06 How to Use Screaming Frog SEO Spider for Competitor Analysis

I am a self taught amatuer doing SEO for my own website with absolutely no academic background in computer etc.. Once again, its very informative. I read about image optimization and its true many websites simply let this part goes to waste as most people cant see whats in a file name anyway (so they thought). A little bit of read up on SEO prior to watching this video would achieve enlightenment.. I read a number of information and books on SEO over the years and I have never seen anyone going into so much depth in placing the importance on analyzing your competitor. At first I thought it was irrelevant and I only want to jump straight into optimizing my site but as the chinese sayings goes..know your enemy and the victory is yours.. how true... Thanks for the efforts mate!

Great Screaming Frog Primer Video, I wanted to ask how can I compare the actual Backlinks profile of each competitor one to the other - as looking at each competitor's backlinks profile on it's own is only half of the picture.

Alon Bilu yes you are absolutely correct, without doing a through footprint analysis, no competitor analysis can be complete. The main reason for this Alon is that this Complete #SEO #Training #Course is for beginners and since backlink analysis can be performed in many different ways II didn't want to overwhelm the viewer. Although those who are also reading this comment can simply #search #Google with "online backlinks analysis" I still prefer siteexplorer info for quick analysis although the site owner who created has sold it recently, so I don't know if the new owners will also maintain it. Hi, thank you for the great video. i have small question please, how can i know where out competitors are getting backlinks from other than via backlinkwatch.com/ as backlink watch only shows 1000 backlinks and not all the backlinks, thank you very much

This could be due to certain crawlers being blocked, or it could be something else I am not 100% sure, email me [e-mail] your domain URL and I'll double check from my end

It reveals broken code of HTML which requires fixing (hover your mouse over the red color warnings to reveal what the HTML issue is)

Because its true and definitely unneeded in terms of google rankings. The only tool you really need are Google Search Console, SEO Frog spider (is affordable compared to other tools) learn how to search Google (advanced operators) for example: site:rankya.com shows what google has on a site, cache:rankya.com will show cache, then you can begin using other advanced queries to find the information (analysis you need) as well as your knowledge as it expands will be able to just look at a website and see exactly what's needed for optimization
