As a matter of fact, I am not interested in anything from the Murakami collection, however this foolery is insulting! I am so sicka LV and this circus. WE are the demographic who spend the most money at LV collectively, not the VICs, so how is it that their primary audience is not their primary interest?! Chile….don’t get me started on this mess! If I were interested in anything from the collection, I wouldn’t buy it after all this! We deserve consideration, respect and appreciation. LV clearly does not agree.

Can’t agree with you more, if LV wanted to limit the Murakami re-edition to their VIC’s they could have sent them a private direct email to take their orders. Not being up front about the VIC pre-order policy left a bad taste in my mouth. To have Zendaya flaunt the handbags in our faces with the marketing campaign for one month fully knowing that the VIC’s pre-orders exceeded stock was disappointing. Then LV has the balls to post the bags on the website with COMING SOON tags with no clear indication when online orders will be open. I visited two LV stores in the past month and neither allowed me to pre-order since I wasn’t a VIC. They told me to return to the store on launch date. I was at the store when they opened and then I’m informed that they don’t have any Murakami bags in the store. I was told to try to order online at 2PM. Well…tried to order online and kept getting error messages when trying to check out. This entire launch has taken too much wasted effort on my part. I’m not sure how I wish to proceed with any future purchases with LV.

In all my years of buying LV items I have never felt more unappreciated as a customer. The lack of information for general buyers was truly so disappointing. Everything you said was spot on! My SA took my money then messaged me later saying they can't get the item. Now I have to wait 7 days for my money back. Really ruined something that I was so excited for.

Well, I texted about 3 SAs when after the preorder time period and was told the collection was only for VICs and it was already all sold out. So I waited til the drop time, and same…website and app crashing and showing error messages. Extremely ridiculous and it really got me frustrated.

Too much drama- I was up at midnight EST and refreshing for hours until about 3, woke at 8 and still refreshed until it became available and like you I could add to cart but then my cart would be empty, then give an error, so that went on for a few hours and I gave up- I got a call from a CA from LV that had reached out to me the day before to see if I had wanted anything and he had a speedy for me that is being shipped. I am a every now and again LV shopper so I was grateful that he remembered me, especially after all the foolishness with the website. I live about an hour away from an LV store so I couldn’t just go today to see if they had stock. I even tried calling client services but the wait was 1 hour.

The whole thing was wild. It went live at 6am my time and immediately said sold out. Tried calling and was on hold for about 3 hour’s total only to get hung up on every time. Randomly was able to add the Romy card case to my cart and check out. Will see if I actually get it

yeah if you weren't a celebrity/high profile famous influencer or "VIP" (which I definitely am not lol) you didn't stand a chance. plus I saw a video from someone who did place a VIP pre-order who talked about rumors that they didn't even have enough product to fulfill pre-orders for people who already paid months ago. I did try today, stayed up at midnight (east coast time) and everything. took an hours or two to be able to get anything in my cart only to not be able to checkout then the item was no longer available. it went back and forth between available and not. I finally gave up after a few hours of trying.

As someone who works in IT, I think it’s probably just because there were too many people trying to order that the same time with limited stock. They probably don’t have that many people on their website usually so they didn’t have the capacity to handle all of this. (Like how often people buy 2k+ bags ?) We can’t expect it to work like Amazon where they have so many powerful servers and use to millions of people checking out at the same time.

I am so glad I wasn’t vested because I can’t afford to be let down again regarding a bag; happens to me too much already 😂 I played around with a pencil case and some little book that was about $100 though and put them into cart. So I got the blue empriente Rosalie coin purse, notebook, and bandeau. I got up and went to the store and stood in line until they opened. Even then it wasn’t a lot of stuff but they had a few bags and a couple of SLGs but limited. My CA came in at 1pm and I got to order my bandeau. I really wanted the key pouch though but it was all luck and location for me.

I’m sure they will restock because they’ve decorated the boutiques around this collaboration it would be crazy to leave the windows and interior decorated with nothing to sell. Also, some boutiques didn’t have the bags and other packaging for the launch so they have to send it to the buyer later😢. Nothing luxurious about how this played out for people mostly in the US. Meanwhile in other countries I saw champagne or coffee being served to people picking up their beautifully packaged items.

Hi yep just wanted a small card case and same issue available to order but error messages every time. Got to checkout screen finally only to be told seconds later item was out of stock. I have been shopping LV FOR OVER 20++ years and do not ever ever recall this issue! I am lucky to have e our jaws a couple of murakami pieces back when they org came out and did not have an issue at all and all seemed to ran smoothly. LV do better! They are trying to set themselves up for exclusive client like Hermes! Come on! Note to self do not go after the limited collections. Not worth tie time or sanity.😮

I have a white speedy 30 from the first launch twenty yrs ago so I'm really glad my CA was able to get the 2 slgs I wanted. All I wanted was the key pouch. I let a CA know early December. She said to call her on the 12th of December so I did. Ghosted. I never heard from her again. 😒 Now since midnight, I have also been on the app refreshing. It said “add to cart” and I was able to add it about 4 separate times. Every time I got to checkout it said “no longer available”. I gave up by 9:30am. Tell me why that CA decided to email me a purchase link at 9:35! No heads up. No call, text, nothing. So I didn’t check my email until 11:00. I missed the 1 hour deadline to pay using the link and the order was cancelled. Man, I’ve been heated all day.

I contacted my SA about Murakami in early December and placed a pre-order a few days before Christmas. LV canceled my order because I hadn’t spent $100,000 - $50,000. I gave my SA a list of things I wanted for when my price tier opened up and was able to get a CarryAll, bandeau, and key holder today. I had the Lisa, Rosalee and Romy card holders on my list but was told that even $50k customers couldn’t get them. I have them still on my wishlist with the black sunglasses. I make purchases every year and do not appreciate being treated like a second class customer…

My understanding is that there were three pre-order tiers. >$100k; >$50k; and >$25k. Any attempt to jump tiers results in immediate cancellation. My CA told me this happened at multiple stores, including Beverly Hills and other flagships. All other clients would likely be contacted by their CA to collect a refundable deposit to apply to merchandise shipped to the store, if available. Naturally, CAs will contact their most loyal clients or those with whom they’ve a consistent relationship. My CA said those who pop in from time-to-time and shop with random CAs or multiple locations run the risk of not getting a pre-order call from any CA because they are more interested in the product, not the relationship and said the smart ones learned their lesson from the Nike collab and the Kusama launches. Apparently, Vuitton, like Chanel and Hermes, now prioritizes in-store relationships over online. Congratulations on getting so much of what you want!

Gurllll OMG SAME!!!!! I Check the website all last night… Woke up this morning. Did it again over and over and over finalllyyyy said add TO cart !!! Then did an error out message Then said add to cart and an error out again. then I waited on hold for 40 minutes on Louis Vuitton online disconnected me then I called back waited another 40 minutes. It disconnected me finally was contacted by a client advisor from the Louis Vuitton one 800 number only to tell me that they couldn’t put it in cart so I finally gave up and then I realized that it was all a hoax That it was VVip and VIP ONLY!! Jus BS UM IM MAD BUT !! U know what can we do !! Jus sucks !! Then I was at Burlington and this lady was admiring my purse from LV and said that she was on her way to go down and pick up her collection in Beverly Hills and she told me that nobody can get it online that it was all special order pre-order for only VVIP‘s only so it just sucks

Thanks for the video 😊 I experienced the same thing, but after a few hours of refreshing and retrying, I was able to make a purchase. I definitely waisted too much of my time and patience on this lol I pickup up the pen pouch in the white. I was able to add several more items to my cart all the way to check out, but I ended up removing them because I realized i had just gotten caught up in the frenzy of it all and didn't really want them all so i removed them except the pen pouch.

But 15 min later I tried to get another item and there were error messages and the items kept being being "sold out", then reappearing, then sold out again. It was annoying. Thankfully I spent a lot last year and earlier this year. Apparently, their VIC status is always based in the previous 12 months. I live in Missouri but have shopped a couple times in Beverly Hills. I was able to call a SA and I purchased and it’s in route a Rosalie Wallet from the Rodeo drive store. The SA was great , I worked with her once buying my daughter her first bag. ❤ makes me sad to see all the struggles but I could tell no way I was going to hop online and get it. So thankful we had that connection.

It was easy in Australia. I preordered through customer service centre and all items available at 3pm launch day online. Still a lot of bags left etc. we didn’t get the key pouch in Aus though :(. My preorder arrived on launch day to me home and came with the stickers, ribbon, panda card and bag. I feel for all who missed out. It must be frustrating!

I’m thankful that this wasn’t a drop I was interested in. Cuz I woulda had a fit if I did want something and couldn’t get it. I also have a couple different SA’s in different cities for times like this. I remember wanting the hobo loop GM & having multiple people to contact was how I got it. I don’t know if LV mishandled this technically like the site issues because they want some level of exclusivity. I do think that LV wants their products available to certain people. Which sucks. I’ve heard a LOT of people are disappointed about the whole thing.

Yes I remember the Loop Hobo GM being a hard to get item! I love that you have several SAs. I mostly shop online and so infrequently that I don't have one. I'm going to see if any items pop up, but otherwise I'll be moving on. I'm not going through this for the other hot collections dropping this year. Matter of fact let me stick to my wishlist 🤣🤣🤣. I agree with you as well, very unfortunate. I was excited but honestly, the items aren’t even that great so we’re not even missing 😂out! I was already turned off when I realized that all of the SA’s were hush,hush and even one SA I know said it’s gonna be played like a game. It’s very sad,and foolish of them! I had one other SA I work with email me back finally on January 1st but prior to this date months ago,literally told me in Oct/nov she can’t even get any orders in until then and told me that’s what they were told. This turned me off a lot and I know what you mean because I was gonna order a slg and realized all the items did that and wouldn’t check out. I randomly clicked some to see it work for me or not and nope! I have spent a pretty penny here so whatever they lost my business! Don’t feel bad at all he of the items even stood out to me for what they’re charging but I do understand the disrespect you’re talking about. Stay safe, and keep your head up high! ❤

Maybe try to buy a vintage piece. The availability will be plenty especially from Japan resellers and prices reasonable. Also, I’m positive that the quality will be much better than what’s being produced now.

My online but in store pickup order did not go through properly. Like if that wasn’t an acceptable option they should not have offered it. The website launch was embarrassing for a multibillion dollar company. The only reason I got the shoes I wanted was because I went into the store the next day to figure out what was going on. And they had them in stock. The sa was really lovely and helpful. I honestly also feel bad for them with this entire fiasco.

There’s other things I want to buy from other brands this season. This might also have been a mistake on their part, because I’d consider buying it later in the year from the boutique if it was still going to be around

I agree…the entire launch was a joke. I honestly don’t think it would have mattered even if you had an SA. Unless you were VIC or a major influencer, LV had nothing to offer us common folk for this collection. This, in my opinion goes back to there being no option for us to actually preorder any of the items. Any other collection, I am typically sent the preorder email. I never received anything with this collection, so I knew it would be impossible to secure any of the items. We all feel the same way you do. ❤

I was fortunate enough to get the mini speedy. I texted my SA New Year’s Day. She initially texted me saying it was out of stock but texted me today saying she got me a bag but I would have to pay asap. HOWEVER, I do find it annoying that LV gave most of the bags away to irrelevant influencers. I mean like girls with barely any engagement who you can tell don’t gaf about the brand. It’s irritating and off putting! Allow clients and people who want to enjoy the items to purchase them. All this hype about dropping stuff on the website and posting “coming soon” was unnecessary when they knew dang well nothing was left. There’s no point in even hyping up a collection if you aren’t offering it to the public. I am over the games with a lot of these brands.

At first I wasn’t interested but Fomo is real. I purchased a pre loved black speedy 30 from eBay at a good price right before Xmas. I really want something from the white collection but I don’t want to pay those prices. I was able to purchase the black and white bandeaus through my client advisor. I was having the same issues online as you. Fingers crossed the order isn’t cancelled.

I was not totally interested in the collection but it probably is the Lord’s protection. They gifted a lot of items to influencer. It may be better to go vintage at this point! Why should we spend our hard earned money when they re giving it to influencer for nothing! Crazy!

I didnt have any intention to purchase anything but i still checked the website to see what was available and just clicking on an item would give me a page error. I gave up lol. But i have already came across soooo many replicas of this collection and idk i think im just gonna go for one of those 😅 but i agree 100% with you. This collection was way to hyped up to not let everyone have a fair chance at purchasing at least 1 item. I hope when they drop the cherry blossom collection it isnt the same cause I really want something 🥲💖

All collection pieces are obtained better in the store when it doesn't move they make it available online. They want you to come into the store, online is only a way to showcase the collection. You have to obtain a Client Advisor and inform them what you want before it drops, they work on a Client Advisor system so you have to go through a person, that is how they also get additional rewards/commission. It's not about your money not being important, it's important but you have to get in line, it's supply and demand, they only produce so many limited pieces of a collection, yes they will save the collection for their best customers who contact them all the time and will buy from every category...the bag, slg, shoes and even a scarf, fair or not that is how it goes with luxury shopping aka the game of luxury shopping. They cater to their consistent customers first.

I’m a VIC and I originally didn’t order anything. But I got the bug last night and tried to order but I had the same problem as you. However, I reached out to my CA this morning and I was able to get the Victorine Wallet, White Passport Cover, Micro Speedy charm, Nice Mini, and Side Trunk MM. Items were available and then unavailable for the CAs, but fortunately my CA was constantly checking and refreshing all day. 🙏🏽

I could really care less about this collection. First of all all the secrecy and limits. I really didn't care but since I was in the store for something else I asked and the SA told me you had to be in the group that spends $100,000 or more well not me! also I think they missed the mark by not including an agenda MM especially GM in this collection. That would have sold like hotcakes. There was something about it that just doesn't hold up to the original collection. I don't feel like I missed out on a thing, IMHO
