i think the anonymous general manager was acctually a good idea, but the ending messed it up, having comentators or even referees playing roles such as heels and babyface always was something i enjoyed for some reaeson, it always came with that extra thing like, its not only the guys on the ring but the ones right on their side also taking a role in storylines

Don't forget when Kurt was the GM of smackdown for a short period. Edit: Man Santi you are totally forgetting about the early 2000s. Mick Foley was great as the GM of Raw. I still get chills when he announces the first(and only) 6 man hell in the cell match. HBK was the commissioner of Raw in the 90s while out with the back injury.

I would agree on Angle being trash as an authority figure when he came back in 2016, but I think you're forgetting when he was commisioner of Smackdown before he left back in 2006. He was great in that role. Also, Mick Foley should not be in the MEH category. I'd put him in the Great category. He was absolutely hilarious with Edge, Christian, and Angle among many others with the gavel.
