Finally! A sailing couple that has great taste in music! Thank you!

Glad you like it! 🤗 It takes a lot of time to find music that fit well with the footage and gives the right feeling. Music can do so much!

@@RANSailing When those 60-knot-plus storms come, Wagner's "The Flying Dutchman" came to mind as Johan braved the wind to film a whitecap-churned harbor -- dramatic. Music creates the mood. I wonder what music might fits the May 2021 National Geographic pp 26-27 article of the south polar "iceberg alley" floating a giant iceberg -- as big as South Georgia Island -- nearly colliding with that island. Good thing Johan and Christian didn't encounter anything like that during their voyage there.

Imagine Vera, sitting with her grandchildren (on Mars?) showing these incredible vids showing the environment that she grow up in. Imagine if our parents could show us this kind of vids from the 50’s or 60’s. I know absolutely nothing regarding future. I am however, convinced that Vera can proudly show her childhood to the grandchildren❤️

Must have been the salt fog or some tin whiskers in the control data link -- one reason I at least conformal coat my electronics if they will be immersed. In every mishap, there is opportunity to recover: roboticsbiz.com/7-best-waterproof-drones-with-camera-in-2020/ Some of these swim as well as fly. Then if it crashes, one can practice crew overboard drills as John Crisp suggests. 😂

Correct indeed. The shots that the drone captured in Alaska were simply magnificent. As were the shots of Ran I when under sail. Johan and Malin made excellent use of that little (but expensive) piece of plastic.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful country and your lovely family with us! I love the historical information as you go along, those rocks were fascinating. F for Drone. It was an oldie but a goodie. Hope you were able to get a new one. Will tune in next week for sure
@dreamvideotelevision45403 жыл бұрын
The best part was the audio bleep, the worst part was loosing the drone in the sea with good footage on it. The silver lining is you can get a new drone with new features now ;) There may be something transmitting an interference signal on your boat when you are sailing and not while you are docked, or your drone was just broken and you needed a new one anyway. Do they make one that floats? You may be able to make some foam floats for a new one.

I saw a rig for flying a mini drone at sea on a different channel. They made a handle that stuck down from the bottom that allowed a one handed catch. the mount was made with carbon fiber and only weighed a few grams and was held in place with rubber bands.
@mason89973 жыл бұрын
You might want to contact DJI and send them the last pieces of telemetry that you received. Could have been a DJI issue especially if you had done a recent firmware update. I had a similar issue with my Air 2 flying erratically for no apparent reason. Finally had to send it in and have them fix the problem. The good news is that the Air 2S is available and it looks like a viable replacement. In the meantime the Mini ain't all that bad in a pinch either! And as far as drone pilots go you are one of the best out there.
