Sorry but i gotta give it to Godfrey. Badass monologues must run in his family because him and Morgott are by far the bosses with the most character and best writing. He has a sweet moment with his son and then places him down to talk to you, with a voice fitting of a true king. Not to mention the fact that Godfrey and his army were the origin of the tarnished, it is likely that we ourselves were part of his army as in the intro we also come back from outside the lands between. That is why he treats you with respect, you probably was one of his warriors. Serosh also roaring in specific moments to emphasize his emotions and delivery on the lines was great. Also if you were aware of how Serosh suppressed his bloodlust before the bossfight, seeing him give Serosh his thanks before slaying him is one of the best lore reveals in the game.

I fully disagree with the take on miquella. I feel like your hate for his voice lines is just pure grude-filled copium for the boss likely having given you a very hard time to beat him. There is no way they're as abhorrently bad as you exaggerated, as they are completely in line with the character and his lore, his writing into the story and his developments up until that point, and how he was meant to be portrayed with the voice actress's solid delivery. @@frapapeto please don't confuse yourself with most people. While there were a lot of people who felt that the boss was unfair(mainly with that double cross slash bs), that didn't mean he sucked. Plus he got nerfed pretty recently and most people love him way more than they did originally. Just cuz the boss is difficult doesn't mean it sucks 💀. Second, Miquella's voice wasn't mid. I'm not saying it's the greatest thing ever, but It fit him perfectly and the voice actress did a wonderful job with her delivery. You're just hating because the boss kicked your ass and made you mad. And lastly, The lore is not that confusing at all and honestly one of the more well-crafted lore verses of fromsofts games. @@NoLifeKing_0 this isn't even a case of "ha ha Radahn defenders 🤪", it's just that recently I've been seeing people hate on the most random and out of the blue aspects of the character or the game in general, and I mostly feel it's just because the fight kicked their ass. There's a fine difference between having genuine criticism and then just blindly hating it to the point of spouting nonsense, cuz almost everyone I've come across who "critiques" The boss never provide any actual substance to their complaints, and it just comes across as butthurt copium. Of course a fight is gonna be easier the more you understand it, that is the most bare bones basic obvious knowledge when it comes to anything in any game ever. But just cuz you understand something doesn't take away from the initial challenging factor that the boss provides, and it will still make you have to try pretty hard if you want to win.

I gotta say, i disagree with godfrey being so low. He respects you so much because he knows how hard the tarnished had to fight to stand before him, given that he himself is also a tarnished who also once stood against the struggles we had to face. Think of the fight between godfrey and the tarnished as a battle in the ring, sure you can be an ass towards your opponent but if you don't respect them or even underestimate them you could find yourself on the ground and pushed into a corner. That's why i love godfrey. I mean that guy had a fricking army of tarnished that fought alongside him. Also holy f i did not intend this to be so long, sorry.

First of all, i enjoyed the video. But it feels weird how you set baselines for how you'll be juding the characters and just get them wrong or have like "yeah dude this doesn't sound badass" levels of judgement Mikella voicelices are a perfect fit for his character, his delivery is as neutral as it can be, he got rid of every human aspect he had, he's chalenging you to fight him and yet we can't get any will to fight or to cause harm. Rykard should invoke a grotesque feeling, after all he lost himself to glutony, if anything he lacks more SFX during his deliverys to sound more disgusting, the VA did a great job Godfrey sound like a generic anouncer for MMO RPG trailers and Hora Loux lacks the sevagery it should have Midra is a bad version of everything good about messmer. Maliketh is aweasome but you get him so wrong dude WTF? his voice is trying to hide an eternal remorse and guilt over godwins death, he doesn't sound badass, he sounds sad. Divine Beast is one of the best fights in the game and it feels so bad to talk about bosses without having a way to include him. But even if you'd consider the old lady delivery. Her announcement is way too weak compared to Ranni's message before Renalla 2nd phase

Also not going to lie, Messmer is good. But if you noticed they changed his voice delivery in the game, as in the trailer he sounded different, and in my opinion he just sounded way better. Like the "mother, woulds't thou truly lordship sanction in one so bereft of light" or "those stripped of the grace of gold shall all meet death, in the embrance of Messmers flame" had such an ominous, creepy delivery in the trailer

you were a bit wrong about messmers whole hypocrite thing. he was a child, manipulated and abandoned by his mother. a mother whom he still loves. in his end he curses her for all the suffering he endured under her rule.

I disagree with Midra being so low on the list. The emotion in the voice is there and if one takes enough effort to get the lore, which is I admit a bit convoluted re. Midra and Nanaya, it makes for an incredibly painful breaking of an oath he took to contain Flame of Frenzy. Also his line before the fight is actually delivered in so good way that I can feel the pain he feels when he tries to stop the player from interfering. Midra, in the end, contained Flame of Frenzy to keep it away from the rest. And now you enter his manse and try to force him to release it, well he does in the end but with incredible level of disappointment with his own weakness, and with terrible regret he couldn't keep promise he gave to Nanaya, and also with a touch of relief and despair. Those lines alone "Enough... I have endured... more than enough..." are full of barely contained desperation, sadness and yet a promise of great power ready to be released. And yes, Midra is my favorite boss :D

Miquella is supposed to sound like that and putting how he is described in lore obviously he wont scream his voice lines or deliver them with anger I think people just keep finding new ways to hate on the boss itself

I feel you were biased against Miquella and a lot of your anger was just because you dislike the boss, and you didn't give the voicelines a fair chance. I think the voice actor did a great job (just like every other voice actor in the game). I particularly like "My loyal blade, and champion of the festival. Both your deeds will forever be praised in song." Considering how the majority of bosses are super evil and diss us, I think it's a nice suprise when a boss is respectful. It's also why I love Chadfrey "thy strength befits a crown." Also Margit easily has the best death voice line in the game: "I shall remember thee, tarnished. Smouldering with thy meagre flame. Cower in fear, of the night. The hands of the fell omen shall brook thee no quarter." Not only does it foreshadow Morgott's return later, but considering Margit is the first boss many players will face, it sets the game up perfectly. He basically tells us that we may think we are hot shit for beating a boss, but we are still in for a world of hurt. Perfect line for the first boss Idk if you left him out intentionally or just forgot, but I think Gideon Ofnir's voice actor kills it. I am jealous that my voice doesn't sound this cool. Every time he speaks its music to my ears
