Great video! If I could only use 1 product that you can get in regular stores what would you recommend? Regular silicone spray?
@EastTactics
@EastTactics 3 ай бұрын
WD-40 for an after wash lacquer over the plastics, for a nice shine and rust prevention. Don’t treat the bearing With wd40 tho. QD electric cleaner for diff breakdown Or a regular silicon spray.

It’s fine if it gets sprayed on or near the bearings. But if you really want to treat the bearings buy some bearing grease like perpetual motion or something from Cow Rc

My problem is the up tic on price just because it for "RC" cars/trucks. A good air compressor and simple green foam/spray then wd-40 doesnt offset the cost for cow rc stuff. Their other products like mats and such look killer for sure. Cheers from hooper utah!!

Just gonna say what you were doing before was totally fine. Only thing I’d change is after or before (doesn’t really matter) wd40 you spray all the moving parts with PB blaster silicone. A lot of people mistake wd40 for a lubricant. I think the cow RC stuff is fine and a quality product and for people who don’t know, it cuts down on “is this chemical safe for plastic or electronics or rubber? What kind of grease should I use in my diffs? Or should I use oil? What weight? Did I leave the stove on? Holy shit I’m gonna totally destroy my RC before I even run it!” But for me the convenience of just going to any store and getting my stuff outweighs the “specifically made for RC” sales pitch. I get the other side of that coin though. Lord knows I buy products specifically for something if I’m not comfortable in that specific field. Then some 80 year old guy walks by and goes “ya know you could have just used salt water, right?” 🤦🏾‍♀️ thanks Mr. Jenkins.

I hear ya, and I like your perspective on the topic. It’s very true in a lot of cases. I myself also liked the idea of being able to run to the local hardware store and have access to many of the products that have worked perfectly well for the first, two years in the hobby. However, I can genuinely say that after running into Cow Rc stuff, yes, it is specifically for RC. I was very impressed, even over the great stuff of Old. I do think it convenient as well that instead of having to run around a local storefront to grab all these things to replenish my old. I’m just as happy with jumping online and making a quick order of everything I need from him. I’m way more impressed with his cleaner, his lubricants, and the moo slick that will be replacing WD-40. I think that, instead of taking a large brush and lacquering my whole rig with WD-40, now I can simply hang it on a hook and spray it down with this moo slick, which hands-down is amazing. Also… I find myself using his wipes more on household projects then I do RC stuff lol so you know something is definitely right when you’re using specific RC related products on outside RC product projects lol. Thanks for commenting appreciated and enjoyed your commentary.

I think the only thing that kicks as is the moo slick. I use that and super happy. I use simply green wipes that works perfectly. I’m considering their car wash concentrate though. But I’ve been fine with just simply green spray.

Man, seeing this level of rig cleaning makes me second guess my whole basher life 😵‍💫🤔 I definitely need a deep clean on my kraton 6s EXB and this looks like a good 4 hours of detailed cleaning (plus wait times of course). But man, I have a heavy load of cleaning ahead of me. Do you do this level of cleaning after every bash session? And heat videos btw. I appreciate all the real basher life vids and detailed explanations. Helps a lot! Thanks

Very interesting if I only use any plastic ramps. But that stuff looks all good for any rc car. Control arms too why not. Cleaning your electronics are huge too. Ball bearings you pretty much have to replace them least once a year or before the 2nd season like I do. Or any squeaks I fixed it right away. Great video ET.

Fills twice? Dang man!! You really like your moo clean ratio to be really strong!!! Most of us use a 32oz bottle to make either 4 gallons of heavy duty or 10 gallons of regular duty cleaner….so cut that in half for your 16 oz bottle. You filled a 1.5 liter sprayer twice for $30, that’s some expensive foam!! You sure you didn’t get those ratios wrong?

@@EastTactics no problem! Glad to help; if it did…the label doesn’t list the ratio; but the site product descriptions do. Also, Heath is way cool and has always been willing to talk w/me if I had any product question or issue. Coolest owner I’ve encountered in two decades of RC. I love CowRC stuff; their cleaning and lube stuff is all awesome but the car cleaning regimen was a time saving game changer for us. Not to mention the quality of the stuff and peace of mind knowing you’re not rusting metal or ruining plastics. All the other non-RC focused multi products really don’t compare.

Yeah, they were very close as far as the end result after an hour with no agitation. However, what I can say about moo clean is that it dries Is much faster. It also is designed to leave behind more protective components, that are better for your plastics. I also feel like I’m running out of the simple green really quickly and I seem to keep the cow clean around a lot longer after mixed concentrate inside that canister. But again, as I mentioned in the video, simple green, is a great product.

Devil's advocate- Simple green foaming does way better than that. I didn't even see any foam, just a little sputtering. Another thing I'd point out is the rear of the rig is always going to see more dirt ect from the front tires kicking it up. your arms are pitted, dirt and dust likes to cling in there. Conversly, the top of the front a arm sees nothing. Any of the foaming cleaners work great I've used them for years, they clean up like brand new. Just saying if you wanna do a solid comparo gotta be better than kinda sorta the same close enough if you squint. Just my .02
@EastTactics
@EastTactics Жыл бұрын
Your input is definitely welcome. And admittedly, I was a little bit disappointed that I was at the tail end of my simple green. However, the foaming attribute isn’t particularly as crucial as the fact that I was spraying on the main product. For example, the moo clean doesn’t necessarily have to be put into a foaming container. You could just put it into a regular squirt bottle and it squirts out like any other liquid. That is basically the equivalent of what the simple green was doing. Well, yes, I wish it was foaming more during the application on the rear end it was still definitely giving plenty of coverage of the product on the vehicle. That said in regards to your comment about trying to justify that the rear end gets more dirty than the front end, I would disagree with that logic. The front end bulkhead has just as many moving components, and exactly the same ability of attracting dirt as the rear end. Sure…One might say the front is kicking up dirt to the rear end. One could also say the front end is the one nose diving into all of the dirt, and taking the brunt of all of the earth first and foremost, because it takes the front seat. I didn’t just show the top of the front arms, I showed the whole front end bumper and all. Plus, I showed the before condition of my vehicle, and the front end was clearly just as dirty as the rear. Regardless, both ends get dirty just as quickly. Now regarding simple green I’ve always loved that product, it’s a great product and it does a great job. But it does not have the same beneficial attributes by any means close to the cow RC products. It cleans right up there with it though. So I still stand behind my excitement for coming across and using the cow RC products that not only clean, just as good, but also have a lot of beneficial compounds left behind that are good for your plastics bearings, tires and metals. Did you watch my follow up video pitting the cow RC electric cleaner directly up against the QD electric cleaner. The cow RC stands tall there as well. Thanks for your comment, I promise I do value constructive criticism for sure.

@@EastTactics That's cool that you found a product that works better for you. My personal business experience w/ private labeling just has me skeptical. Getting your name on a product label is not hard these days. Speaking from experience. I just have a hard time understanding how an out of nowhere RC specific chemical cleaning company comes up w/ the money, education and facilities to out do big companies that pump millions into product development. The kicker though is not just 1 product that tops the market in its category but a whole lineup! lol No, I didn't catch the other review I kinda bob and weave through. Not gonna line brother it's a little long winded for me. You repeat yourself and over explain, IMO. Constructive criticism, not trying to be mean or rude, I hope you appreciate the honesty, few people will tell you the truth about your content to your face. Lets see some different rigs on the channel! The Fireteam is crying out for some love!

I actually really like the constructive criticism, it does help me grow for sure. And you’re right I definitely can repeat myself too much lol. Being the editor of my own videos has shown me such. I’ll continue to try to minimize that. As far as cow rc products, believe it or not, he’s actually been around in the industry for well over a decade, the entire time, honing his craft, and adding to his lineup. I promise there’s definitely something unique about his product that separates itself. Anyway, thanks again for your insights and I wish you a blessed week..
