I’m not sure why everyone is freaking out about Judge at 1. Marc is clearly ranking this without factoring in Ohtani’s pitching (I don’t know why, seems like he will pitch). I like Judge and he's a great hitter but has no speed, only 10 stolen bases and an average outfielder (never won a gold glove) while Ohtani is almost equal to Judge in offense (you look at their stats Shohei is the only one that came close to Judge in offense including homeruns had 54 HRs) and Ohtani also had 59 SBs, and he will be pitching next season. If Shohei wins 10 to 15 games and hits over 40 to 50 HRs and has over 30 SBs then their is no player ever in the history of baseball better then Shohei Ohtani (I say that because I played baseball through college and it's not even a debate who the best player is).

No Ohtani is better. Although judge had a better hitting season Ohtani stole more bases since he couldn’t pitch. Also Marc put acuna on the list and he didn’t even play so he was ranking based off of talent going into 2025. Ohtani is going to pitch in 2025 and hit and judges defense is average at best and Ohtani pitches hits and steals bases. He’s miles better than judge

Judge is a great batter but that's all he has to offer. Ohtani is a legitimate Triple threat player, (Batter, pitcher, base stealer) quadruple threat even maybe if you count him being the most popular player in the game. Maybe ever at this rate...so if he isn't by far the best player on this list somethings wrong.

Chris Sale in at 31??? That's criminally dissing him, Marc, and you know it. In fact, all I need to do is go to where you're going through his litany of achievements to see that you refute your own ranking! As for Corbin Burnes, I wish you and others would give his "K rate went down" mantra. It's irrelevant when you think about it more carefully. If it was a real concern, he wouldn't be the top free agent pitcher, and was so even before Blake Snell and Max Fried signed. His pitch mix is so elite that he can induce weak contact with consistency. Oh, and who's to say that his strikeout rate doesn't bounce back, since he's only 30 and has had a relatively injury-free career, it just as easy to say the down seasons constitute a statistical anomaly and nothing more. Of course, if the Orioles don't sign him, it will all be moot to me, provided he doesn't sign with an AL East team.
