I recently started Lost Judgment, and everything seems much more improved from Judgment. Just thought I'd get my thoughts out because if I talked about this stuff with my family they'd bully me relentlessly. Also, side note, I'M SO FUCKING HYPED FOR YAKUZA 8!

Your pronunciation of "Yakuza" is more in tune with the actual Japanese pronunciation than the English "yah-kooo-zah"

I play the series on PC and have played all the main games from 0 through to and including Like a Dragon. I finished Judgment over the weekend and started Lost Judgment on Monday. I can see Lost Judgment taking me a while because it feels already like there's a huge amount of content, but once complete will be going from there straight into Gaiden and I suspect Infinite Wealth will be out well before I'm finished with Gaiden, so I guess will be heading straight into that at some point in maybe Spring 2024. I love the series, but they are real time sinks!

BTW you need to play Yakuza Dead Souls, Kenzan and the 2 psp games. Dead Souls got released on the west so no problem to play. Kenzan got a fan translation it’s difficult to play it with emulator. The PSP games also got a fan translate and psp emulation is very easy.

Kiwami 1 and 2 are my least favorites and a big part of that is that those games are sloppily put together, but they’re low budget remakes.

I started the series last christmast, now I own both judgement and lost judgement and 7 Yakuza game. I haven't played Yakuza 7. My on criticism is Yakuza Kiwami being boring as hell , Nishiki's story arc was better，but everything story wise and the cutscenes were just flat out bad. I like Kiwami 2 but I hte the dumb ending, every element builds up to the ending was s tier, but my brain melted away when they decides to kiss on the tower, while looking at Thier child in the chopper.
