Jeremy Lin got dreads and half your community took offense. This guy basically makes some of his movies based on Asian culture and when he acts like he's all of a sudden an expert when he just knows some stuff, they can't call him out? He's basically appropriating Chinese culture. I'm not making this about race, but I'm just saying, aren't you a bit bias maybe because you probably just see race, maybe because you're not looking at this outside of being too hard a fanboy? Whatever it is you missed the whole point, you got mad before it even started, obviously clouding your judgement. You sound more hurt about him telling the actor to not talk about it because it's not related to you, than listening to the whole point of the video. But I bet you would be more verbal if it's related to misinformation about your culture. Hey, if MJW, was an expert in Chinese Culture, for sure bud. But he ain't. He has a lot of clout, people will believe what he say. If we have an Asian or White man who is just as famous, saying shit like this too about your culture, you'd try to correct them too, and say something like that too, that they need to chill and stop acting like they're some expert, especially when they're an actor who will influence others for sure, thus some form of misinformation will spread. It's a no brainer, but guess you only see colors, because why wouldn't you, a grown man not see it.

In this case, how can you say they're wrong? They are stating how they feel about this ('I hate', 'I love'), they aren't otherwise making claims about reality. "They didn't meditate, conserve and spread martial arts". Well, the knights of the round table didn't because they were not real, but actual knights did meditate, and did practice and teach martial arts. Just the European kind, not the Asian kind, but they're still documented combat systems and disciplines.

@Estupitastico4 жыл бұрын
@@ImagineWagons38011 I don't know much, but i think i can give you a few pointers. German knights would for instance learn Ringen, very usefull to know how to grapple and wrestle so they could throw the fully armored opponent to the ground, control his limbs and maybe try to stab him with their dagger in the weaker points of the armor. It really covers a lot of ground and i don't want to confuse you nor poison you with bad information because of my own ignorance, so if it interests you i'd advice you to look for HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) on Wikipedia. If you want in depth historical information, you should go to the specialized Wiki on the subject, the Wiktenauer. And of course, you always have KZbin, but take anything you find on YT with a grain of salt because it's not very reliable, as is usually the case with easily digested information. As you will see, there is a practitioner perspective and an academic perspective to HEMA, with a whole spectrum in between. I hope my bad english wasn't too unbearable, and sorry for the mountain of text. I believe this man. He said exactly how many long he spent at Shaolin. In 3 years a gifted person in martial arts can learn a lot. I respect this man. He doesn’t exaggerates himself. I like that. I never exaggerated what I’ve done in my life. This is called stolen valor. I like how he explains this subject.

Michael: Barely mentions Shaolin Rantoni: *So you have chosen **_D E A T H_* So after watching the video im kinda disappointed of michael...Shaolin monks are very cool people judging by my own experience. I love the shaolin culture and especially shaolin kung fu and i was really happy when ubisoft added a shaolin in for honor. I would really like to experience what its actually like to live like them and learn some more about shaolin kung fu. Sadly ill probably never will :P But you can dream i guess right? Basically how every person should be, there is a time for fun and game and a time to be serious. Attaining Balance between the two is what we should strive towards.

Hi Ranton. You have great videos. How many times has the Shaolin Temple been burned down during various periods? 👍🏻
