UCN has got to be one of the most well balanced games out there. The roster is HUGE and yet every character has a meaningful part to play and they all synergize so well. I'm happy to see you doing a tier list video and I'd love to see more!

@@indyzac Rockstar Bonnie can only show up at certain time intervals, so if you pay attention to that he's not so bad. Toy Freddy works similar. Also, even if Rockstar Bonnie shows up I mostly just rely on gitting gut.

Nightmarionne, imo, is one that REALLY scales with how high his difficulty is set. On lower levels hes super easy to avoid, but he can materialize in less than a second on level 20, and he can be especially dreadful when paired with animatronics like phone guy and helpy. Edit: Phantom Freddy is often much more annoying on nights with a lot of animatronics active. He can force you to use a lot of power on him to make him go away, which is important because him jumpscaring you results in vent animatronics being able to get in the office, which is VERY dangerous when your office stalling. Edit: Ballora and Nightmare (Fredbear) are WAY different imo. Ballora requires you to act VERY fast, and figure out which door she's in. The two nightmares not only wait for your camera to go up before leaving, but you can see their eyes in the door, so if you miss the laugh, you can still see their face. Additionally, for some fucking reason, Scott decided to make the lights flicker when Ballora is close, which is a major pain in the ass if your trying to go as long as possible without fixing ventilation, as she makes it harder to track the opacity of the screen. (Funtime Chica also gets much more annoying for a similar reason) Edit: Phantom Mangle can actually be a bit annoying not just due to her sound, but she also flips the camera down when she activates. If you are about to close the camera as she pulls it down, you might accidentially reactivate the camera, which can get you killed by certain animatronics such as Nightmare BB and Scrap Baby. In general I notice this tier list is taking a lot more into account of the intended way to deal with characters rather then the 50/20 strategy, which is pretty interesting.

In fact, the time it takes for nightmarionne to fully materialize on level 20 is about the same amount of time it takes for the average human reaction time(about 0.2 seconds) meaning that if you aren’t already moving your mouse you will die

To the fact that you put Bonnie in Managable, you can simply check the figurine on the desk to see if he's there. So if you just switch cameras before Bonnie is the figurine, then you will never get attacked by him. Edit: Yes, now I do know that he mentions it in the video. I just didn't listen to the whole thing. Also, yes, that does make Foxy always active.

The one I struggled with and died to the most was ballora. She’s inherently easy, but as I was working up to 50/20 I was so focused on everything else and even with pretty quality headphones she just easily became background noise to every other distaraction

I hope that you know that if you put the audio lure in one exact spot Happy Frog, Mr Hippo and Pig Patch can never kill you. So Nedd Bear and Orville are really the only hard parts. Which in modes were you don't have to check the camera often you can just use the heater when ever it's up for them.

As a UCN mobile player Nightmarionne is way more of a problem on mobile because on mobile they’re triggered by what position the camera is in. I could also imagine them combined with OMC being a big issue because tapping the box to catch the fish also moves the camera so you have to very quickly tap on the other side of the screen if Nightmarionne is where the camera is headed

While I mostly agree, I just have a few things that I disagree with here. 1. Happy Frog, Mr. Hippo, and Pigpatch can all go in that bottom tier. One click in the right spot guarantees that they won't get you and then you can leave. Orville and Neddbear can go one above that bottom, as they require the heater to push them back a little. 2. The thing about BB and JJ is that even if they get inside, you can sit in the office and wait for them to leave, which may be time consuming, but it guarantees safety. By waiting, no one can actually kill you until you pull up the camera, except for Ballora. So while I agree she is pretty easy, she could be slightly higher, only because of this pairing of Ballora and JJ (who by the way could drop a tier because I personally ALWAYS shut that side vent by habit and barely have to deal with them) 3. So, El Chip isn't terrible, but if he's on 20, he has a chance to appear EVERY 10 SECONDS. Again, not terrible, BUT, pair that with Old Man Consequences and Phone, who also both appear at around the same time, then you have an entire mess of these distractions at once. So if anything, I'd move El Chip up with Phone Guy 4. One last thing just to not have this comment be a bazillion light years long, I personally feel like Trash and the Gang could be bumped up a tier. Not because #1 Crate's jumpscare is a problem, but because of that god damn balloon. Most the time, it shows up on a camera that isn't an issue. But if that balloon shows up on Toy Freddy's camera, then you're going to have to refresh the camera, which causes a lot of problems on it's own (Nightmare BB, Bonnie and Foxy could switch, Scrap Baby, etc.) This is the main problem, although it could potentially be bad on the prize corner camera if you're trying to buy a plush and don't know where it is. Despite all of this, I still agree with that placement.

Actually for lefty, she goes through multiple stages before she attacks and the only way to push her back is by using the global music box. The reason you haven’t died to her probably is because it’s tied along with the marionette

I completely agree with Foxy being on Dreadful. You NEED to check on him often because if you slip up, he leaves. And when he leaves, your run is pretty much over unless you manage to get 6 AM before he manages to get all parts in. EDIT: He put him back on hard 👁👄👁

Foxy isn't as bad as you think. On easier difficulties, you'll have time to check him, and you don't need to stay on his camera for very long. He also can't do anything when the Bonnie figure is on the desk since Bonnie is in cove instead. Foxy is still hard, especially at high difficulties with a lot of other characters active, but he isn't as threatening as some other characters.

Interesting list! The only one I disagree with is the puppet being the hardest since he's stuck on one camera and gets affected by the Global Music Box (which also shuts down lefte and fnaf 1 chica). The fact R.Bonnie forces you to look around, T.Freddy forces you to look around mid camera, and Funtime foxy you HAVE to be on his camera at the EXACT time makes them 10x worse imo A quick note about the Mediocre Melodies: Orville (edit: and Nedbear) has the highest chance of ignoring the audio lure, so even with that if your RNG is bad, they can still kill you if you dont use the heater

For the plushie ones, you can keep your camera on the one on the bottom right and they can never kill you. Camera stalling is really useful.

As someone who’s beaten 50/20 mode almost 20 times, here’s my personal ranking of all the animatronics (when playing the main 50/20 strat): S tier - The worst of the worst, the animatronics that will be responsible for 90% of your deaths and resets: Toy Freddy, Foxy, Rockstar Bonnie, Funtime Foxy, Nightmarrione, and XOR/Shadow Dee Dee (only because if she doesn’t spawn early enough then your run is screwed) These Animatronics cause the biggest struggle when trying to beat 50/20, and are the pretty much the 6 biggest ones that stop you from beating it most runs (mainly Toy Freddy, Foxy, and Xor). Even if you’re a god at strategy and have mastered it down, Toy Freddy, Foxy, and XOR can still screw you over with bad luck whenever they feel like it. With the others there are at least things you can do to stop them (Funtime Foxy-buy the deathcoin; Nightmarionne-become coordinated and swift with your mouse; Rockstar Bonnie-spawns very rarely, and seems to have a chance at coming once every 13 seconds, so if you avoid those time frames then you’re probably good to go) A Tier - Difficult: Marionette, Ballora, Chica, and Nightmare BB These are the other animatronics that are usually responsible for most of the other deaths in 50/20 that aren’t caused by the S tier animatronics. These characters may be hard to deal with at first, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes pretty routine and easy to take care of them. Marionette could be argued to be S Tier, but I personally don’t find the music box that challenging to be kept wound up. B Tier - Annoying, but not that bad: Jack-O-Chica, Orville, Ned Bear Like the other animatronics, these ones may be a little hard to deal with at first, but they are really easy to take care of once you get the muscle memory down. Funny enough, these are the 3 main animatronics that are affected by heat which are of any concern during 50/20. The heater can be a tricky mechanic to juggle along with maintaining power and keeping the music box wound up, but I find it the easiest of the 3 to take care of. (Jack-O-Chica could very arguably be A-tier though). C Tier - Average, some may be slightly annoying, but most will almost never will cause you problems: Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, BB, JJ, Withered Bonnie, Golden Freddy, Phantom Freddy, Phantom Mangle, Phantom BB, Nightmare Freddy, Nightmare Bonnie, Nightmare Fredbear, Nightmare, Nightmare Mangle, Old Man Consequences, Circus Baby, Helpy, Rockstar Freddy, Rockstar Chica, Music Man, El Chip, Scrap Baby, Afton, and Lefty These animatronics make up most of the basic gameplay where you’re closing doors, flipping up your mask, cam stalling, and whatever else. You may be wondering why Lefty and Music Man are in this tier, but because of the constant juggling of the music box and the power generator, neither of them ever cause a problem (sometimes Music Man may crash his cymbals a little, but it’s still easy to take care of. Lefty on the other hand literally never causes a problem) D Tier - Easy animatronics that take no brain power to manage (but can still kill you): Freddy, Mangle, Withered Chica, Springtrap, Ennard, Happy Frog, Mr. Hippo, Pigpatch, and Molten Freddy These animatronics are all this low because every time you go into your camera you automatically shut both your left door and your middle vent, so they literally can never kill you unless you screw up and forget to close the door or vent. F Tier - The easiest characters in the game: Bonnie, Trash and the Gang, Rockstar Foxy, Funtime Chica, Phone Guy These speak for themselves, the easiest animatronics to take care of plus they can’t kill you. So ya that was my tier list of all the Ultimate Custom Night characters (based on the main 50/20 strategy). Let me know what you think or if you have any questions about certain characters.

@@pichujiggs153 you want XOR to spawn as early as possible, either at the 10-20 second mark so that way when you deathcoin Funtime Foxy you can also get rid of plushtrap. If plushtrap comes to late, it throws off the whole strat and makes the night much more complicated and difficult

Funny how from a 50/20 perspective, things are quite different. I'd definitely put Toy Freddy and Foxy at the top, as they are the only two animatronics for which you HAVE to rely on luck. If it weren't for them, you could actually beat 50/20 somewhat consistently. Instead, you have to just pray that they will leave you alone thoughout the whole night. On the other hand, some "problem" animatronics like the plushies and Baby become trivial with stall strats. I'd also bump up Nightmare BB cause he's a pain in the ass just in general.

I’m Deaf and I’ve been around the fnaf world since the first game but have never played any myself because I can’t process the audio cues, but I enjoy watching others play it and the story really interests me etc UCN would be so funny from my perspective. @@cordyceps7531 you could probably beat the first 3 games without sound. It would be harder 100%, but I can’t think of a moment in any of those games where you 100% NEED sound. The fnaf games that require you to hear sounds are the later games

@@NoScopingRedPikmin FNAF 1 has Freddy’s laughter in later nights which you need to know when to start shutting the door on him. Springtrap meanwhile can crawl in the vents at any given moment and jumpscare you quickly. You won’t really know when to switch to the vent cams unless you hear it.

@@cordyceps7531 fnaf1 can be solved by either closing the right door every time you flip the camera up, or just keeping your camera on the right side corner so he can never progress into the office. fnaf3, on the other hand... yea the vents probably make that really difficult if you can't hear the sound cue :/

I’d argue that Rockstar Chica is one of the easier animatronics to deal with. What I do is keep the sign on the left till she appears on the right, put the sign on the right and wait for her to disappear, switch it back to left, this helps with camera stalling the plush animatronics

Characters like G. Freddy, PBB, P. Mangle, N. Chica, OMC, and scrap trap, I quite enjoy how Scott balanced them. Rather than characters like R. Bonnie, the nightmare bros, etc, they are "don't slip up" style characters: they have very simple and easy to do mechanics to get them to leave, but if you make one small mistake, rather it be because you get overwhelmed, or misclick, they can cause dire problems

Well, the thing is that Nightmarionne can be easily avoided. Keep your cursor on the far left, but not at the top or bottom, and he will never appear. However, I can agree a little mainly because if you're going to click on Helpy or Scrap Baby or Phone Guy, you have got to be FAST, especially on 20 difficulty, and I personally cannot click so fast so I sometimes have to wait for him to fully vanish.

@Flandre In my opinion, Nightmarionne is kind of in the middle. He's easy to deal with, but he's a constant threat throughout the entire night, unlike a lot of the characters in UCN. Going to click on certain characters, like Helpy or Scrap Baby, or even putting on the mask could be enough to agitate Nightmarionne or end your run.

For BB, you can just close the vent immediately after closing the monitor. And for NM Mangle, NM Bonnie, Baby, & Lefty, you can keep the monitor stuck on cam 02 (cam 01 for lefty) without looking at the cam to stall them.

You only have to set the audio lure once to block Hippo, Happy Frog, and Pigpatch, so they should go in the bottom tier. Nedd Bear also has a fairly low chance to escape, so he should probably go in Not So Bad. Orville's well placed though, he's annoying AF.

Mr hippo pig patch and happy frog should be no problem. If you stick the audio lure in the middle left of the ducts, there is nothing that they can do to escape it. Same with the plushies. Literally just stay on cam 2. You don’t even need to be on the cams. Just be on cams system and be on cams 2.

For lefty: you need io keep the noise and heat down like you said but he will appear in the parts and service room when it is too loud/hot and im gonna guess that you cant stop him with the door since it takes a long time for him to appear and then even after that it takes a bit for him to like wake up

Lefty gets aggrevated due to noise or heat but even you have these problems he is easily dealt with via the global music box and has a bunch of stages he goes through when angered before he jumpscares you. Jack o' chica requires you to close both doors if the room gets hot but if the room is really really hot she will kill you anyways. Either way neither of these are ever really a big problem.

note: the plushie animatronics can be camera stalled, which is leaving your camera on the right hallway, bonnie literally makes foxy easier to deal with, and a lot of the door/vent animatronics can be avoided by closing them right before you flip up your camera.

I have a question Why is el chip at the bottom and lolbit higher? She essentially does the same thing but worse. When she "covers" the screen she barely covers it at all. It's like 1/4 of the screen compared to el chip which is a full screen blocker. I guess maybe typing lol is a little harder than either pressing enter or clicking the skip ad, but her penalty is almost nothing.

He also burned with everybody in SL, and William is already in the game, plus the ads and nightmare animatronics would make sense with how Michael was conditioned by William in FNAF 4 to test his illusion tech. I'm a very below average level FNAF gamer so I haven't beat this game, my high score is 8000 points. Since I don't play with all the characters active, the plushie animatronics aren't a threat because I use that trick with the camera stuck to the right side hallway. Also, BB and JJ don't bother me because at 20 they're _always_ there in the vent when I close the monitor so I open and close it automatically. UCN is a great game, so many characters and different opinions between players. One of my favorite games in the franchise for sure.

Personally the hardest 3 for me have to be foxy, Funtime foxy, and rockstar Bonnie. Rockstar Bonnie is a no-brainer for me as if you’re in 50/20 if you don’t death coin him it pretty much just spells doom as you have to drop everything to find it. Similar to him is Funtime foxy where you have to drop everything at a specific time just to look at a camera and it can just outright kill you it times without you being able to do anything about it. Puppet would be in the Not so Bad tier for me as the global music box which is required to push back lefty so it’s pretty easy for me atleast.

The problem with ranking UCN characters is that a lot of then can be easily avoided. Want to deal with all the vent animatronics? Just press W before opening the cameras. Want to deal with Duct animatronics? Just use the Heater before opening the cameras. Want to erase Plush animatronics from existance? Just stuck thr cameras in Cam 2. Want to deal with Foxy? Cry, because he'll be your worst enemy in 50/20.
