The eagles couldn't just fly them in because Sauron would see them coming a mile away and stop any chance of them getting anywhere near close enough to destroy the ring. In Die Hard 2, if Mrs McCain had handed her phone to the pilot, it would have ended much quicker. Sauron in LOTR shows up at the end of the story with the scouring of the shire, it's when Pippin and Merry use their skills learnt from being with the Rohirrim and Gondor to organise the rebellion against the men who've taken control of the shire, definitely a coming of age for those two. Sadly, they decided not to go down that route.

Great video. My thoughts on the Titanic were that Rose always intended on keeping the diamond until her dying day not knowing she'd ever have a chance to throw it into the exact resting place of Jack and the Titanic. It was a once in a lifetime chance to drop it in memory of Jack and she was now on her death bed so she no longer needed to hold onto it. I also think the reason Jack was more special to her than her long time husband is because Jack gave his life to save her something her husband probably never did, also she would have never met her husband or had a family if it wasn't for Jack saving her to begin with. Just my thoughts on it.

Also, what I meant by the exorcist as an example is that people as outsiders who are not Catholics or Christians will view it as, why should I believe if people still get possessed or go crazy/may seem like a lot of nonsense to atheists or even Christians as a lot of our believes conflict with Catholicism today. The exorcist shows how blood religious believes are because like I said at the end of the day they’re all still human beliefs. That’s not my take from the exorcist, but I can and do understand how an atheist or some Christians view it as, you’re in the wrong religion, you’re on the wrong side, you’re all just crazy. As per the it movies, I do agree that the original 1990 version was done better. At least they told the story, the ending was a lot more traumatic and made more sense, as in chapter 2 of the remake left a lot out of how it ended, in the original it movie, the bike made a lot more sense and had more relevancy because of the wife character in the new one the bike doesn’t really hold too much significance as there was hardly no development. It should’ve mattered, quite unfortunate for the new one/remake.

As for the dark Knight, I’m in the camp that believe tropic thunder should have took home a lot of the awards that year, I did love Heath ledger‘s interpretation of a great antagonist against the new or what was once new dark Knight, Nolan creation, but I didn’t care For him as the joker at all, yeah the dark Knight didn’t have the epic ending at the last three minutes of that movie I would not have liked it at all. The dark Knight had a big story, good story, sometimes I think when they bring the Characters to movies we get lost in translation when it comes to if we should have certain character development brought from the comic books or if we should have original aspects in this adaptation of the movie which can bring something new, I think he ledger hit on something new, but it should not have been the joker, I guess my interpretation of the joker of course was Jack Nicholson‘s even though I grew up with the Adam West Cesar Romero’s joker, Jack brought it to a dark and creepy level at the same time. It was fun, he made me laugh and you can tell he really enjoyed doing the role as, disturbed as his character was in the original Batman 1989. The ledger interpretation was smart, he was not a madman, he knew how and what to do to bring somebody to their knees, including the dark Knight, introducing his version of chaos and mind conditioning Was not how I saw the Joker ever, still don’t, Mark Hamill took what Jack did to the next level in the app animated series series, and made it even more fun to be psychotic, if that sounds even crazier than crazy, he ledger was too straight Madman/not madman, he acted like a madman, but did not display the ax of one as everything he did was done calculated and intelligently to get what he wanted from just about everyone he worked with, from the mob bosses, to the crazy people in the mental mental institutions, and of course Harvey and Batman, I did not laugh once at anything he did. It was too stiff for me to smile at, his character was very serious, maybe that’s why they threw that line in, why so serious, to take away the fact that he was very seriousfor a joker character. In the word of Forrest Gump, that’s all I have to say about that.

I think Ledger went for a more realistic take on the Joker than anything before...I grew up with the same versions of Joker that you did so to see an actor bring Joker to life in a realistic way just brought something I had never seen before...the 1 funny moment I think of for him is when he is walking away from the hospital in teh nurse's outfit and how he reacts when the hospital doesnt blow up all the way and then he has to re hit the remote detenator

Yes Halloween 3 is a Halloween-themed movie, but it's really not part of the franchise with Michael Myers as the villain. It should just be enjoyed as a stand-alone horror movie. I totally agree with IT Chapter 2 being sucky (like the second half of the series version) because the book's ending is sucky. If you watch The Outsider miniseries (also written by King) it really is a rehash of the second part of IT, except the shapeshifting creature is (spoiler alert) a Wendigo, but the story is basically adult facing/hunting the child-killing creature that returns after intervals of a number of years (just like the gang does when they're all grown up hunting Pennywise the Dancing Clown in Derry, but character-driven and no CGI nonsense).

I love the godfather, it's probably one of my all time favorites, however I don't believe it's "perfect". However I have watched plenty movies I would have really loved or liked if there were some things that were done differently or changed. For example I watched Someone To Watch Over Me for the first time back in may and that movie would have easily been an 8/10 for me if it wasn't for the ending. I was so mad, I probably won't ever buy a copy of that movie unless I saw it out in the wild for super cheap and I probably won't ever watch it again. I think that do interpretation of how an outsider can perceive Christianity from movies like the witch can be interpreted as people just not having the strength to hold onto what they believe anymore. The witch has even other movies like the exorcist as an example is an an understanding of how much we’re willing to let go and keep moving forward with things that are structured in our Christian believes, will we accept these people? Will we accept those people, transgender, lesbians, prejudice, just about anybody who has an extreme belief that everybody should accept them, no matter what. what I mean by this is as Christians, we attempt to forget that whether your Catholic Jewish or an atheist, at the end of everything that we have, we are all still very imperfect individuals, the Democrats the Republicans all still human beings one sees the other side is evil another sees the other side is evil and at the end of the day if we can’t figure out that Christian Catholics Mormons, we have too much conditions that separate us, if we can’t figure out how to drop the things that we need to let go, we will forever be at war with each other Christians don’t like other Christians, are you Pentecostal, are you non-denominational, the list goes on, but this movie makes a good point for me. Christians may not like it, but sometimes you’ve been ask Christians. We have to put ourselves on the fire. We also must judge ourselves our religion, or belief in a better term is still meant to move forward and progress, not adopting things that damage our society just so we can make nice with everybody for the moment. I mean making peace/an artificial offering what we like to call nice can cost us everything in the end. Everybody alive today is included in this statement. You have a place when you’re young figure it out, focus on one or two things become great at them, and understand, we cannot have it all some of the greatest things that we can accomplish. Are those one or two things that we focus on for the rest of our lives help your children understand who they are what the world is and do not deny them the darkness that they will not be able to handle when they’re older, sheltering kids today too much has led to what we have now teach children not to be victims when they’re young, help them understand the consequences and accountability of their actions as children, it may not be liked, but when they’re ready and older to phase life they will be more prepared to understand when things don’t always go their way. 34:41

I would argue if you want to make the statement you are talking about, that is fine BUT, take the relgious aspect out of it and it is still saying that murder and materialism for one's own gain are great and are glorified and are rewarded and that message isnt good no matter what your faith is!

@@AVAPopCulture I 100% agree with your statement, but a nice stress BUTT, just a little humor well at least for me, I still believe that movies like this are appropriate example of showing each other that we’re all capable Christians atheists and alike being guilty of the same evils that we fail to accept or understand when we’re young, the Vietnam war, sent millions of children to die, this Christian country sent millions of children to die, we ask Christians need to strive for more and see our own shortcomings.

I agree with you about The Dark Knight. Maggie Gyllenhall's performance is terrible. Between her and Katie Holmes, horrible choices for women. The original Batman with Kim Basinger, Michelle Pfeiffer in Returns and even Kidman in Forever blows them away. Christian Bale is the better Batman. Keaton took a backseat to Nicholson's performance. Probably should have been called Laugh of the Joker, he stole the show. Bale and Ledger were equally impressive.

At 9:40 Going back to what u were saying about Suspiria at 6:12 that 12 year olds and 20 year olds dont act the same, ehm, yes they do and with 5 words I can summarize that they do - W-o-m-e-n. Women then at that period but women even worse today are so ungrateful what they have or what did have, but lost it when commiting adultery. Later when confronted with their selfish behaviour they get defensive, blaming the men that they were not there for them and when the men threaten to leave their women, they beg to not leave them. Women are adult babies that dont take any accountabilty for their actions. They want 1 man to provide for them but another man to have on the side for the action bit, 1 man is not enough because they find the provider as "boring" and want the bad boy, in this case Jack. This movie doesnt blame the woman (wanted to write another 5 letter word to discribe her) but making the husband the villian when confronting her...buuuu! Never liked Titantic and never will. I like J C before 89 but after that he became is kind of a malefeminist. Just look at Sarah Connor raising John Connor on her own before going to the mental instituation, what becomes of John Connor - A criminnal. Single mothers have more criminial children than 2 parent household, because the Man/father dont let their children get away with crimes and the man/father punishes their children by talking to them strictly, women dont have that logic and just let their children do what ever they want. Yes I like T2 for the action but not for the feminist agenda it has like when Sarah saying the Terminator is not like the would be fathers who came and went, I understand that Kyle died before John was even born, and the Terminator is gonng be this new step father for John. No man wants to take care of another woman´s child that isnt theirs but women tend to leave a good man/husband but later on regret their stupid decision, because of feminism is telling women that they need "no" man. is your tree Sarah, u are siting on it, deal w your bad decision. Women are so easly impressionable because they go by emotions and not logic. If women just stayed in their homes and not going work (at least not to authority work places), the woldd would be a better place but now women run many institutions and all hell brakes loose. Im totally with u on Titantic issue regarding Rose, besides she is fat and ugly in my opinion :D A goodlooking high value woman doesnt do this, I know some women who are still w their husbands and they really are stunning. Look also how ungrateful she is to Jack in the water w the whole wooden board thing, women back stabb men no matter what. MGTOW all the way for me atleast. Watch Alexander Grace´s new video from today 23 august 2024 about a woman being selfish in the title: "Every man...", u gonna see what im talking about. Sorry for the long rant.

I don’t even know where to start with your critique of The Witch. What you’re saying is that you dislike the fundamental thesis of the movie. That given extremism, Christianity imposed on somebody can be a bad thing. If you have a problem with that that’s your opinion and I understand. But if you disagree with the movie on such a base level I don’t understand how you can find it anywhere “near perfect.” You like it because it’s dark then? Doesn’t make sense.

The Witch is a masterpiece… Christianity and catholicism as a mass religion have consistently degraded and subjugated women. This is a response to that ideology…. She gravitates to the Devil at the end because she can be herself and she is not being oppressed. This is a statement on religion and the human hypocrisy that drives big religion. You can have faith and I respect you for that belief but organized religion is a cauldron of men seeking power and worship and they don’t deserve any faith or devotion. The past is the guide and it is proven over and over again… Religion is not truth and The Witch is a dark allegory to that belief.
@AVAPopCulture
@AVAPopCulture 2 ай бұрын
where was the organized religion in this movie? this family was completely isolated...that kind of takes away that arguement I would think...as a person of faith who has also studied and taught history, I agree that organziations that control it are fallable and have themselves been the cause of bad things due to their reach to "do it their way and to do it what they deem to be the right way" - but that is literally true of anything, and I mean ANYTHING that involves human beings because human beings are fallable, corruptable, and imperefect -BUT that is the people themselves and not the faith or relgion itself that is causing that problem and also underlines the need for faith -to be forgiven for those mistakes....

AI had the answers - this will make nitpickers MAD - mic drop: Sauron’s Defenses: Sauron had control over the skies of Mordor, with numerous flying creatures like the Nazgûl on their Fellbeasts patrolling the area. The Eagles would have faced significant danger and likely been intercepted, Sauron / ring - had to be defeated to clear the skies - unless you wanted a black hawk down - literally. The Eagles’ Autonomy: The Eagles are sentient beings with their own will and priorities. They are not simply at the beck and call of the characters in the story. They help when they choose to, often in dire situations, but they are not a taxi service (damn, that's a scorpion kick to the nitpicker's FACE, ooof). Stealth and Secrecy: The mission to destroy the One Ring required utmost secrecy. Flying directly into Mordor would have drawn too much attention. The Fellowship needed to avoid detection to ensure the Ring could be destroyed (common sense, actually). Physical Limitations: Even the Great Eagles have their limits. The journey to Mordor is long and arduous, and carrying someone all the way there would have been extremely taxing (logistics - eff that, I bend the narrative to fit my nitpick).
