I watched the All 22 against KState so I know what he is talking about when he references drifting. My rebuttal to that is I followed that tape up by watching the Arizona all 22 film. In that game it was a clear improvement in his drops. If Shedeur was drastically bad with this every game I would agree with Dane Brugler but, when you turn on the tape you see improvements in this area. The only argument you can have is the defenses he is playing. Shedeur's main weakness is him holding on to the ball too long but, we have seen QBs get better with this over time like Geno Smith who Shedeur has been compared to. In a timing offense I think Shedeur would really excel. Shedeur might not have an elite arm but, he has a good one. I have seen Shedeur make all the pre-requisite throws. I have seen him throw from hash to hash, I have seen him throw 50 yard passes, I have seen him fit the ball in tight windows etc. He makes all the throws necessary to play to at the next level. Shedeur in his playing career never really had an offensive guru. Nussmeier has Brian Kelly, Milroe has Deboer, Ward had GJ Kinne, Jack Dickert etc. The best offensive coordinator Shedeur has had is the one he has now which is Pat Shurmur. Shedeur has done a lot in a difficult situation. If you put Shedeur in a better situation I believe he would flourish. Shedeur to me is very similar to Geno Smith and, I believe he has Matt Ryan type arm strength. Shedeur has the intangibles to be a better pro than a college player.

3 picks by Nussmeier in his first game against a good defense that could make him uncomfortable. I'm shocked! Shocked I say. Things being said about Ward were exactly the same thing they said about Mahomes and Allen and tbf other qbs that did bust. Its a risk reward. But fact remains if you dont have a qb, you cant win. Ward doesnt have that level of arm talent but its good, and he can throw with all the arm angles and off platform. However what he has that they never had was pre snap recognition and poise. The only qb to me with that besides him is Sanders, and both have the aura around them. Sanders aura is Cam Newton and Ward has that Mahomes/Brady type effect where game is on the line and you know he's going to make a play to win the game. You cant coach that.

This is the dumbest list I’ve seen. Beck is not an nfl quarterback. Milroe and Nussmeier have two of the best rosters in the country and Sanders has clearly outplayed both of them. Tua has led the league in passing on C-/D+ arm strength. Using that as ur only argument to put him as the 4th quarterback in his class is laughable. Shedeur and Cam Ward are the 2 best in this class then there is a significant gap.

One Shedeur arm strength is similar to Matt Ryan/ Joe Burrow. To me he is very similar to Geno Smith coming out of WVU. They both played in a wide open offense, both are natural throwers, both struggled with pocket presence in college so, I believe he can make improvements in that area. I disagree he processes fine, he is not as elite but, he is good. The issue is him tying his footwork in with his progressions. I also disagree about the elite coaching aspect. Nussmeier is with Brian Kelly, Milroe is with Deboer, Ward has been with GJ Kinne and, Jake Dickert. Shedeur has never had an offensive coordinator or QB coach of that caliber. Shedeur's best offensive coordinator is the one he has now which is Pat Shurmur. I believe in a timing offense Shedeur would excel. @@lucrative6477 How is it an insane comment? Shedeur doesn't have a noodle for arm. That's why Dane said Sheduer has a B level arm. An A level arm is like Pat Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Brett Farve etc. A noodle arm is like Kenny Pickett, etc. Shedeur doesn't have a weak arm, he doesn't have an elite one. I have seen Shedeur make throws consistently from hash to hash, I have consistently seen him be able to drop the ball between two defenders. Also I remember Geno Smith first seasons with the Jets. Geno struggled with blitz pickup and, recognition at WVU, so I guess you didn't watch him there. Three tell me who has been Shedeur's offensive coordinators and, how many QBs did they develop before Pat Shurmur, I'll wait. I watched Shedeur go through his reads, watched him throw people open. His main areas for concern is him holding the ball too long and, his pocket presence but, in a timing offense I believe he would flourish. Every QB in this discussion struggles against constant pressure and when they have zero running game, except one. Shedeur Sanders exists in that state constantly because he isn't playing on a loaded team with a great offensive line and elite RBs. If Sanders was so terrible against pressure he wouldn't have numbers at all because he's constantly under it. Also the back peddling is a result of two years of constant pressure with no running game. It's funny that folks can't see that. This is embarrassing and how guys like this just suck at picking QBs. Cam Ward is inaccurate, makes terrible decisions consistently and is doing so on a team that is measurably more talented than every team they've played. He's Quinton Ewers, destined to implode in the playoff against a defense that doesn't get dragged 5 yards by his running back. What Shedeur would be doing with his pocket presence/awareness, accuracy, and ability to process under pressure in the same situation as these other guys would be terrifying. 🤦

Sanders got sacked over 50 times last season. Thats not happening if your constantly taking the quick passes or dump offs. In college you can get away with it because its way easier to have an big play afterwards to keep the drive alive. In the NFL that tendency will get many drives killed. Also it will get him injured aswell.
