Just like to say what an excellent channel you have A few years ago I restored a 14 inch ransomes certes on mine the solid front roller runs on tapered cones at each end and has a oiler on one end The rear roller ratchet is a bit tricky to assemble as its full of ball bearings looking forward to the next episode Regards carlo valli

Hi, Thank you for the kind words. It sounds like you did a proper job of your 14" Certes if you stripped down the front roller as well. Yes the rear roller ratchets are warn, i think i may open one up to see if anything can be done. Thanks for watching.

I find, if a bearing moves on a shaft then gets stuck, it helps to drive the bearing back on and clean the way off with emery cloth and check for any tiny marks or damage and deal with them then the bearing comes off pretty easily.

Hi, Yes that works well. I did use a proper punch off camera and did come off ok, i did start rushing a bit at the end. Thanks for watching.

Another excellent video! Looking forward to the next one! (Perhaps two?) I have the exact same mower (Mk8) up for sale but have now decided to keep it and strip down etc. as per your example!! Hope you include the method to release the bottom blade from the blade carrier. Always a daunting job! Cheers, Colin. P.S. Did you have chance to look for a three point recoil for the Marquise please? Cheers!

Hi, Thank you, great to work on real quality. Yes i think there will be a few more video's on this machine. I don't blame you, if you sell it you will soon want another one! I did have a look for a spare Villiers 3 mounting recoil, sadly i don't but do have a spare 4 mounting Siba. Thanks for your comment.
