Nice video! Just to let you know , the CBS Arena isnt on the outskirts of the city centre. Its 3 and a half miles away. The old ground (Highfield road) was on the outskirts 👍

Oh sorry about that. I must have got slightly disorientated then. I remember going to Highfield Road to watch Villa sadly lose 3-0 on Boxing Day 1992. Micky Quinn was unplayable that day. Thanks for watching my video. 👍

Hi Ian, I took those as Staffordshire along with Burton Albion, so they’d be a different video for the future.

Thanks for watching. I hope Blues get promoted as they have a lot of heritage and this they should be proud of, and as you say were the last WEST Midlands side to win something, Leicester may have something to say about the other side of the Midlands though! Other clubs had statues and something to see around the ground. I hope those are part of the plans for your new ground as increasingly grounds are becoming venues to visit and enjoy walking round. Wolves for example had 3 statues to see and were visibly proud of their past. Who would you want to see a statue of or a display of a particular era of one of your sides?

Well, thank you for watching anyway even if you don't agree. I hope all West Midlands clubs look to improve all of their grounds and make the area something that we can all be proud of. I recently visited all the 10 Yorkshire football clubs and some of their grounds like Hull City, Leeds United, Huddersfield Town, etc. were great to walk round even on non-match days. Displays of previous great teams, statues of club heroes, blue plaques of moments to remember, displays of community involvement etc.. all make grounds locations to visit. Doncaster Rovers in particular had much of this when I went round the Yorkshire ones and I have no perceived bias around those clubs.

Haha, there are so many great things about Birmingham as an area and we should all be proud of the city as a whole. Good luck this season! Thanks for watching.
