, the outfits change drastically (suits, slick or smooth hairstyles, boyish dresses, darker makeup etc.) On the top of that they way they do those dances become different and has more coolness in it. What I'm saying is girls work hard and care abt the details when covering or performing a boy grp song so bg should put in the effort in covering gg songs. Doesn't mean they have all of sudden wear dresses or skirts etc. Like back in the days boys grp used to do when covering gg songs in mote of a comedic or mocking way. But to channel the energy of the song is important. It is what it is. It's just my opinion though I would love to see bg being more sensible when covering gg songs. I don't want monstrosity anymore 😭 Like don't cover the song if you are not willing to be feminine for the music and art it displays.

Imagine fumbling an iconic song like love killa.....seowon was the only memorable part of that performance which is shocking considering jiwoong was in his element with the concept and choreo and they hyped up Matthew sm for him to completely flop on stage ☠️

I thought I was the only one who didn't like the Love Lilla stage. It was so underwhelming and unfortunately for Matty, he did not fit that concept well at all. Seowon was the only one I felt did a good job but even so, I was highly upset they won their round.

This is solely my opinion that I don't see many ppl talk Abt but I kinda want to share. Zhanghao was the only one who was giving genders. Good mixture of masc and fem energy He was literally giving "neither man nor woman" with his vocals and visuals and his sound. He's a solid vocalist guys😭😭 and Gunwook and hui kinda ruined the essence of this song. Mnet shouldn't have chosen such a gender defying song that became an anthem for several kpop artists and kpop fans to be used and rearranged to show a boy being a tomboy? Like....its funny how the song was about a girl not wanting to conform to stupid gender ideas she's stuck with whether in relationships or in any other aspect of life. Soyeon's iconic bad English rap was on purpose using random lines showing a rebellion of a girl who refuse to be your girly girl in order to be liked. She boldly states she love things that ppl don't want women doing. Gunwook and hui took it and made about a boy being sassy about cutting a girl out of his life? Idk that's what I got from their delivery. A good idea but not for such a song. Don't touch the song if you don't have the balls to sing it with it's original message. They could have taken it and made the message Abt boys not conforming to the standards of how to be a man and all that masc stuff. Or how they are comfortable being soft men who can express themselves or something like that but......idk although individually speaking all four of then did so well, vocals nice, stage manners nice, stage presence and all that shit nice. Mnet is going to hell for taking such an anthem and giving it to the boys to sing changing almost everything.(if you change the pronouns of some songs they become weird and the message doesn't get delivered at all bc those songs are specifically written with a purpose. Let's not forget that. They could have kept the same lyrics but do whatever they wanted with the melody or instrumentals) Lmk if y'all share the same thought maybe I'm being too much judgemental or something idk😭😭

That is my worry exactly from the start lol, they still slayed the performance objectively. However who tf thinks that tomboy is a suitable song for a group of men to perform? It's just so weird how it's even a choice. Also I will be just be brave and say that I mostly dislike it when they have to perform songs of girl groups, except for a few I guess. Feel Special for example, Woonggi slayed it and he really delivered the essence of the song well. I also like kill this love but I also dislike it a bit for the same reason despite it not being obvious

It’s… really not that deep but I understand what you were trying to say. But firstly, they kinda had to change it up since it was vocal and rap, and you’re really supposed to make the song your own and make it about your own experiences, like Chen Kuan Jui did with his modern dance in Butterfly. It really honestly doesn’t matter that much. I’m not trying to be rude or anything but messages of songs can be interpreted in different ways. That happened to be the way Tomboy was interpreted for you, but Soyeon could’ve meant something completely different with her lyrics, who knows. I just really honestly think it’s not very deep but whatever.

As a Monbebe... I'd like to say that Love Killa team did well. It's hard to bring the iconic Monsta X vibe no matter how hard you try, but they did try their best and I rank it 7.5/10. I thought Hui would shine in Tomboy because when Pentagon did the rock version of "Very Good" by Block B in "Road to Kingdom", it was fucking memorable. But yup, Tomboy team I'd say 8/10. Zoom Team... 9/10 (Fuck Mnet for eliminating Wumuti). Feel Special... 5/10. When I was watching the live streaming, I was cursing out because Woongki was robbed of 1st Place.
