Well all right! Great video, enjoyed all three of your lists. Here's mine from 9 to 1. Coda; Presence; In Through the Out Door; Led Zep debut; Led Zep 2; Led Zep 4; Houses of the Holy; Led Zep 3 with the bloated, yet great, Physical Graffiti on top.

Loved this video, guys! Like others have said, it is great that so many Zep fans have different rankings. I remember when Presence came out and my high school buddy bought it and hated it, so he gave it to me because I really liked it at the time.....but now I can't even listen to it. But Physical Graffiti was and has always been tops for me (Tommy NAILED it when he commented on how transcendent and otherworldly that album seems....in a way that is hard to explain to those who don't feel it) - I carried that album around school back in 1975, playing it on the school's media-center phonograph, promoting it to other kids, I liked it so much. It's pretty much the only Zep album I still listen to regularly.

I need to go back thru the catalog now. I got so burnt out on LZ since my older brother (born in mid 60s) was a huge fan and played the heck out of them and then a bar owner I worked for about 20 years ago in Jersey City played a best of every shift and sometimes twice. I figure I've had a long enough break now! thanks for sparking my interest

Hey guys. What a grand Countdown this was. Crystal I would've loved to know you best and least fave tracks on each Zeppelin LP. PAUL, what is your favorite Jimmy page Gtr solo from led Zeppelin? Tommy. I totally understand your analysis of Physical Graffiti Yes it is a four sided complete Occult masterpiece. I've felt similarly. I tripped on mushrooms the first time I'd heard the whole album and it was utterly stupifying. SIDE 3 Sent me to an Alternate universe which wasn't a heaven nor hell but an 'inner sanctuary' of sedate being I've not felt since. In the Light bron yr aur Down by the Seaside Kashmir. I can't think of a tighter multi side Rock album. Perhaps The Beatles white album SIDE 3. Maybe. Led Zeppelin 2 affected me as well. I believed the entire Side One was one whole song😮 Houses of the Holy however is my #1 favorite LZ Album. So varied in scope and tone. The Ocean The Crunge and Dancing Days are awesome to drum to. 🙋🥁 Like all great Rock drummers, John Bonham had his own thing and is one of my drum influences of all time.

Dude on the right nailed what"s so special about PHYSICAL GRAFFITI. It's not disjointed, it's a dark, multi-faceted gem. As a kid, I remember hanging out in a mall novelty shop, looking through their posters, and somebody put PHYSICAL GRAFFITI on. I kept asking the the guy at the register, "Who is this?" "Okay, but who's this now?" 4 songs in, and the guy says, "Still Zeppelin, man. We're playing the whole album," pulling the album cover out to show me. And then I found a huge blacklight poster whose falling angel,/Ken doll Icarus lept out at, and frightened me a bit. Just like the music that was playing. Led Zeppelin? The same band blasting through the speakers right now? I fell in love with the group and decided to stay until the record was over, but then I really had to use the bathroom. As KASHMIR faded out and I headed toward the door, I saw register guy put on side three, and had to ask if ths was a double album. He nodded. So I waited until the very end. Register guy gave me a thumbs up, and said, "Go, go, go!" And I was out of there like a shot. Best feeling piss ever. But I could have waited through two more sides of that magically dark album. I was hypnotized. I had a new favorite band. My bladder had been frozen in time.

Hello Christian. Wishing you a nice weekend. How's 2010? My list is almost finalized along with a fair share of HMs. A fantastic year. I am happy to announce that my album of the year will (most likely) be a debut from a UK artist. 😀 BTW, for me Canada comes on very strong in the post-2000 era with many favorites such as New Pornographers, Wolf Parade, Arcade Fire and more. Not sure why this is true - but I am happy for them. Later, my friend.

@@NaughtyVampireGod Hey, Naughty! A pleasure to hear from you my friend and I do hope you’ve had a great week 😊👍🏻 My 2010 list is all done now. I’ve done a top 10, rather than a top 5, and I have a couple of HMs. I surprised myself at how many albums I was listening to back in 2010, but it’s still far fewer than what I would have been absorbing during the early noughties and most of the nineties. I’m really excited, as always, to see your picks and you’ve got me thinking now who your UK artist is going to be 🤔 I always learn from your lists and I’ll definitely make a mental note of the Canadian artists you have mentioned will be making an appearance. So much great music has come out of Canada, and I know there’s much more for me to discover through your willingness to share your knowledge. Talk to you later, my friend 😊🙏

Hello, I don't dislike "Presence" as you three. I think it's a kind of "rockabilly" album. But it's not a masterpiece, of course, as a whole. I think it's' more cohesive than "Houses of the holy", an album that I don't love as much as you three. "Houses" is a kind of relaxed, detached album (too much according to me) and it's a little bit disjointed, with songs like "Dyer maker" or "The Crunge" mixed with great songs like "Rain song" or "Dancing days" (yes I love that one too). There are highs and lows...Well, I don't agree with you about those two albums, but nevermind, no need to be angry...here's my list : 1. LZ 3 (oh yes, I love the acoustic second side, by the way, "That's the way" is so subtle and dreamy) - 2. Physical graffiti - 3. LZ4 - 4. LZ2 - 5. LZ1 - 6. Presence - 7. Houses of the holy - 8. In through the outdoor ("Hot dog"........and I think it's got the worst solo by Page in it) - 9. Coda. I love your channel, specially you three. Love to see people who get on so well as you, and what a fun ! It's contagious ! Best wishes.

@@NaughtyVampireGod Hey my friend NVG!! Thank you. This was very easy for me since I definitely heard all of their albums but the last two (Zeppelin IV and Zeppelin II) were the first ones I've heard on cassettes due to my grandma Noelle's boyfriend at the time who has a great music collection all on LPs, Cassettes, 8-Tracks and 45s of all styles of music from the 60s and 70s. Very much needed a break after going through so much in 2000s. But 2010s, yeah I don't want to do it but have to be a team player and go for it. Whole lotta love is a higher high than anything on the debut, but no other song is as high for me as good times bad times, communication breakdown, dazed and confused, or babe I’m gonna leave you. Half of Zep 1 are classics while Zep 2 has 2 arguably 3 classics

Well awwwlright, guys. Another great video from Paul, Crystal, and Tommy Inc. .😁 BTW, I appreciate the extra time to finish 2010. I was certainly in danger of being a "no show" if that year was featured this week. A much-needed break. So anyways . . I am only a casual LZ fan. I appreciate them and their place in rock history but don't love 'em. A handful of their songs are absolute classics with Kashmir being my favorite. (Officially my fourth favorite song of 1975 🤓.) Physical Graffiti is my fave album by LZ, and honestly couldn't say much beyond that although I have certainly heard all their albums (except Coda) at least once. I see Led Zeppelin as the best example of "classic rock". Definitions vary but for me classic rock means hard rock from late 60s through the 70s - - and that is exactly the lifetime of LZ. Their sound as well epitomizes the classic rock sound. I really enjoyed the commentary here, guys. Of course, loved Tommy's passion and knowledge of the subject matter. Well done, Sir. Huzzah! 😀 Finally (a "Naughty Note"): I appreciate that you guys do not hold the fact of radio overplay of a song against the song itself. You get quite a bit on other channels. When I hear a host say "I never need to hear XXX again . ." I kind of wonder if they were ever really a fan of that particular song in the first place. Or, worse yet, perhaps they are betraying a hint of snobbery that a song they love is also loved by the masses . . . For me sometimes my favorite music is shared by many, sometimes not. I have no control over this and it doesn't effect my opinion in any way. Caveat: I get annoyed when a beloved song gets sold out to other media (movies, tv, games). but, again, I try not to allow this to effect my opinion. Okay Everyone. Till next time . . . NVG/Naughty, at your service. 😎

Well, it's a case-by-case thing, at least for me. Some songs/albums hit the wall, some don't. I'm not going to suddenly claim a song is no longer good because of popularity or overexposure, but these lists are about our thoughts, feelings and perceptions of the material. Overexposure may not suddenly render a song shitty but it can definitely color our perception or enjoyment of it. I used to LOVE Bohemian Rhapsody and it would've ranked very high on a list, but now I have no interest in ever listening to it again. Totally over it. Is it now a bad song? Nope, good as it ever was, but my enjoyment has plummeted, therefore it would now rank much lower. That's basically where I stand on that.

Nobody can be serious if they dismiss half of Led Zeppelin III because it is “too acoustic” Personally I never even noticed this about that album until I heard people complaining about it. They are all just cracking songs. Then you say that In Through the Out Door is a great album. It opens fairly promisingly with In the Evening (although it is still a much weaker opener than Custard Pie) but then it is all downhill from there. Carouselambra is just dreadful; John Paul Jones finding the most hideous sound his new keyboard toy could make and droning on and on with it. Fool in the Rain sound like they had a half hearted idea for what might have been a not bad song but lost faith in it halfway through the recording. You can almost hear Robert Plant nodding off to sleep whilst he is still singing. I have never ever got through that album without feeling it was an awful way to end a recording career. Presence is the weakest of the Led Zeppelin album I would still listen to but In Through the Out Door was clearly made for the American market, where it sold astonishingly well. In the U.K. if John Bonham’s death hadn’t precipitated the end of the band, most people thought that they were finished anyway, based on that horrible album.

Houses Of The Holy might be a chore for me to get through, actually. Not because of the Crunge, but because of friggin' D'Yer M'Aker, however way you spell that. Ugh. Sorry. Never liked that one.

Not a massive fan of Zep, although I do like some of their songs. Too much plagiarism and stuff from the band for me. I do know that I thought it was ridiculous that TLM (Jason, Joe and Kram) all championed and criminally overrated In Through the Out Door and gave it five stars even tho it’s objectively not a good album. The synth absolutely ruins it, and it doesn’t even sound like it’s connected to the songs in any regard. Carouselambra is an absolute mess of a song, and Hot Dog is terrible! lol Anyway, my ranking hehe: 1. Led Zeppelin III (1970) *only marred by Hats Off to Roy Harper, which is godawful and the worst song in their catalogue. 2. Led Zeppelin IV (1971) 3. Physical Graffiti (1975) *Dyer Maker sucks 4. Houses of the Holy (1973) *The Crunge sucks 5. Led Zeppelin II (1969) 6. Led Zeppelin I (1969) 7. Presence (1976) 8. In Through the Out Door (1979) 9. Coda (1982)

WTF are you blathering about? WE ALL chose bad albums Why single me out and say I’m not a fan? How many times did you see them live?

@@djcrystalclear8169 I love you ,I watch all the videos you guys do. All 3 of you ranked presence the same which is a matter of preference, but I think you were the only one that said it sucked . How can Achilles heel suck? It’s epic zeppelin . I saw zeppelin coincidentally on the presence tour in 77. Madison Square Garden it was in June . I was 10. Anyway, sending love ❤️

@@reubensane5539 “Sending love”? No. You absolutely are not. Stop attempting to gaslight me with that bullshit. I think it sucks, that’s MY OPINION. Your opinion is that it doesn’t. So what? How DARE you say I’m not a fan - I saw them 10 times, despite their misogyny and other shit. You can block me now.
